When our family’s much loved 2001 S80 needed to be replaced, DLR Nordic came to mind. They specialize in well maintained, previously owned Volvos and have an excellent reputation. My wife and I called and arranged a time to drop by (with our 5 year old son and his booster seat) for a test-​drive on a Saturday and were pleasantly surprised not to encounter any high pressure sales tactics. They just copied our drivers licenses and off we went into the nearby hills to test a car. I wish I could remember the sales person’s name, because she was very knowledgeable and straightforward about the cars they had for sale. Fast-​forward a few days later and we had our credit union financing complete, thanks to good communication with Olé, and after some paperwork, drove off with a new to us 2015 S60 T5 thinking what a great car buying experience.

Ok, so I didn’t actually end up purchasing from them because I went with another Make other than a Volvo. I test drove 2 vehicles there and Olé and the other salesperson (can’t remember her name) were so personable, knowledgeable, and no pressure. They knew everything there is to know about each of their cars (ownership, history, accidents, etc). They are very up-​front, honest people. They seemed very reasonable and were extremely helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase from them. No doubt they have repeat customers!

I didn’t buy my Volvo here, but I am writing a review for DLR Nordic because they are awesome. I drove there not knowing they sold /​serviced Volvos newer than my ’95 850; and regardless Duncan fixed my problem in 5 minutes, explained why (super volvo knowledge), and directed me to a trusted Volvo Parts /​Repair shop in SE Portland for the problem his shop did not have parts for. If I were to buy a newer Volvo this place would be it. Like the review on here says, it is probably the best place to buy a Volvo on the West Coast. Thanks Duncan!

DLR is the best place to buy Volvos on the west coast. We’re in the process of getting our 3^rd wagon from Duncan and Olé because of quality, knowledge, low pressure and helpfulness. Olé still remains our 92 wagon’s Godfather from their days together at the V Shop. If you are considering a Volvo, start here, it will likely be your last stop!

Most reasonable people don’t like dealing with the high pressure sales techniques employed by many car dealerships. DLR Nordic’s approach to sales is friendly, informative and honest.
My family needed a new car because my wife accurately characterized our 1992 240 as old enough to drink and it looks like it has been, heavily. I spent a lot of time researching cars and analyzing the used car market. After weighing our options and consulting with our trusted mechanic, we decided we wanted to purchase a newer Volvo wagon that didn’t have turbo engine or all wheel drive.
Unfortunately, cars that meet those criteria don’t come up for sale very often. I emailed Olé when I spotted a car that looked great on DLR Nordic’s site. It was easy to set up a time to take the car to our mechanic for a pre-​purchase inspection.
Once the inspection was complete, negotiating details of the sale with Olé was super smooth. Olé is an honest and creative negotiator. It’s clear that he cares about doing a good job.
Thanks to Olé, my family is now driving around in a sweet-​looking, safe and reliable car!!!

I’ve known Olé and Duncan for years, and both of them have always been pleasant to work with, and very helpful, even with technical questions.
Recently, my wife was ready for a newer car. She had been driving a 1993 240 Volvo for quite some time, and while the car is über dependable, and well-​sorted, it was time for an «upgrade». She instantly fell in love with the S60, and in particular, a flash green ’04 S60R M66 that was listed for sale at DLR Nordic.
After a very no-​pressure test drive, we decided to take a couple of days to think about our possible purchase. Olé said no problem, and even provided photos of the car emailed to my personal email, as well as some other helpful background on the vehicle.
A couple of days later we decided to purchase the car, and have had it worked on a couple of times at DLR. Every time has been a pleasure! Olé is very helpful, and goes out of his way to share technical insights on the car every chance he gets.
I highly recommend DLR Nordic, and both Duncan and Olé… they know their product, and stand behind their work!

Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Although they didn’t happen to have the rare model we were looking for, Olé was kind enough to advise us rookies on an out of state sale and even receive delivery of the vehicle while we were at work. Above and beyond the call of duty and much appreciated.

Not only will you be able to see a fine collection of well cared for Volvos you’ll actually enjoy the experience not usually associated with buying a car. No pressure, incredible knowledge and the overall well being of feeling like you are buying from someone you can trust.
I worked with Duncan while he was juggling another customer and he still was able to manage the transaction without any of the usual pressure. I may have become a Volvo customer for life and probably a customer of DLR Nordic for life as well.

We just purchased an XC90 from Duncan at DLR Nordic, and it was the best customer service. The best. He took his time with us, he was super knowledgeable, very low pressure and he was the kind of person you send your friends to and feel like you were doing your friends a huge favor. I could not recommend this place enough. They also had a well-​curated inventory. Not a bad car on the lot — you can tell they hand pick their cars carefully. I used their website first — good, lots of pictures — then visited the location near downtown. If you are buying a Volvo, you should buy it here. You’ll be very happy you did. Too bad i can’t give them 6 stars.

Saw a posting for a 2007 v70R with 6 speed MT. I had just missed out on a previous one DLR Nordic had before Christmas. I called and spoke to Olé. He was knowledgeable about Volvos and was extremely helpful. My credit union had me go through hoops because it was an out of state purchase. Olé was very patient and provided me with every information I needed.
My daughter and I drove from California and got there at 1:00 PM. By 3:00 PM, we were on our way back home with a layover in Ashland. Great car and mileage.
Other than the funny event at the gas station when I could not get the car started, all is well.

We purchased an XC90 from DLR Nordic about a year ago. They were super knowledgeable. I went in thinking I wanted the V8, but after talking to them, we decided to go with the turbo 5-​cylinder, and they had exactly the colors and options we were looking for! We wanted the all season floor mats, which they were able to order for us.
We have recommended them to all of our friends looking for cars, and we have three friends who have bought a Volvo from them. They were awesome.
