Bon-Ton

I seem to buy specific things at specific stores. I love Bön-​Ton for bedding. I am an avid coupon shopper and you can get coupons on the website. All of my blankets are from BonTon and I also bought a beach blanket that is both waterproof and washable. I love it! When I need new sheets I’ll be back.

I am extremely disappointed in the lack of customer service my father received in the shoe department. After being blatantly ignored by three employees standing around chatting, he asked if he could be helped. After rolling her eyes, the woman reluctantly delivered his shoes in his size and walked away.

I was in Maine earlier this week and found myself wandering the Maine Mall on my first night since It was close to my hotel and it was way too early to stay in. The whole mall is awesome, but I wandered into Bonton and I absolutely loved it. I started at the Clinique counter since I love their products and the woman there was fantastic. she went above and beyond to help me and they were also having their friend and family sale, so I was able to get additional discounts and Clinique stuff is never on sale. except here. I’ll drive the 3 hours to this store anytime!
After getting some great deals at the Clinique counter, I wandered around the rest of the store, great shoe selection and so many clothes and purses to choose from. I loved the jewelry selection and imagine my surprise when I saw an escalator. my new favorite store had a second floor. I’m surprised I didn’t trip over my own feet to get upstairs to see what was there! I found wonderful deals in the housewares section, great Christmas stuff and tons of dishes and bakeware. lots of brand names. Did some Christmas shopping in the mens department after getting some great deals in housewares,
Customer service was excellent in every department. the store was clean, well organized and so well stocked. I want to live in their bedding department, but I think they’d kick me out after awhile! Awesome store, if you’re in the area. make sure you check it out!

The store is very clean and well-​appointed with a decent but not large selection of both trendy and conservative clothing and shoes. I love that they play vintage jazz and Sinatra style music every time I’m in there!

Walked in looking for a specific type of shoe, a Maine shoe, a boat shoe. Not brand specific, but just a boat shoe. Sebago, Sperry, etc, brands are several. I saw a pair sitting by their lonesome and inquired, unfortunately, not the right size. I asked if they had any other sort of boat shoe, like I had prefaced, just a boat shoe, not color or brand specific. «We only have this one shoe left, which is why it’s on sale… «…so I peer over her shoulder and wa-​la! There was an entire wall full of them. I’m not saying every shoe salesman/​woman needs to know everything about every particular shoe, but at least know what shoes you’re selling or can direct your customer to the right place. I’d rather not be walked away from on a note, «I sell watches, not shoes.».
Ok, lady, my apologies, I suppose I should have looked there first, maybe the Timex guy knows a little more about your shoe selection.

This Bonton did right by me in a major way. The day I was there, I got a bunch of home goods like bedding stuff and it was ALL on sale. I bought sheet sets, a blanket, some funky throw pillows and every item was between 30−70% off the original price. On top of that, the cashier said «let me get you more money off.» as he pulled out a newspaper flyer with a coupon. TWIST MY ARM WHY DONTCHA! Scanning that coupon saved me another 10% off of the already discounted sale prices! Awesome customer service!
The downside to this whole experience is that my new flannel sheets, blanket and pillows are so cozy, I dont want to get out of bed EVER!
