Very disappointing. My tuna sandwich was extremely salty and the bread was soggy. I could not eat it.

The best sandwich shop ever? Yep. Mouthwatering sandwiches with fresh & quality ingredients on equally delicious bread. My favorites are the No. 1(BBQ pulled pork with coleslaw) & No. 5(turkey with kale & tomato jam). I was apprehensive the first time I came here because I’m a picky eater & there wasn’t a build-your-own sandwich option. Silly me. The No. 5, with all its ingredients, blew me away! It’s on the expensive side to eat often($ 9 – 10 per sandwich) & only open after 5, but so delicious I regularly mourn the fact I’ve moved out of the delivery area. Devil’s Dill will remain a treat I pick up after a drink at the adjoining bar, No Fun.

I’ve been here a few times and have only gotten the turkey and kale. Pretty good! Even good the next day. Late hours, no seating. Even though there’s no real service set up here, just about every person that’s ever taken my order here has made an effort to be friendly. I appreciate that.

How are these sandwiches so good??? Get the number 5! Or the number 2! Any number! They’re open from five pm to three am but count on two hours between the time you order and the time your sandwich is delivered. No matter, because your sandwich will be so amazing once it’s in your hands that you’ll forget about time and space.

I love Devil’s Dill. A friend turned me onto them when I first moved up here and to be completely honest I’m really not even into sandwiches. HOWEVER, Devil’s Dill does it right! I typically go for the #5 and have never been disappointed. Some people get peeved about the delivery times but I think it’s totally worth it.

I would rate this place a 3.5 The main draw for this place are the hours: they are open late. I thought the prices were a bit high for the sandwiches so I only ordered a side of their german potato salad which was satisfactory. Good staple if you live in the area.

small sandwich shop offering up tasty sandwiches at about $ 10 a pop. are they worth it? kind of heard to assess. i’ve only tried one– the turkey + kale. it’s really damn good so i hesitate to try anything else. if you like your sandwiches and got a few extra bucks to pay for one than come here and get one. i can only recommend the turkey + kale due to stated reasons.

Gonna have to give this a 1 star review. We’ve gone in for carryout a couple times and been fine with this place. We decided to order a couple sammiches for delivery, were quoted half an hour to get them to our place Sounds fantastic. 1 hour later, we still had no sammiches. Called up and asked what’s up, the said they were minutes away from delivery. Sounds great! Another hour later, called up to cancel. No apology. No explanation. Frankly, we’ve had the sandwiches before and they aren’t even that good, it’s just that they deliver. But if they don’t actually deliver, whats the point? I’ll pass in the future.

Had the BLT. How could I write a 5-star review off a BLT, you ask? You haven’t had their BLT. Thick cut bacon, tomatoes jam that is intense, and dressed kale that stands up to the rest of the sandwich in a way wimpy lettuce never could. This is now my ideal for a great BLT.

I’m biased because the owner and creator is one of my best friends. But that doesn’t matter because I’d tell him if his food was gross. It is not. I will never not eat here when given the opportunity. I would visit town just for the flavor combinations happening here. Tomato jam, yes please. The staff is cheerful and creative.

One of the best sandwich shops I’ve ever been to — these dudes get it. Would be nice if there was a pasture-raised/grass-fed option for your animal products… something to consider?

2 numbers sevens, at all times. Sometimes they’re a little heavy handed with the sauce, but oh yeah. Dats a good sammich.

The first thought is «Great, another $ 9 artisanal sandwich shoppe with typical bougie gimmicks like every-flavored aioli and sauteed kale, gag me with a SPOON.» When the overwhelming cynicism and prejudice eventually fades, you find food well worth the seemingly spendy prices. The turkey with tomato jam is something else. The texture and layering of the ingredients is out of this world. Their vegan seitan option is actually edible! Verifiably delicious all around. Portion sizes are filling without being overbearing. Open late for those on the vampire schedule. Service was incredible; servers were well-natured and happy to provide appropriate recommendations. Can’t wait to come back soon.

Wow! If you haven’t been, you need to try it. Who heard of kale in a sandwich??? I was a bit skeptical at first, but the turkey sandwich is amazing! Home roasted turkey, herbed aoili and? tomato jam? if I remember correctly. The red wine braised beef sandwich was quite excellent too. It is warmed and the cheese is melted. I still give an edge to the turkey though. Best of all, it’s open late. Til 3am!

Late night sandwich shop on Hawthorne. I called in to pick up a sandwich on my way to the airport. They had it ready to go when i reached. Good prompt service. The sandwich(#1) was good, nothing out of the world but good as far as sandwiches go, and a bit messy to eat. Good place for a late night snack.

This is the sandwich shop that I tell everyone who care about food to try. I’ve had their pulled pork(#1), their meatloaf(#8), and their take on a turkey sandwich(#5). The #5…whew…stole my heart. It’s amazing. There is something about it that resonates with me and I can’t get enough of it. The set of ingredients in the sandwich just work together in harmony. Their bread is unique and works well with their sandwiches — They deliver(east side) and reasonably priced — Great late night grub spot that’s open till 3am! — The owners opened a bar next door called«No Fun» so now you can sit down at a table and enjoy your masterpiece and an affordable drink.

Heads up, I had the best sandwich of my life here. Granted I am only 25, so there are many more sandwhich adventures I have yet to experience, none the less, Devil’s Dill is my standard. I had the No. 5, it was perfect. Crunchy toasty bread with tangy sauce and lots of meat! My husband had the special, something with smoked pork loin, goat cheese, and beets; flavor explosion. Beware, they have no tables and open at 5pm, which was a let down when I was craving a sammy and drove across town for the place to be closed. I had to eat at hot lips instead. Not cool.

I cant believe it took me so long to come here… Simple, but delicious sandwiches, open late, and now with a new bar space! I had the No. 2, which is a bacon, avocado, kale sandwich with a tomato jam and aioli of some kind… This sandwich was amazing! I didn’t think I was very hungry but I demolished the thing in about 8 minutes. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her meal as well, and there will definitely be future visits from the both of us. Nice work Devil’s Dill!

No 8(meatloaf sandwich), German potato salad, and sautéed kale is what I ordered. Not very satisfied. It was alright but didn’t hit that spot. The sandwich had a very tangy zesty taste with a notable garlic kick. Didn’t hit the tongue right. Potato salad was lightly mixed with vinegar but was powered with olive oil. However the kale was nice. Sautéed with just enough of garlic and salt. The most disappointing thing was price. Just about $ 9 a sandwich. Not very cheap. The employees were very nice. Very friendly and polite. With that said you can tell they are new or just starting. In the nicest way, they are unaware. Atmosphere was cool. Nice place to hang out or go to after a long day. They have board games although only 3. Connect 4, trivial pursuit and mind trap. Not really a spot I would put on the list for a crazy night or date night. #cheapeats2015

This place is awesome if your looking for a late night snack, they do not have seating to eat in but grab your food and go home and relax. The staff is very friendly and gladly answer any questions you may have. Very small menu but every sandwich sounds amazing, it’s hard to make a decision. I went with the 5 spice pulled bbq pork sandwich, it was probably one of the best things I have ever ate. It has this amazing Asian slaw on it with the chili garlic bbq sauce. Talk about sending your taste buds into a frenzy. The roll is this perfect bread for soaking up all the juice perfect crust on it. German potato salad is really good, seasoned perfect, probably one of the best. Pickles are also really good. They do deliver but have a limited area.
