I’m getting a pedicure — I don’t know what the hell for? I mean it’s gross, dark, and rainy out… not heading to Mexico anytime soon. I dash across the street after I park. I am excited to try a new salon (new to me). The reception was fair. They were not very busy, so were able to accommodate my walk-​in pedicure request.
I sat down into the chair and the tub of water they got started for me was not very hot. I prefer it really hot.
The workmanship was solid. I picked the Classic Pedicure option for $ 35. The technician cut my nails and did a nice job. Not much massage, but efficient. My polish was an OPI called Didgeridoo Your Nails.
Ambiance was pleasant — no TVs, a little music, a nice rock garden in the middle of the salon. They offer complimentary beverage. I chose a hot tea, but saw Alcohol offered, too.
When I left, she wrapped my toes in saranwrap to protect it from my boots that I wore in. I didn’t have flip flops. She promised if it smudged, to return the next day for fix. One big toe did smudge. The rest were spared. Clean restroom. I would recommend.

This is totally my happy place. They are always too able to squeeze me in when I show up unannounced. Super friendly, fantastic job everytime I go in, and while the «extras» are always offered, I don’t feel pressured by the staff to accept.

I love this place. Very comfortable and clean. It’s usually an easy walk-​in for a good pedi.

No. No. No. Took my mother and daughter here for a manicure and pedicure. We had no idea when they were done because they were mostly interested in looking at whatever was on the iPad they were gathered around. We finally had to ask them if it was OK to leave. When I went back through the credit card we had been overcharge by 12.00. No thank you or any kind of goodbye. It’s clean and that’s about the only positive thing I can say.

I don’t like posting negative reviews, but I wouldn’t want someone to get a bad job done like I did. First off, I showed a photo of what I wanted (long, thin, rectangle matte pink acrylics), and I got a HORRIBLE job done. The nail shape was very thick & very bulky and the paint was awful. The nail polish must have been old or just no good. It was very streaky and bumpy– HORRENDOUS. I don’t get my nails done often, so I was very upset to have a really bad job done. It was so bad, I was trying to hide it rather then feeling confident with beautiful nails. I don’t recommend this place to anyone. The lady was nice, but the job was just terrible, and cost me $ 30-​$ 35. Also, when I was there, there was a man that was being very loud & it wasn’t a relaxing or enjoyable experience at all. I have 2 young children, that is the only time I have to relax, very unhappy.

Worst manicure I’ve ever received. They rushed through it and then overcharged me by 4 dollars.
I was never offered a «menu» for type of manicure I wanted and never offered any beverage. Seems their customer service is inconsistent at best. I had to ask for some water as it was a hot day and I’m pregnant. I was really looking forward to a little bit of pampering. I will never go back and am contesting the charge.

I am new to Portland and don’t have a go-​to nail salon here. Because eNails is only a few blocks away I decided to give them a shot. After 3 visits I feel compelled to review (in bullet point form, ’cause it’s easier).
The Pros:
— The atmosphere is great. It’s clean and done up in a very spa-​like fashion. There’s soft music with water/​beach sounds playing and the lighting is very dim, conducive to a relaxing experience.
— The midlevel pedicure is excellent. They do a hot wax and massage and warm towel wrap. It felt faboosh!
— There are a million high quality (OPI and China Glaze) colors to choose from.
— The wine is complimentary (and you can choose red or white).
— The staff is friendly and speak English fluently.
The Cons:
— They don’t take direction well and stick to their standard routine. I’m a hiker and need my toenails cut super short. They debate with me every time and still don’t cut them short enough.
— They aren’t the most skilled callus removers. Again, I hike, I have rough feet and need a skilled technician to remove my calluses.
— They always ask (awkwardly) if I can pay in cash. It’s off-​putting and makes me uncomfortable.
Overall, it’s a good nail salon, but it could use improvement. For now I will keep looking for the perfect fit which means I will be trying out a couple of the other salons in Sellwood.

Love! This is by far one of my favorite nail salons. The girls speak really good English, the pricing is fair, it’s CLEAN and there is a huge selection of nail polishes. The massages are great and my feet feel WONDERFUL definitely worth a try! Complimentary tea, soda, wine, etc. iPads too! Very bright and peaceful, they have a special air system that makes it so the inside doesn’t smell like acetone AND another big plus for me was that since they all speak English well, there is no need for other language chatter that makes some guests uncomfortable! :)

Lucky to stop in here. Got a great pedicure and manicure, especially the massage part from Le. Could not believe they will not more busy. The people are very nice and Salon is clean. Highly recommend this location.

UNIMPRESSED. On my last day off, I decided to get a manicure and pedicure, for a little post-​Christmas relaxation. I opted for the classic manicure and pedicure. I usually go to Tao Nails on milwaukie, as it is equally close to my house. I chose the colors I wanted, and sat in the pedicure chair. It was around 4:30 pm, and the salon didnt close that evening until 7pm. My pedicure and manicure was done at the same time, and the technician doing my manicure was SO sloppy and seemed rushed. By the end, I showed her that the polish was on my cuticles and skin around my nail. They offered to re-​do it, and I agreed to, but this extended my appointment by more than 40 minutes with the removal and re-​painting… Meanwhile, the salon was empty and the other staff members were sitting around on their phones looking bored. So, what was the big hurry in the first place?
I will not be returning to this salon. In the future I will only go to Tao Nails or The Purple Door on Milwaukie Ave.

There are a lot of nail places in the Sellwood area, and I have tried most of them. This place is great, and it’s not super busy like the others in the area. Everyone is friendly, the place is clean and spacious, and there are plenty of pedicure stations. Ivy is my girl, but don’t go booking her up, she’s mine! Just kidding… kinda :)
In all seriousness, here’s why I love it. I get the shellac polish that lasts several weeks. Every time I go to another nail salon, the shellac starts to chip or peel off after the first week. If I’m spending more money for a manicure to last longer, it needs to last more than a week. I have never had a problem with peeling polish after going to e-​nails and that’s why I keep going back. The only reason I didn’t give this place 5 stars is because the décor is absolutely hideous. Here is the color scheme: baby blue, red, lavender, green and orange. You heard me right sisters! It is by far, the ugliest nail salon I’ve ever been in. This of course would never make me stop going, but it’s almost comical how horrendous the paint colors are. I will help them paint if they need volunteers…

I have fallen in love with Mary. If she wasn’t already married, if I wasn’t straight and married — I would take her home! She is wonderful. I have gone to her twice now. 1^st for a pedicure and then for a manicure. The manicure was perfectly painted and detailed and they fixed my broken nail (some salons won’t do that, they just cut it off, which looks dumb). I work on my feet so my feet are a hot mess and Mary got them looking young and fresh. Thanks so much, I will keep going back.

I have been here with my daughters at least half a dozen times. If you have read the reviews, you notice a lot of variation. That sums up eNails. The experience is INCONSISTENT. I have had great mani/​pedis there, and not so great. One time my daughter’s toe was cut and bleeding quite a lot. The tech continued to irritate the area, with my adult daughter practically in tears, and leaving with a substantial cut on her toe.
My most recent pedi was started by a girl who seemed completely new at the job. It as if she had never done a pedi before. She did a terrible job just removing my old polish. She clipped and filed so poorly that I had to ask another tech to re-​do them. When she started to apply the polish she didn’t even put in the toes separators, I had to tell her. At that point I think I appeared exasperated, so one of the older techs finished my pedi and sent the girl to start a pedi on a new client.
So, if you don’t mind an INCONSISTENT hit or miss experience, this place is fine. Or perhaps if you know the techs (no name tags, so good luck on this) and if you can ask for a good one, then that would be fine. It is a pleasant place, easy parking, drinks offered etc.

I had a Gel polish manicure which looked good for only about 2 days until the gel polish started to chip. I have used gel polish many times in the past and this never happened. My manicure used to last almost 2 weeks, not 2 days. Also, my cuticles started to peel on every finger and was extremely painful. I assume it was from whatever was used to soften my cuticles, but the product was too harsh for my skin,

I had high hopes for eNails after seeing the interior — large, spacious, quiet atmosphere, very clean. I stopped in today on a whim as a walk-​in for a gel manicure. I don’t get my nails done often, but I wanted to give myself a relaxing treat after a very stressful day at work.
When I entered the salon, I wasn’t greeted at the front desk, I was shouted at across the salon by one of the nail technicians. The woman who did my nails (couldn’t tell you who as the techs do not wear nametags) didn’t ask me what shape I wanted my nails before she started filing them down with a nail file of questionable cleanliness, and clipped off my cuticles so sloppily and gruffly that six hours later, my fingers are still sore and I have scabs forming where my cuticles used to be. In my few experiences with nail salons, they have always asked what shape I’d like my nails and have pushed back my cuticles and only clipped off hangnails, instead of just removing the cuticles completely without asking.
The color I chose was an OPI gel color called «My Private Jet.» I chose it because I’ve had a manicure in that color at another nail salon, and it was beautiful! The color is a bit on the sheer side though. My nail technician did two coats that were sloppy and rushed — she did not cap any of my nails, so it looks very bizarre and unprofessional. She didn’t ask me if it looked okay after the two thin, streaky coats she applied, and immediately began applying topcoat before I had a chance to really look at the nails or say anything about the quality of the job. At this point, I was resigned to having a bad manicure and just let her finish so I could leave. She gave me a rough, hurried, and extremely unrelaxing hand massage (if you can even call it that), took my money, and I went on my way.
On the way out, my technician asked me if I wanted to enter a drawing for a free manicure, and I did, but I wouldn’t go back to this place even for free! I’m shocked at how many great reviews this place has. Maybe I just had a bad technician? In the car I looked at my nails and I wanted to cry at how poor the workmanship was and how much my cuticles stung. I was too emotionally beaten down from my work day to go back and complain but I wouldn’t recommend eNails to anyone. Healthy Nails is the salon I normally go to in my neighborhood when I want a manicure and the service/​quality is head and shoulders above eNails.

Best basic pedicure I have ever had. $ 25 gets you about 40 minutes, a really awesome leg rub down (my legs are SO soft right now), foot fondling, paraffin wax foot dip and all the toe stuff to go along. This could be a dangerous place for me to know about

This is a new salon in Sellwood and not crowded (yet). I say, «yet» because it’s a pretty nice new place and I can tell they are going to bring in a lot of clientele.
They have about 10 chairs and the place is super clean, nicely decorated. They even have an Aesthetician available for wax, brow tinting, lash tinting, facials. Her name is Mai. She did brow wax and tint and a pink and white fill and she is very meticulous! Very happy with the results!
The place is spacious and clean. The owner is a real nice gentleman. They are all super friendly! It has a spa atmosphere as well. All that’s missing is a massuese.
The only negatives is that there aren’t many nail techs. Sometimes they can be late on appointments (like most salons).
The plus — you can have wine, beer, champagne, or softdrinks as you get your services done! Full service mani — pedi!
Their pedi’s include paraffin, scrubs and hot rocks too!

I recently went in and had a manicure done here. It was a frustrating experience because although the spa was very clean and they were polite, the manicurist cut me 3 times during the actual manicure.
I told her at one point that what she was doing was painful and to stop, she continued and made my finger bleed. I showed her the cut and asked to be more delicate and careful. She continued to do the same thing to two other fingers!
After she was done, I asked her about doing a top coat. She said she already did it, but within the afternoon, the manicure was peeling off.
This was my one and only experience there, so perhaps there are other manicurists that would treat you better.
