History

Established in 1985.

The Bucket Brigade opened it’s doors in 1985 and catered to Firemen and the Neighborhood Folk. Back in those days, you could pick out and grill your own steaks. Beer was poured out of make shift fire hydrants. I wish I had some pictures!

In 1996, a major renovation added a huge kitchen, a beautiful patio and a fresh face to the Bucket Brigade.

Today, the Bucket Brigade still caters to the neighborhood, but regulars from all over come to eat, drink, watch sports and UFC fights, visit with friends, see their favorite bartenders, servers and cooks and to play Keno or video poker. We are a friendly, clean restaurant with outstanding food. We always have our top selling microbrews on tap (Widmer Hefeweizen, Widmere Drop Top, Mirror Pond, Black Butte Porter, Terminal Gravity, etc) as well as the top selling domestics (Coors Lt, Bud, Bud Lt and PBR), but we also have some tap handles dedicated toward seasonal brews.

I’m out of room. Come and see for yourself!

Meet the Business Owner

Debbie M.

Business Owner

I have an unusual history to end up owning a restaurant /bar.

I passed the Oregon State Bar in 1992 and never practiced law. I had three children in rapid succession and was a stay at home mom for 13 years except for a serving position for 2 of those years.

I purchased the Bucket in 2002. I didn’t know much about running it at all, but learned quickly after my divorce.

I was scared to death, but with the help of some very dedicated and trustworthy empoyees (and working every single day during the first year), I managed to figure everything out.

I hope you try my restaurant. And, please say «Hello» to me!
