Another tattoo artist in town had taken advantage of me, and in the end I was left with this ¾ sleeve of apple blossoms that were only about half done on my arm. Panicked, I didn’t know what to do so I started emailing every tattoo artist in town to ask them what my options were. Many had said because of what this other tattoo artist had done(the way in which he had tattooed me/the quantity of unnecessary gray he had packed into my skin), it would be really difficult for them to repair it. Enter Chris Dingwell. Tattoo artist Phuc Tran from Tsunami Tattoo’s told me that if ANYONE in the world could fix it, it would be Chris, but that he would be straight-up honest with me about how bad it really was. That was one of those moments when the universe is doing something huge, but you’re unaware of it! Chris and I met, he DID fix my tattoo(and I’ve gotten others from him since), and we’ve become friends. His vibe is far different from other tattoo artists in the area, because of how much of himself he personally and professionally invests in every single person that he meets. While you’re in his studio — a bright, airy gallery in the State Theater building — you are the ONLY thing he’s concerned about. To have that sort of attention to detail on a person-to-person level is so rare in business these days, that it’s refreshing. He makes his clients feel comfortable, safe, and important… you can tell that genuinely cares about the artistry of his craft.
