I’ve used Capitol Upholstery before and have always found them to be professional and helpful. Roy has come to my house to pick up my (heavy) furniture, repair it in a very short time. In fact, he just repaired a Flexsteel couch. Roy repaired my couch in less than one day! because he knew I needed it. The quality of his work is very good — I’m not sure what happened with the other reviewers. I’d recommend this business.

I was recommended by a family friend to Capitol Upholstery, I had my grandmothers 1940 wood antique chair that is so near an dear to my heart! I was so worried about getting it refinished an recovered but it turned out AMAZINGLY! better than I could have imagined! I used to keep it in the spare room because it was so old and gross looking but Roy did an awesome job I have it in my living room an it brightens up the whole room! I’m very happy with the out come! I couldn’t have asked for a better job done! I’m all for small business’s! I will be returning! I recommend!

Absolutely the worst experience/​job quality/​everything. One week after he had his teenaged daughter pick it up from our house in a truck with her friends (!), he just forgot to call… never showed up with the piece so we sat around an entire Saturday calling and waiting. TWO weeks later, he finally delivered it back (wet from rain… nice).
The piece was never fixed… he made it worse. It looks and feels awful — and I mean visibly BAD. He messed up materials (had to order the correct stuff), he broke studs/​tacks off (he later replaced them crookedly… and some of them already fell off), I can’t think of a good thing to say.
I like supporting small local businesses. But my experience with Capitol was SO, so negative, so bad, so comically crazy it was like a joke. Seriously. I felt like I was on hidden camera.
