Love this black rock! I stop here almost everyday on my way to work. They have my order memorized and have it ready almost every time I pull up to the window! Very friendly girls and guys! They make mornings much better.

Caramel Blondies are addicting, service is wonderful. Have a problem with them over charging your card? Good luck getting it fixed. Went there for two caramel blondies, got one for free. My card was only suppose be charged for $ 4 and I have two charges on my card. One for $ 4 and one for $ 10.20. Went there twice, first time barista couldn’t do anything and told me to come back when manager was there. Second time manager shuffled the blame to their card reader. Called my bank and they were willing to call the place and get a verbal okay to reverse the charges. Neither my bank nor I could find a phone number. Went there a third time and the barista couldn’t even give me a number for the corporate offices. Kept telling me to look at the website which I’d been to several times already looking for a number. Don’t go there if you plan to pay with card.

I’ve been going to this black rock for quite some time and it’s usually alright. Lines are fast and coffees not too shabby. However today was rough. I ordered my usual and my partners usual. But the guy made it hot instead of iced so I asked if he could just dump it over ice and we could be on our way. He instead made me a new drink… But made the wrong drink, instead of black coffee I got chai?! I didn’t want to be that person to ask for him to remake it a third time so I just took the chai. On top of that I never got my change nor did I get my almost full stamp card back. I was too upset about the second messed up order that I didn’t go back. I’ll probably not be coming back anytime soon.

The people are so friendly and enthusiastic. Coffee is delicious and a lot cheaper than the average Portland coffee shop. Drive thru is also very convenient

As a ‘coffee’ shop, this place is odd. You can’t get a drip coffee or pour over, seemingly the most basic form of coffee. I was told this was for ‘sit down’ shops. Obviously not true, which showed the folks ignorance of coffee. Company seems more focused on sugar drinks then real coffee.

Good coffee taste overall– have only had them remake it a couple times usually they are on point. They are way less annoying than other shops but still kind of annoying. Its like wow maybe you should lay off the espresso shots. Its like how do they calm down? I really wish they would stop sipping and start ripping. Lol

Good people and great serivce. The guys and girls are always excited when they serve customers. The price is fair, a bit lower than starbucks. I enjoy the fast drive through service there.

Their signature drink, the«Caramel Blondie» is my favorite here. It’s tasty, and sweet. Also, the barista’s are pretty friendly. I usually go to Dutch Bros, but once in awhile I’ll want a different drink and come here or go to Starbucks for its convenience(close to me). The price is what I really don’t like here… it is $ 4.50 for a large(24 oz) iced Blondie. That price is equivalent to Starbucks’ ridiculous pricing! There’s no way I could afford to get coffee here daily, and probably not even more than a few times a week. Their $ 4.50 pricing is the same as what I would pay for a 32 oz. at DB… quite disappointing as I’m about taste and cost.

This is on my way to work so I’ve started coming here a lot. Fast, friendly service. Very similar to Dutch Bros. The lattes are way too sweet but they can tone it down if you ask. However the drip coffee was disappointing– just way too watery. I only tried that once though and they might have been having an off day.

Welllll, coffee coffee coffee. I absolutely love their coffee. The Irish coffee is probably my favorite. So damn delicious. I’ve also tried their lattes which are amazing. & the flavored rockstars. Sometimes I’ll do a random one and they’ll mix some flavors together and it’ll taste so good! Ha. The staff is incredibly friendly as well.

The coffee and service are excellent and consistent. I come here once or twice a week when my boss picks me up on the way to work. I will visit more often once mobile again. The iced coffee has been the best in town so far although some of the lattes can be a bit sweet. I imagine that they can adjust that for you. They have 2 drive thrus that you can gage while heading South on 82nd or East on Powell so it’s easy to avoid the longer line. Each side has an enthusiastic barista to greet you, exchange a quick session of small talk and send you on your way with a tasty caffeinated bevy. It’s a great roast and a rich flavor that will make a true Portlander hum with delight. I only wish that they had an indoor area for this location.

Five stars and this is why: They make the best goddamned coffee in PDX(tied with Stumptown, that is), which is really saying something in this town. Also, the baristas are always in the best goddamned mood. Best. Damned. Mood.

Even though this is my second favorite location(Millplain in Vancouver is my favorite) this location still gets 5 stars. Really friendly employees, fast service and consistently good coffee. I love the quirkiness and uniqueness of the staff. They make me laugh, even when I’m half asleep because(duh) I haven’t had my coffee yet! My favorite drink is definitely the Jackhammer! 4 shots of espresso in a mocha with a pump of vanilla. YUM!!!

Anything«caramel blondie» flavored is awesome. My hubby loves their vanillas chillers. They are super creamy and have a double shot in them, so they also relieve that pesky caffeine headache. I have also tried Mexican mocha which had a hint of delicious spice to it. The baristas always have music blasting so the atmosphere is happy and helpful. The line can get super long, so bring your patience.

This is a drive-thru coffee place that provides fast and friendly service. The drinks are great. The prices are reasonable. I especially like the specialty espresso drinks. I am more inclined to come here instead of Starbucks because I do like my drink to have that espresso kick. Another plus, doggie treats for your canine companion is always appreciated. Well, the dog appreciates.

Drive thru. It’s a busy location especially in the morning. I usually order their specialty espresso drinks. The baristas are always upbeat and friendly. If you’re tired of drinking the same old starbuck drinks then come here. An added bonus, it’s a tad bit cheaper than starbucks too.
