Description

Specialties

Blue is Portland’s most intimate live music venue featuring an array of music such as Jazz, Folk, Celtic, Middle Eastern, Blues, Bluegrass and more. In addition, we offer a selection of fine wines from around the world, a well selected list of Maine microbrews and other craft brews from outside of Maine, and a small but delicious menu featuring artisanal cheeses.

History

Established in 2005.

On Wednesday, September 15, 2010, Terez Fraser acquired Blue. Since early 2008, Terez Fraser worked very closely with the former owner of Blue, Barry P. Martin, on virtually all of the day-to-day operations and is responsible for so much of what you’ve come to know and love about Blue. Over the seven plus years of its existence, there have been so many kind and wonderful supporters of Blue (i.e., friends, family, customers, employees, etc.) In early 2009, we were joined by Aleric «Vince» Nez, who has since become part of the family. Newish to the line-up, we have Lincoln «Lunkin» Allen (jazz musician and supreme beer lover). And the newest of them all, welcome Colleen Clark to the Blue room.
