Waitress was really nice and we had good service. The clam chowder and Reuben were good and the crab salad was excellent.

Nice Tavern atmosphere. Clean. Friendly staff. Nice location. Food was really good. Made an unhealthy choice and went for the fish and chip. Fresh moist fish. French fries were a little dry possibly frozen but the fish more than made up for it. Portion was generous. Will definitely stop here again

Lobster was good, as you can’t really screw up Maine lobster. Service marginal, surprised lobster came with nothing. Wouldn’t recommend.

I am assuming most of the bad reviews are for the service? We came here on sunday night of labor day weekend and sat outside. The hostess informed us the food is an hour behind so we put in our appetizer right away. about 20 minutes later we put in our meal. Our meal came out before the appetizer. We got the seafood platter to share and it was ok. We got the chili nachos as our app which just looked like they threw it in the microwave because our chips were burned and so was the cheese on top. Luckily it came with ok dips like guacamole and sour cream w salsa to make the nachos better. If it were fresh we would have loved it. The chili actually tasted good but it wasnt warm so we had to make do with how it was served :/

This place was awful and the customer service was abhorrent. Our party of 4 stopped by for some drinks on the outside deck, which was barely half full. When we ordered our drinks and she asked about what our dinner choices were, we told her we were only interested in cocktails and her response was,” well, you can only sit out here if you’re eating.” Firstly, if that’s the policy, that’s fine, but we were not told that by the hostess who sat us or the waitress before she fetched our drinks. Secondly, we now have our drinks and are seated, we aren’t going to chug our glasses of wine and beer so that you can have a vacant table for… oh right, there is no one waiting and patio area is a ghost town. When I inquired if they had a raw bar, the waitress pointed to the steamers and fried clams on the specials board. We decided, per our leisure, to finish our first drinks and leave and head to one of the numerous other seafood places literally a hundred feet away(you can see them from the porch!) This place isn’t special and acts like it’s the only choice in the Old Port when it’s not. A bitchy, uninformed waitress and the lack of communication drove us across the street to another restaurant where we spent over $ 200 and had a fantastic time. No tip and no return to this train wreck. The two and a half stars and crappy service stories seem to be spot on by fellow Unilocalers. Maybe they should take notice.

We waited for 35 minutes for a table here and right when they were walking us to the table, we were told there was an hour wait for food. This was all at 8:30 at night. Booo

Wow. Awful. Waitress forgot our drinks. The limes in the drinks were even dry. Overpriced and underwhelming. John Taffer would rip this place a new one.

OMG how this place has tumbled ! It was busy, but that’s no excuse for a hotdog I wouldn’t feed to a dog, fish cakes that had more oil than fish in them, a crab roll who’s crab looked like shredded cheese, and wine that tasted like windex. Throw in the fact our hands stuck to the sticky table, dirty menus, and ambivalent staff, it’s a shame what happened here. We were here two years ago, and to see how bad this place is now is sad.

The good: nice outdoor seating and really enjoyed the calamari that we ordered as an appetizer. The bad: the fish tacos that we ordered. In writing, they sound delicious. In reality, they are bland and not worth however much they are listed for. The ugly: am I the only one who thinks it’s dumb when restaurants refuse to split checks? This place did just that, and I am kinda(aka a lot) heated about it: it’s 2015 people… get in the game.

Good service. The fillet mignon sandwich is amazing. Bartender was very friendly! Cocktails are really good. Local micro brews on tap.

Before I wrote my STELLAR review, I decided to read some of the others. First of all, why in G-d’s name would anyone order wings or steak or ANYTHING other than seafood at a SEAFOOD establishment? Now, for the review… the staff was accommodating from the beginning. Not only were we sat immediately, but they were able to fit all 14 of us in the cozy upstairs. Ok, so this isn’t the«best looking» of places, but it was certainly the«best tasting». They forgot to bring my clam chowder, but who really cares because I was busy feasting on one of the best lobsters I ever tasted. Originally from the east coast, I’m now a Midwesterner, and a snobby one at that when it comes to my seafood. One word… delicious. If I ever came back, I would visit this place again. Oh, and btw, we orders wings, potato skins and other appetizers and it was all good.

We stopped by on a rainy Sunday afternoon. We had the steamed lobster special, the service was great and the food was fantastic! Highly recommended!!!

Had lunch out on the top deck with my sister-in-law. We love to meet there for lunch because it is close to her work, quick, and easy. Today we both had salads and as we were nearing the end my sister-in-law found a short curly hair in her salad. She let our server know and our server(who had given us great service the whole time), was very apologetic and wonderful about it. She offered us a dessert on the house which we passed on(trying to be healthy) and said she would have comped our drinks, but we had waters. We didn’t want anything we just wanted to give her a heads up that it happened. This won’t stop me from going back, I get that sometimes it happens, but hopefully they will take better precautions in the future.

Worst steak sandwich in the history of steak sandwiches. The tenderloin was oxidized so bad the bacon around it had also turned grey, it was also raw before I sent it back. The pasta salad was off, maybe aged a little. I wound up going next door to Flatbread for a pizza after wasting $ 50 on an inedible meal. Plenty of other places to eat in Portland.

After a fun day of eating great food, we decided to have dinner here. I didn’t complain the whole trip. We waited 20 minutes before the waitress took our water orders. The worst decision ever. We waited 35 minutes for raw burger burgers. Then, another 20 minutes to tell the waitress that the burgers barely felt the heat from the stove. Thank God for french fries… those were decent and cook. At the end, it’s a long wait for some uncook burgers.

Returning to Portland from an outing on the Casco Bay Lines, the Dry Dock was a convenient stop for lunch on a sunny Saturday in late August. We asked for outdoor seating and were escorted to a brightly covered picnic table on the sunny porch. Beautiful flower boxes and hanging plants surrounded us and added to beauty of the late summer sunny day. I started with a cup of the clam chowder which was chuck full of clams and tender red potatoes. Though the specials board offered tempting alternatives, we both had clam rolls which were overflowing with nicely fried whole-body clams on the tradition hotdog roll. Coleslaw and onion rings were both excellent sides and margaritas topped of the summer lunch we’d hope for. The service was attentive and friendly throughout, the atmosphere relaxed and pleasant, and the prices quite reasonable. Very enjoyable!

I thought the Dry Dock was just OK. The food I had was decent and they have a lot of sea food options but there are so many good sea food places on the waterfront that I imagine they are up against some stiff competition. The place also feels dated though it is more modern than DiMillo’s which feels absolutely ancient. It has a patio area that really doesn’t have much of a view but it’s at least outside. The patio has a bottom and top floor section. I sat in the bottom but when I looked up there were spaces in the floor above and I was constantly worrying about what was making it through the cracks and falling into my food and drink. The staff was really nice but I don’t think I will go back.

I had here for a casual lunch and ordered buffalo wings. We ordered calamari to share and my girlfriend ordered the soup and half sandwich combo. The buffalo wings was a big order and very fresh. The calamari wasn’t as fresh as my first visit and the sandwich and soup and pretty decent. All in all a pretty decent casual place to grab a bite to eat.

My husband drags me here so he can get shrimp, and I suffer through the fishy smells of the dock simply because of the Allagash White in my hands. Okay, so it’s not quite that bad, and the views from the deck make for a fun dining experience(if you can get there early enough for such a seat). On this particular occasion, the waitress told us that the Maine shrimp had been replaced earlier that week(due to the end of the season) and she didn’t find the replacement to be as tasty. Even though it didn’t affect my meal, I like when a waitress is attentive and honest with us. As for the food, there’s so many options in Old Port that you can find something better, but the Dry Dock is a good, casual, outdoor spot for a drink.

Dry Dock was a mixed bag. It was nice to sit on their upstairs deck and see the boats in the harbor, but it was kind of hard to see our food when it got dark. There was also a street light in the parking lot next door aimed straight at my friend’s face. The nachos we got for an appetizer were just dumb. They sprinkled some cheese on top of a heap of chips and then served them with salsa, guac, sour cream, and jalapenos on the side. I don’t know what others expect, but when I order nachos I want the cheese to be layered throughout and the toppings to be on top and plentiful. Condiment cups aren’t going to cut it. I got the soup and sandwich meal with clam chowder and a turkey sandwich. The clam chowder was great and clearly homemade, but the sandwich was just meh. It was thick cold slices of turkey and not much for toppings. Our meals were served with a pickle and a slice of cantaloupe? The cantaloupe just seemed so out of place. This place was just average.
