Description

Specialties

Beaterville Café serves a big breakfast all day including specialty espresso coffee drinks. If burgers, housemade soup and sandwiches are more your style – we’ve got those, too. The Café is unpretentious, the helpings generous and the coffee excellent.

Whether you want a quick business breakfast or lunch mid-week or the whole crowd is getting together on the weekend for Bloody Mary’s, Biscuits and Gravy and Vegetarian Options this is the place to get good eats.

Step into an atmosphere of old timey nostalgia and comfort food. The walls are decorated in collectables and car parts of Beater Bill’s passions.

The Bar is available to host your special events and has ocassional shows hosted by Bill. Call for additional rental information.

History

Established in 1994.

Born and raised in North Portland Beater Bill needed a place to call his own. He started looking to establish his dream breakfast joint; not just another coffee shop. As a busdriver, Bill Lockner saw something missing in his neighborhood. He wondered why North Portland didn’t have a funky, fun breakfast and lunch café and the rest is history.

Business Owner

The Beaterville Café synthesizes things that are important in Beater Bill’s life. Back in 1981 he started a club for owners of beat-up cars and bicycles. He enjoys a good cup of coffee with breakfast and having good old fashined fun. The Café brings that all together. His love of beaters is evident throughout the café. He is active in keeping Portland Weird.
