Fairfield Inn by Marriott

Loved my stay here! Rooms are clean and breakfast was delicious. I LOVE bacon and there was bacon for breakfast!!! Also eggs, waffle maker (there was a cinnamon waffle mix. soo good!), cereal, bread, oatmeal, biscuit and gravy.
The bathroom has the toilet and bathtub in there and the sink right outside. Great stay!

I had to go to Portland for work recently and ended up staying at the Fairfield Inn. There is nothing fancy about this hotel. The front desk staff was great! The room I stayed in was clean, but the walls were thin. I could easily hear the TV of my neighbor, as well as his phone conversations. It’s a small hotel, 3 floors. It was 100% full when I stayed, so parking was a bit difficult in the evenings. At rush hour, the street this hotel is on is jam packed, however, for my purposes the location was prime for access to my work location. In a pinch, I would stay here again.

We came here from Reno for a friend’s wedding and it’s our first time in Oregon. This was one of the closest and a little lower on price compared to the others nearby to where we needed to be for the venue. I really liked how it was near the freeway because it was nice to be close by after getting off the freeway after a long drive and we were near a lot of nearby shopping stores and restaurants which was nice. I absolutely enjoyed our stay here and it felt like home which is something I’ve never experienced at any hotels I’ve stayed at anywhere. The staff was nice except for one lady who seemed all snobby and when I asked her some questions her response would sound like I was stupid and that I had no knowledge of anything and she even had to top it off with that snobbish look too but just one person didn’t affect my stay there. I just knew not to ask her for assistance. We were on the 2^nd floor and down near the end of the hall which was not even an issue at all with the walk and waiting for the elevator. It was actually nice to be down the hall. The room was so clean and I was even surprised that the carpets were clean that we could walk barefoot. We have a 16 month old and a 4 year old and we weren’t too concerned if they happened to roll on the floor. I love how the sink is separate from the toilet and the shower. The shower is clean with barely any grimes, dirt, or stains. Even the shower head was clean to my surprise. The bed was soft, but somehow my back hurt during our stay. Not sure if it’s just because I’m not use to soft beds but it was good for my boyfriend and kids. Appreciated having a mini fridge. Wish there was a microwave in the room, but there is one down in the lobby that can be used where breakfast gets served. I really loved and enjoyed what they served for breakfast they provided and the lobby that it’s in. It never felt crowded and there was always an open table for us. The ladies that were managing the breakfast were always smiling and polite and greeting everyone and would immediately clean up a table when they saw it necessary. They had a thing where they have a guest of the day that’s up on a sign that’s next to the doors where breakfast is served. I’m not sure if they just randomly choose someone or if you have to be some kind of special guest, but it’s kind of nice to be appreciated like that. The pool is indoor and their work out room has several basics things just to get a good basic workout throughout your stay. I would definitely love to come back here!

So glad I only had to stay overnight waiting for a connecting flight. This is one of the worst hotels in the Marriott chain. No perks for elite members.
Elevator was as small as a coffin and rattled. The room was ok until I pulled back the covers to find hair and a stained sheet, ON BOTH BEDS!
I would not stay here again.

While I agree that the room is smallish and maybe no perks, I was greated with enthusiasm. I had done a mobile check-​in for noon, and showed up at 11:30. When I gave them my name she was so excited that I had used the mobile check-​in. They had my keys ready and I was good to go in less than 3 minutes.
I had reserved a king room $ 89 for one night, and the room has a fridge and microwave. The bed seems comfortable and for the price I can’t complain. We have not had breakfast yet but so far the stay is great and the people are too.

Not the best. Rooms are really small, front desk person was borderline offended that we were taking advantage of the free parking feature. Will likely not stay there again.

Absolutely the worst experience at a Marriott, probably at any hotel ever. The room was stuffy and made us both sick from all the particles of who-​knows-​what in the air. The noise from other guests was unreal — yelling in the halls at 2am, screaming children and blaring TVs all night long. Beyond that, the noise from outside was impossible to drown out, even with a noisemaker. I know it’s by an airport, so you get the screeching jets landing overhead every few minutes, but there’s also a freight train that goes by every hour, highway noise, and general chaos outside.
We were supposed to stay two nights and left immediately the next morning after we arrived. We’ll be finding any other place — NOT by the airport.

This was one of the finer Fairfield Inns I’ve stayed in. The staff were great. The room was really clean. Loved having the fridge and plenty of TV channel options.
The only «issue» was the quality of the TV reception.

Not a fan of this hotel. First of all, I could have sworn when I booked it, that the rate was $ 119. However, when I got here it was $ 129. The Marriott website says $ 129 as well, but I really don’t think I would have booked a Fairfield Inn for that price. The staff is friendly and the room was clean. However, the walls are paper thin. And there was some sort of young girls sports team staying on the same floor. So I’ve had to deal with a lot of noise. I have a door for an adjoining room, and someone tried to open it from the other room last night, just as I was getting to sleep. Needless to say, that startled me and I slept with the TV on all night. I will say this, you cannot hear noise outside the hotel, which is good for a hotel located near the airport and freeway. I doubt I would ever stay here again. I definitely would not at that rate. It is nowhere near worth that price tag a night.

This place is good for a 1 – 2 night stay. It’s near the airport and close to a Costco (if you need gas). Parking is also free.
Rooms were clean and free breakfast in the morning wasn’t bad either. Nothing great, nothing bad.

I used my Marriott Rewards and paid the difference for a two night stay. The front desk was friendly and let me know where everything was at. They have a shuttle, which I did not use. There is a Burger King a few hundred feet away that looked like nobody ever ate at. Across the street is a Subway and a liquor store. Within driving distance is a shopping center at Cascades.
The hotel was your usual hotel, nothing too fancy. It does have a microwave and mini fridge, pluses for me. The bed looks like it sinks in a little in the middle, but it worked well for my sleep.
You are next to the airport and will hear the planes. I only heart them twice, once each night. I was doing other things and the planes did not bother me. For those that complain about the noise of the planes, don’t stay near the airport if you’re a light sleeper.
Loved the free wifi. I never understand why expensive hotels charge, and other ones don’t. Free parking, breakfast, coffee ²⁴⁄₇.
Breakfast had scrambled eggs and sausage, bagels, english muffins, muffins, bananas and apples, oatmeal with some raisins and walnuts for toppings and waffles. They also had some mixed fruit, but it looked old so I didn’t try it.
The tv looked a little fuzzy, it wasn’t super sharp, but it did swivel.
I loved that they always have coffee out, with real cream! I hate powdered packets. There was the option of hazlenut, vanilla, and 3 other flavors as well as tea.
There is a gym and a swimming pool. I only used the weight machine, which works fine but is a little old.
I did have to hold down the handle on the toilet if I wanted to make sure everything flushed. Everything always went down, just remember to hold down the handle.
Overall a great stay!

Met all if my qualifications for the visit: shuttle to/​from the airport, clean and comfortable, easy access to nearby restaurants, well-​trained staff attentive to guest needs and reasonably priced for my unexpected overnight stay after my connecting flight was canceled because of bad weather.

Good place for an overnighter near PDX. Hotel to PDX shuttle. Food within walking distance, and a few strip mall shops and food within a short drive. Not too noisy from taking off flights. Standard quick breakfast, although I noticed staff was all over making sure the breakfast buffet was stocked and clean — among the best Marriott properties I’ve been to.

I found this place online through my triple A discount and in pictures it looked reasonable, but when I experienced my first night, I was not impressed. First of all, the toilet was not flushing and was running, however the bowl didn’t fill up with enough water. I called the front desk (night shift) and they said the plumber wouldn’t be available until the morning. I said «I understand that, but somebody needs to fix that or can we move to another room?» The man said he would send somebody. The first knock on the door was actually the front desk guy who handed us a plunger and walked away as if we had to handle it ourselves. I was pissed, this was not a job for the hotel guest to do. So I walked up to the front desk and asked to speak to the manager, there’s no manager during the night shift so I was stuck with one lone front desk guy who clearly didn’t want to be there. A few minutes later, we got another knock on the door and it was an employee who said he was actually a shuttle driver for the hotel, but can try and fix the toilet. After his attempt, he concluded that the part needed to be replaced in order for the tank to fill up properly. He said we could use the toilet, but that it would be a low flow temporarily until they could fix it in the morning. After tipping the guy a couple dollars for his help, I called the front desk to let him know that the toilet was still not fixed, to which he replied «You’re going to have to wait for the morning, sorry there’s nothing I can do right now.» Luckily, there were public restrooms near our room so I used those instead. The next day our toilet was fixed, but I still used the public restrooms instead for fear of another toilet terror. Possible solutions to this toilet terror: the front desk should have moved us to another room or give us another discount, or something complimentary for a toilet that was not in working order when we first arrived to our room. The only good things about this place were that it was convenient to the freeway and airport, breakfast was available, parking was outside (there were no covered spots), and it was located by a couple of places to eat within walking distance.

This is my first stay at an airport hotel, as usually I find that it’s far from everything. When traveling I like to be near the places I want to go in order to maximize my time instead of spending it driving. Also, it’s nice to sleep in. Fellow Unilocaler Zeela D. booked this place with a AAA discount and breakfast is included so the price was great! We arrived at night, and the guy at the front desk was friendly enough. Lobby and room were clean, but here’s when it went horribly wrong. Someone used the bathroom, number one I might add, and the toilet was NOT flushing and it looked like it was going to overflow. We contacted the guy at the front and he comes to our room with a plunger and hands it to me. Zeela and I were like excuse me??! Not to sound all high and mighty but I am pretty sure we didn’t clog the toilet and why do we need the plunger? The guy at the desk was NOT helpful and rude and did not want to help a girl out. Poor driver of the Marriott shuttle had to come in and look at it. He tried his best, but we weren’t going to chance it. Lucky for us we were on the first floor so we were able to use the restrooms because we were to afraid to use ours. In the morning, someone from maintenance across the way came by and fixed it but still haven’t tried it.
All in all, if you have Room 121 beware. You can hear the toilet refilling every few minutes and the guy who works at the front desk at night is just awful. Would I stay here again? No. If you’re just in for a flight and need a quick place to stay for a night this would do but I would look elsewhere.

It’s a good deal for the price! Breakfast had a good selection. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Overall service, loved it!

This was a nice Fairfield with friendly staff. Well kept hotel; no complaints. Had scrambled eggs and sausage for breakfast which was nice.

We stayed to nights at the Fairfield Inn. The staff was nice and helpful especially the night girl she works 9 – 7 and was happy and friendly.

The only reason this doesn’t have 5 stars is because the parking sucked they were sealing the asphalt this weekend.

My stay at the Fairfield has been very nice. I am here now with my two boys as we go see family in the area. The hotel is clean and the room (two doubles) has enough space for the three of us.
The beds remind me that it might be time for me to get a new one when i get home. The matress is firm, yet very comfortable.
There is airplane noise when the flight patterns change going into Portland International, however I expected this when I saw the hotels location.
My family and I enjoyed the breakfast. It is your typical waffle bar, fruit, pastries and juice. The difference here for me was seeing breakfast sandwhiches available. I did try one and while the smell was wonderful, the taste was… well, so, so (I know I am not rating Jimmy Dean).
I would return… and plan on it when I visit family again.

This is everything you would expect of a moderate hotel. The staff is nice, the beds are comfy and neighbor noise isn’t an issue. Also, the complimentary breakfast in the morning has a great selection so you can have something different every morning of your stay. It is very convenient to the airport and they have a free shuttle, but it’s a little far from downtown.
Overall, great for the price.
