Courtesy Ford

Got a 2012 Explorer here. Had the transmission replaced, Ford paid, dealer handled it well. Most recent repair was to replace the radio that died and a emissions valve; had to leave the car there for one day to diagnose and order parts for repair on following day. Here to pick up vehicle and told after payment that it would «be a while» before they could pull my car around so I could get it back. Half an hour wait and lots of guys standing around to sell me a new car before someone came to me in the Lounge to tell me my car was ready.

I brought my car in and Edward was not personable. I had an appointment at 1 pm and dropped my car off. Edward said he would call later that afternoon. I had to call him at 5:10pm to be told they were looking at it. Mind you this is four hours later and he said they had to keep it overnight to finish looking at it. He would call at 10 am. So no car and 10am I get no call. I called at 11 AM and a guy answered and told me no notes in the system. The guy says he’ll run down and check on it. Edward finally picks up after the other guy puts me hold to check on it. Edward says he will check with the technicians and call me back… still waiting and it’s noon. Obviously in this amount of time I could replace the front end by myself with my minimal automotive skills and they’re just looking at it.

If I could give zero I would. Geoff Montani is hands down one of the most condescending person I have ever met. Very rude to my girlfriend by treating her like she was brainless, the sales management team is an absolute joke. They tried to tell me the only truck in my budget was a 2 wheel drive rig when I specifically asked for four, looked on the website found a year newer 20,000 less miles for a thousand less than the asking price of the 2 wheel drive.
I wouldn’t wish the staff here on isis.

We had a really great experience with the folks at Courtesy Ford, especially our salesman, Mike. We traded in a lease early and Mike worked really hard to make sure we got top value for the trade in so that the negative equity didn’t kill us when choosing our cars. Mike was patient, listened to what we wanted and our budget. He worked tirelessly with the finance department to get us as close to our desired payment as possible. The finance process was long but everyone was friendly and stayed until close to 11PM to make sure we were well taken care of. I would definitely return for vehicle purchases in the future. This is a great team!

My wife’s car needed service and my wife and I both had places to go yesterday afternoon. Robby in the service department is my go to guy and hooked me up once again. I was able to drop off my wife’s car, get a ride home in time to go to work and then come back on my lunch break to get the car. Needless to say I didn’t miss a single appointment with any of my clients and my wife was able to make it to her afternoon doctor’s appointment. Thank you Robby once again for getting me taken care of.

Dan Mason and Mark Delaney were outstanding in helping me lease my new car at Courtesy. And it wasn’t easy — it took some searching to find the exact car I wanted.
I’d shopped at Damerow in Beaverton and was so turned off by the standard used car lot approach to a new car purchase that I refused to go back. (It was really, really bad.) I am very pleased to have shopped at Courtesy and to have had both these guys help.

We cannot say enough how great everyone at Courtesy Ford are. My wife and I worked a deal with Curtis via phone and email. Curtis was due for vacation, so he asked we look up Clyde when we got to town.
The truck was ready to roll, we hopped in for a test drive. Coming back we realized that our car window was down, our worst fears were realized. One of our dogs had somehow rolled down a window and had fled.
The entire sales crew and finance mgr all hopped in cars and we all went separate directions looking. Salesmen were calling the shelters, asking local businesses for help.
Over 2 hrs everyone returned empty handed. We were just lost. The owners came in and said we could just forgo the deal. Just then Mark checked craigslist and someone had found him!
We rushed and picked him up, went back and signed paperwork. The buying part was so easy, and uncomplicated.
We can’t thank everyone enough, Curtis, Clyde, Mark, Rhomulas. Sorry the salesman who was calling the shelters, wee didn’t get you name.
We are now buyers for life.

Courtesy Ford Body Shop is one of the best around.
My truck was rear-​ended in July and the claim was finally settled and I was approved to take my truck to Courtesy Ford Body Shop for my repairs. The original estimator for the body shop was no longer with the company when we were approved to take my truck in to get it repaired, but with my schedule it was hard to coordinate with the rental truck company to get a truck. All the while Chris, body shop manager, checked in with me and even called the insurance company and rental company to try an coordinate the process.
Once the truck was in body Chris really was great letting me know it would only be 5 days in the shop and his word was spot on. When I picked up my truck they had detailed the inside of truck and really made me feel appreciated.
I am a hard cookie to keep happy but Chris and Jill really did a great job on the repairs and I would say if you have a Ford or really any model you should and get a quote from them.

Been using Brian Sterrett as my service manager for 20 years. He’s knowledgeable, honest, and communicates well. As a woman, it’s easy to feel taken advantage of because we don’t know what we need vs what we’re told we need. I have never felt I paid for something that was not needed. Brian is a class act and I will continue to buy Fords because of the care and respect I receive from Brian and Courtesy Ford. Thank you Brian!

Was in communication for a specific car, and not only did we drive over an hour to see said car… but the sale man who said he’s be there took the day off and no one let us know that the car was sold. Horrible communication, and very pushy to buy.

You know how Hollywood sometimes portrays car dealers as slick and how they play games! Well Courtesy Ford is a master at it. They will get you in with fake promises and then the story will change to try to sell you something else. Do not go there, and if you do, be prepared to stand your ground and walk out of necessary.

Just arrived home from purchasing a 2012 Lincoln MKX. Jason Arthur is the Sales & Leasing Consultant we worked with. He was personable and professional. He was knowledgeable about the product. We took a test drive and were pleased. During the price negotiation which felt more like a conversation/​discussion, we purchased the vehicle. Normally I am not a fan of car dealerships but I must say that Jason was not the stereotypical «salesman». Although Jason is fairly new to Courtesy Ford, he was not intimidated to ask assistance from a more experienced co-​worker. The two of them worked well together, showing mutual respect, Thank you Jeff for assisting Jason with his needs, explaining details to my husband I and then showing Jason professional courtesy to then step aside. It was nice to see the more seasoned staff working side by side with one not so seasoned in a respectful manner.
Then the hand-​off to the financial guy… Romulus, Business Manger greeted us with a smile. He was also very knowledgeable and professional. He new we were in a rush to get home to our pet who had been alone all day. He walked us thru the process and we were out the door. Very good experience and I don’t feel like I got fleeced in the processed.
My husband and I are very pleased with Courtesy Ford and plan on using them for maintenance of our vehicle. I certainly hope their maintenance department is operated as well as the folks we dealt with today on the sales floor.

I’m updating and downgrading my rating a little. We have had several more service & warranty visits to this dealership. They really are just kind of not really interested in customers after the sale. Nothing really bad — but nothing really good either. They do a really poor job of setting expectations over the phone and many times have performed kind of an appointment «bait and switch» which has caused us a ton of hassle. It’s just a pain to deal with them again and again and again.

Zero stars.
I had been working with an Internet salesman for a few days on a trade and a purchase of a Ford Fusion. I had some questions so I stopped by today to see what they could work out for my trade and what the options were for a car I could afford. I went in with my 19 month old son, and while the internet salesman wasn’t available– I was given another salesman to work with. Everyone was super nice until we got to the point where we were talking numbers– the second salesman was taking a long time and all of a sudden he comes walking in with two huge red bulls from the gas station on the corner and a huge wad of chew in his lip. He drank his red bull and spit in a mug on his desk while we talked. He came over with some numbers and after I said I had questions he left– I heard them call the Internet salesmans name on the intercom and when he got to the desk he asked what’s up and the second salesman said ‘oh you know– another day in paradise’. So then the Internet salesman comes back over– half ass answers my questions and asked if I was prepared to buy today! I was like I don’t think so– and asked if I could maybe see what they had for used cars or in a Ford Focus– which might be more budget friendly– and he sat back in his chair and said ‘I don’t have time for that. Thanks for coming in, have a good day.’ I was appalled. I left and was near tears the whole way home… Buying a new car is supposed to be an exciting experience! These stupid salesmen shouldn’t be making their customers cry!
I did call and speak to the general sales manager– he was very polite– and said he was appalled by his employees behavior. He offered that if we came back we could work with him directly– but I doubt that my husband will be willing to do any business with courtesy ford any time soon after the way they treated his wife.

I’m having a hard time finding my words while I write this.
The 2 times I’ve been in to test drive a new vehicle, I’ve left feeling dirty (physically and mentally). I can literally still smell the salesman’s cologne on me and we never even shook hands! The other salesman I dealt with before this most recent experience came on to me while I was test driving the vehicle and put his personal phone number on his business card so I could call him if I «get bored.» Yeah right. How unprofessional!
This most recent experience was a classic case of hearing vs. listening (yes, there’s a difference). I brought in a list of things I wanted in my new vehicle that I had researched on their website and the salesman made fun of me for it several times throughout the experience. When all was said and done, the guy never actually listened to what I had told him I wanted, making me repeat everything 3 or 4 times and showed me 2 vehicles that did not match the description of what I wanted. At one point he told me «we can make anything your heart desires happen»…until when I asked for what I wanted and he told me that wasn’t a possibility. When I called him out on his lie, he tried to retract and looked me in the eye and told me he never said that. EW!!! There’s 2 lies right there! One of which was a lie to cover up the other!
When we finally sat down to get an estimate of the vehicle, it dawned on me that this guy knew absolutely nothing about this vehicle. In fact, I think I actually know more about the vehicle after having sat down on my computer and navigating the website for 20 – 30 minutes. COME ON!
Do not make a customer feel stupid, bullied, or gross; especially if I’m looking to drop some serious cash on a vehicle. I will NOT be returning to this Ford dealership. I’m hoping to have more luck in Beaverton. Get it together, y’all.

Here is a copy of the email I sent to the Service Manager:
This is the second or third survey I’ve been asked to complete about my recent service visit and, despite asking for a phone call from your department and leaving my number, I still haven’t heard from anyone. You all are gung-​ho to sell me a car and GET a customer, but not so gung-​ho to KEEP a customer.
I made an appointment to come in on Saturday, Nov. 22. It was time for my initial oil change on my three-​month old 2014 Ford C-​Max and address a recent recall notice I’d received (re: airbags). My husband and I brought the car in. Your advisors were not particularly friendly, did not greet us when we walked into the service department (we had to say, «Ummm… hello? Are we in the right place?») and 2 of the 3 employees we encountered in that brief period were all texting on their phones. No big deal, though. Whatever.
After the service, we came back to pick up the car. It wasn’t vacuumed, which I considered to be a given. Nor was it washed. Again, whatever. I wasn’t going to complain about that. It’s not stellar service, but maybe stellar service is too high a standard these days.
The issue was later that day when I noticed the digital clock in the dash was still reading 12:13. I tried re-​setting it (I know how to reset the clock) and it wasn’t allowing me to. The next morning, it read 12:15. Obviously, something was amiss so I made ANOTHER appointment to bring it in on the 25^th (taking time from work to do so). Brought it in, received the same lackluster welcome, the same texting staff.
After 40 minutes or so, the tech was done. I went back inside to get me keys and, when I asked what the issue had been (the advisor didn’t offer and just handed me the key), I was told that it needed a battery reset from the previous visit. And «it happens a lot.» No apology, no regret that YOUR error had caused ME to lose time from work. No vacuum. No washed car. No nothing.
I hope you can understand why this is so aggravating. I don’t expect anything from you all at this point (although an apology would be nice), but I want to you to know this life-​long Ford customer will not be buying from Courtesy Ford again and I’ll spread the word among my car-​buying friends, relatives and co-​workers.

We have a Ford Windstar van and have been bringing it here for years for repairs and maintenance. Unfortunately, it’s never been a very good experience. Many times they promise to have our car done by a certain time, and surprise, it’s never done on time.
Sorry to name names, but Brian S. in the service department usually gives us attitude, and not a good one either. We just had our car in there for a week and they replaced our windshield wipers. It rained 2 days later and they put the wipers in wrong, because the driver side wiper doesn’t even touch the glass! This was dangerous because it was raining hard and we couldn’t even see.
We took the car immediately back to get it fixed and I went inside to talk to Brian. He started giving me an attitude immediately, telling me that no one can fix it for 45 mins because everyone’s at lunch. I asked for a manager, and apparently he isn’t here on weekends. Ridiculous, we saw guys in the garage working on cars. It would have taken like 1 minute to fix. Jiffy Lube can do it faster than that.
So unfortunately we had to sit and wait for 45 mins because it was too rainy to drive around with a poorly installed wiper. I do not recommend this service department at all.
