Bob Shore’s 76 Station

This gas station is my savior even though I rarely buy gas there. They have a mini-​mart attached.
They have saved my azz when in the midst of a Haagen-​Dasz emergency, when I’ve desperately needed ice for the apartment (sorority) parties, or cigarettes before jumping the street car. Thank God this store is only a block away. No 8 block jaunt to Fred Meyer for me!
The store itself is bright, and well kept. It’s not a shady mini mart that you wonder if the products on the shelf have been there a month, or a decade. There are a variety of frozen meals, dairy products, and of course all matter of liquid refreshments in their cases. If you’re looking for a sugar high, don’t pass up the candy/​gum/​mint aisle. Need the Sunday paper or auto trader? They have those too.
Don’t forget those tasty refrigerated burritos I just can’t stay away from.
