Dena Dooney, DDI founder, has more than 22 years experience in the health insurance and benefits industry working in HR, corporate health insurance sales and service and as a Consultant. Dena D.

Business Owner

With more than 23 years’ experience, Dena has experienced the health insurance and benefits industry from all angles. She has worked in the human resources department of large hospitals and spent more than 8 years working for a major health insurance company in roles ranging from claims to customer service to sales account executive.

Dena became an Employee Benefits Consultant 12 years ago, building her portfolio to serve dozens of small and large businesses headquartered in Oregon and Southwest Washington.

In 2009, Dena decided, to best pursue her vision of client service, that she would form DDI Benefits.

Dena is active in the industry, serving on the Broker Advisory Committees of several health plans. She has been a guest speaker at Portland State University, a guest columnist for Portland Business Journal, and is a member of the Health Underwriters Association.
