Rite in the Rain paper and Dura Rite

These papers are water proof.

Rite in the Rain is for outdoor purposes in the rain, in the field, on the dock.

Dura Rite is for marine and under water purposes.

They works well with most pens and pencils, but we recommend a Rite in the Rain Pen. The work under water upside down.

This place is pretty ridiculous. I have tried (and used) them several times over the last few years since they are close to home. Unfortunately, the staff is always grumpy and only moderately helpful. Basic b/​w copies are mediocre quality. The biggest issue though is the pricing. I know they are a small shop and am happy to pay a bit more for convenience but more than one quote I asked for has been up to 4 x that of Fedex Office. I recently took a usb drive to have a file printed and was told the drive was formatted for a Mac so they couldn’t read it (when Fedex Office read it from a PC– I double checked!) In 2015, near a sizable University, I simply can’t believe this place can stay in business without being to read a standard USB drive to print a PDF. I’ve once again wasted my time and won’t be back.

The people were friendly enough, unfortunately their printers don’t do a nice job. The first thing I had printed came out looking grainy and off colored. I went home and adjusted some things on photo shop to try and account for whatever their printers were doing, but the photo still came out grainy, I was able to correct for the color a bit. Mind you the image was at 300 DPi and was taken at hi res with my 5d mark II so this wasn’t a cell phone picture I was trying to print. Second thing they don’t even have photo paper… the best thing they had to print on was card stock. That kind of just blew my mind. I have photo paper and I don’t charge people to print their stuff for a living.
While I was there some guy was getting a giant poster, like 4 foot by 4 foot printed and they were trying to put the two halves together but they were off kilter. It was pretty obvious he was irritated. I’ve printed A LOT of stuff at a lot of different print shops in my life and this was pretty sub par.

I had to stop in and get just six copies made. I had no change in my pocket to pay the 54 cents for the copies, so got my debit card. I always feel a little bit silly using my debit card for such small amounts, but they were more than kind and threw 54 cents from the spare change jar into the till and called it good. I was really touched by the gesture and reemphasized how much I like the staff and like using this shop.

So I didn’t actually ship anything from here, but I can say that this place has great customer service. I was going to ship some items to Hawaii and didn’t have a box or tape or bubble wrap. I brought the items I wanted to ship and they wrapped everything up really well and measured my items to find the best size, then taped together a box and packed it all up, entered my info and told me my various pricing choices (including just buying the box and taking it to USPS myself, which was cheaper than it would be for them to USPS it for me). However, upon hearing the crazy price of shipping, I said I’d probably just pack it in my suitcase and pay for a checked bag instead. They were so friendly and said it was totally fine and unpacked everything for me and didn’t even charge me for the box. I apologized profusely but they just smiled and wished me safe travels. Such great service I highly recommend them!

I love this place. I just started selling things on eBay and I will never go anywhere else to pack and ship my packages. They have great prices and they helped me through the whole shipping process! I don’t have a printer at home so it’s so easy for me to go there and have things printed, get help packing and labeling, and ship them off. I have done three packages this week and it’s costed less than $ 1 to send (not including the price of labels that I get threw eBay). I will never have to wait at the post office again! Highly recommend for all your shipping needs!

The only things I did here were make some copies and print some digital documents, but the process was easy and the prices were extremely affordable. A super sweet lady rang me up as well. A thousand times better than staples and kinkos.

I’ve used this place for shipping, making copies and using their computer, and each time, I’ve never had a problem. Staff is courteous and friendly and it’s usually not that busy.
They do charge a little more to ship than the post office, but I’d rather mail something here than deal with the people at the post office.
If you live in North Portland or St. Johns, give this place a try.

Ugh. I HATE this place. Had to make a bunch of copies of legal documents. Lots of sorting papers, etc. When I was done, the owner tried to charge me for 500 copies, because I hadn’t counted them. What kind of low-​rent copy shop doesn’t have a page counter?
After he left, an employee told me how much it sucked to work there, and that the owner referred to Sam Adams as «Our Gayor». Classy. I’d rather go to Kinkos.

After a frustrating experience where a Kinko’s worker made fun of me after I asked for help with a Zine I was copying, I tried my luck at the little shop in my hood. I was afraid to ask for help after being humiliated at the other place, but the guy working there happily jumped in there and helped me copy each page. He made small talk with me and totally turned a blind eye to all the expletives and offensive drawings on my pages. In the end, the copies were a few cents more than Kinko’s which I happily paid for the helping hand. Totally worth it.

Forget about learning how to do all that new-​fangled stuff ;like learning how to copy, collate, make a business card, fax things, make posters, write ads, do internet searches, find the FedEx place on Swan Island, etc. Let the family at Copy Pilot do it! They have cute t-​shirts too! Awesome services I could never dream of doing, or having the time and patience to learn!

This is a fabulous family owned business that is just downright friendly. In fact they were so friendly and helpful that I found myself there two days in a row. Forget your local Fed Ex/​Kinkos commercial experience and keep it local. Their prices cannot be beat.
