Simply the best authentic Palestinian falafel. Hummus is excellent. By far the best falafel in Portland. Baba ganouge was also very good.

The absolute best falafel I’ve had anywhere in the world. Moist, delicious and crunchy on the outside and never greasy. It also comes with the best condiments ever. The baba ghanouj is to live for as well as the hummus and the potatoes are a great side, too. Family owned by a wonderful couple who put the love into their food. Definitely worth the trip when you’re in the Portland area!

The food is delicious. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is that the woman working the counter was rude. I was there for an hour and she yelled at the man working with her the ENTIRETIME. It was super unpleasant. I recommend that you get your food to go, or eat in the back of the place so you can minimize the sound of her voice.

Unbelievably good. I appreciate that they are only open at specific times. It’s refreshing. The food is incredible. The gyro plate is filling and the HOTSAUCE is amazing!

Cedo’s is where it’s at for gyros and falafel in Portland. Since my favorite place is in Beaverton, I was searching for something closer to home. Cedo’s was the first to pull up in my Portland search and so it began… Our first trip started with a pretty big meal since 1) we were hungry &2) every thing sounded good. We ordered a cup of lentil soup, a side of tabouleh, grape leaves, gyro sandwich and Cedo’s plate with falafel. The gyro sandwich was big & tasty, plus the hot sauce added a nice little kick. The meat is quite flavorful. Watch out for those onions(grilled) because they do creep up on you. It’s a pretty good size as I can barely finish this gyro sandwich every time I order it. Definitely my favorite. My other half always orders the Cedo Plate to get the falafel and hummus. The falafel is probably one of the best I have tasted. Most tend to be dry and bleh but this one is crunchy on the outside and moist inside. Definitely has more of an acidic taste(lemon) which awakens the taste buds. The hummus is nice & creamy and also has a lemon kick to it. The side of tabouleh was surprising a lot of tabouleh to eat. I was expecting a very small ramekin of tabouleh instead we were giving a bowl. This too was powered by the Great Lemon. The grape leaves were just eh and the lentil soup was really peppery. So since our initial visit, we have made several returns and we seem to stick to the gyro sandwich and Cedo’s Plate. The owners are the only ones I have seen working and are friendly. Parking can be limited but you can always find a spot on the side streets. Over 1 million gyros sold here, have you gotten yours yet?

Great felafel. Especially liked the ‘J’(Jerusalem) style which adds tabouleh. Local micros on tap too. WIll be back.

Very, very good lunch. I had the falafel plate. I’m not an expert on falafel, but this falafel was superb. It wasn’t super dense but instead, very light and a little crumbly. It was well-seasoned, and I didn’t feel like I was eating a spiced golf ball. Well done! The baba ganoush was solid, and the ful madamas was ok, but not the best I’ve had. Hot pepper sauce was a lovely accompaniment. I tried a bite of the gyro meat my husband ordered, and it was really delicious. We’ll definitely be back. This was easily some of the best falafel I’ve had in Portland, and it’s reasonably priced as well.

Hands down the best Greek food available in Portland. This local joint is fast, friendly and will treat you like family. I can’t say enough about the gyro, hummus and falafel. They also include their own house red pepper spicy sauce which I would buy an entire vat of given the opportunity.

Ordered the J Style Falafel Sandwich. Ate it. Was sad I didn’t order a second one. This is one of those places I actually dont wanna leave a review for. Because I don’t want other people to know about it. I want it all. To my selfish self.

This is the place I love to hate or hate to love. For gyros and salads they do take a long time. They run low on hummus after only a couple hours. They are closed on odd days. Parking is difficult. It gets busy and there aren’t many places to sit. Like most Portland places they seem to get a little huffy if you don’t leave a tip for counter service and they never remember to leave the tomatoes off. If only their food weren’t so damned good. It always tastes fresh. Its full of flavor. They have amazing hot sauce(which i’ve never had on Med food) but fits in just fine. So I’d never go here again if the food weren’t so good.

Excellent gyros and falafels. Very nicely priced. It seemed like many inside were regulars, which is understandable once you see how nice the owners are. I will definitely be back. This will be my sleeper«hidden gem» for friends wanting to go out affordably. Thank you for your food. I felt I got a really good meal from some really genuine people.

I LOVETHISPLACE! I’m not even a huge fan of falafels, they’re ok but Cedo’s are DELICIOUS! Their food is so good, really, try the falafel. And they have fresh brewed iced tea daily. It’s order-at-the counter style and the seating is limited. Some seating outside if the weather is ok.

Delicious falafel. I had it Jewish style. The flavors are still dancing in my mouth an hour after eating! This family owned business gives this Portland neighborhood a good dose of character. Wonderful, friendly service and a nice ambiance for a modest place.

Horrible food poisoning here! I was puking all night after eating some humums that tasted«off.» Called the next day, the manager picked up and started to swear at me after I told him his food made me sick! He accused me of faking it! I have called the multnomah county health department to investigate. This place needs to be shut down ASAP before they hurt more people.

Unfortuanately after trying to make things write I feel obligated to write a review, I ordered lunch for all my team mates today at 3:00PM, lunch was picked up everyone enjoyed their meal, except the employee who ate the hummus, he then asks me and another employee to try it, it was the most awful thing We have ever eaten, due to being a busy day at work We were unable to call and ask them what happened, 3 hours later we close so I decided to stop by with the hummus to see what went wrong, I explain the situation to the owner who proceeds to give everyone free hummus and says if anyone says it is bad he will give me 1,000 dollars, I never wanted it to get to that level, all I wanted was fresh hummus or something else in exchange, he proceeds to take $ 6 out of his register and try to give it to me and tell me he can no longer service me, that he has the best hummus in portland. Unfortunately if it is or is not true I can not say, but what we had almost made us vomit. Safe to say We will no longer be going there and I feel sorry for anyone else who is ever treated this way by the owner of this establishment. I have been around middle easterns and lebanese people enough to know what good food is, and this place definitely does not deserve to be where it is with someone who acts like that.

The falafel sandwich was good but the gyros sandwich was incredible. I would eat that all the time. Those house potatoes were great too. FYI the portions are ENORMOUS. So get ready to eat.

Hands down the best Gyro I have had in Portland! Succulent, savory, fresh and extremely filling. I ate nonstop through my enormous Gyro only pausing to drizzle more of their exquisite house made hot sauce down into the juicy crevices of the amazing sandwich. Service was gracious, helpful and speedy, we had no issues with the hours of operation.

Never in my life have I ever had the portion of Gyro that I just ate. Best. Ever. There’s not much more to say about it the sandwich… it was truly phenomenal for the price. The taste was spot on, and the accompanying potatoes were liberally seasoned, and made the best partner to a side of house-made tzatziki sauce. I fully appreciate the owners’ choice to close by 8pm… to me it signifies that, yes its a business, but not life. I will be back. A lot.

THEFOODISAMAZING… but they are so rarely open and are constantly adjusting their open hours. About 90% of the time that I try to go, they’re closed. It’s pretty crushing. I’ve started going to Blue Olive on Alberta because Blue Olive is consistently open with normal hours and their food is good. This way I don’t have to deal with getting my hopes up.

I was eating my gyro, thinking about all the nice things I could say about it. I was contemplating a Unilocal review, I thought about how the service/employees were a little unorganized. But the sandwich was good. But then I found that(see photo). Haste makes waste!!!

The hours listed by Unilocal are incorrect despite submitting changes. The actual hours are Tues-Fri 11:30a-8p, and often they are not open during those times either as it is a very small business. When a crew member is sick, that’s it. Of the 10 times I’ve tried to go, they have only been opened the advertised hours 4 of those times. If you DO manage to catch them when they’re open, it’s delicious, fresh, and delightful, but you really should call ahead before you make the trip. The baba ganoush was served slightly warm and smokey with cold, fresh pomegranate seeds on top, my new favorite way to eat baba. The gyro salad ingredients rotate with what is fresh and crunchy, and the portion is huge for $ 9. The spicy garlic chilli sauce they serve with it is addictive. I’d buy the sauce to take home and smear on everything. Service isn’t the quickest, but they’re friendly, and everything is being made from scratch. So, if you catch them when they’re there, and have the time to wait, you WILL be rewarded.

Couldn’t believe our luck to have been on that block. Could smell the aroma on the sidewalk and couldn’t resist. Service is on the slower side. If there’s a line, you’re gonna have to wait. But, wait for it. Appears that everything is freshly made. The falafel is fantastic — tasty, fresh, not a bit greasy, great chrunch. Baba ganoush = has a wonderful smokey flavor Tzatziki = refreshing What they call their«potatoes» are actually their style of french fries. #delish!
