I’m sad to say this is easily the worst Thai food I’ve ever had. I’m not a Thai food snob, I love both food cart and restaurant Thai, and the curry I had was almost astonishing how it was so unlike any other curry I’ve had– in a bad way. The rice looked and tasted like minute rice, they didn’t have eggplant(what Thai establishment doesn’t at least have eggplant around?!) so my curry consisted of canned bamboo shoots, onions, and a frozen pea & baby corn blend that made up the ‘vegetables’ while the tofu was sparse and the smallest pieces I’ve ever seen in a dish(cubes the size of your thumbnail). The curry itself was overly coconut-milky and too spicy without option for level, which must be in an effort to cover up the lack of ‘taste’ from its other ingredients. What’s more, they served it in a way that made it difficult to eat as a curry. I paid $ 8.50 for a meal that made me sad when I could have had my curry craving satisfied with something decent for $ 6 anywhere else in Portland. I’m sorry to have such harsh feedback on my favorite cuisine but I would hate for someone craving a good bowl of curry to be let down like I was after going here.

Delicious food but tiny potions. I ordered the Princess Ha Prau. I asked for it without rice and with extra veggies. They served it to me in a to go box that was about ¼ full. Also I counted 6 small pieces of chicken that was the equivalent to 1⁄3 of a normal size chicken breast. I’m assuming that they fill up the plate or box with a bunch of rice(that costs next to nothing) and skimp on the good stuff. Not trying to slam the place, like I said, the food was delicious. But I won’t likely return as I don’t feel like I got my $ 7 worth.

Absolutely love this place. Good customer service and great food! Get the drunken noodles and the crab puffs.

Their Pad See Ew and Pad Thai are delicious. The portions are pretty large and the prices are good. This cart is owned by a lovely family that are always so friendly.

FOODISAMAZING. I picked this cart out of all of them cause the smell of the curry was absolutely yummy! Anyway, I had the curry sandwhich, AMAZING! Those other people don’t know what their talking about! I loved it, my boyfriend loved it. So I recommend it to anyone!

The food was fine, but nothing compared to what I’m becoming used to from Portland carts. In fact, I could have made the same thing at home quite easily. I am no Thai cook, that’s for sure, but it’s not like I make bad Thai food. I should just be able to get something better than what I can make at home. I’ll be happy enough to return, but won’t be going out of my way to do so.

I don’t know what happened! I’ve been here several times and always been pleased. Last week I went and was so disappointed. The teenager girl never called my name and my food was just sitting there. Um… ok? And when I opened my box of Drunken Noodles, there was an unhealthy layer of oil. I tilted the box and there had to be at least a half cup. So sad, I really liked this place.

One word: Amazing! Went here around dinner time with my dad. I ordered #9 the veggie combo and I told the lady I didn’t want rice and she gladly said oh I will give you more veggies then! Which is awesome because most restaurants don’t do that. My dad got the yellow curry with tofu. It was also pretty good. the curry could have been more spicy but it was good. I’m in love with the veggie combo! It’s all I can think about, the brown sauce is amazing.

I’ve had several of their dishes. These include the drunken noodle, pad Thai, and the green curry. None of them have left me wanting. Everyone is really friendly and I’m happy to put their food in my belly!

The pad Thai is to die for. Same with the drunken noodles. Portions are insanely huge compared to the food fare we get up here in Vancouver. Next time i’m down, i’ll be sure to visit Bangkok Express for more noodles!

The girl that helped me was very kind and she even took an order for a family after they closed! I asked what she recommended between the Pad See Ew and the Pad thai and she said the Pad See Ew. I chose the chicken one, for $ 6! Awesome price for a lot of food too! But… It was really yummy in the first few bites, but it began to taste burnt after a while. Maybe it was the eggs? But it was more of a charred taste, but I never really found the eggs so I’m not sure! It also was quite oily. But it was still really good!

Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles & Grandma’s Fried Rice are phenomenal! They also have a great chicken & veggie dish, chicken curry & chicken curry sandwich that are also tasty! I eat here at least once a week and I’m always satisfied. You definitely get a good amount of food for the price too. Love all of their dishes and the couple who owns/runs it are very cool people! Cheryl is usually running the front while also helping out at the nearby outdoor pub type spot while her husband cooks up a storm. Very convenient for me because it’s next to the gym I work at Monday through Friday.

Pad Se Ew is amazing. Price, speed and flavor can’t be beat. This is what food cart fare is supposed to be.

Fast, Cheap, but not very tasty. Curry sauces are extremely thin and the egg rolls are nothing to write home about. Just found their plates to be too bland. There are better carts to try at this location, and certainly plenty of better Thai places in Portland.

Indonesia’s staple meal is Fried Rice, so as an Indonesian I confidently praise their Grandma’s Fried Rice as one of the tops in town. This is not your typical Chinese-style frozen peas and carrots Fried Rice; Bangkok Express’ version includes Chinese sausage which makes a huge difference. The Pad See Ew was above average; I noticed other customers ordering it too. Service is friendly and there’s real value here.

Super friendly people serving good food at a great price in record time. Portland is not running low on Thai Food, the only problem is how to choose. If you want a good sit down dinner don’t come here, why not? Well as you can see it is a food cart, although they do have some tables in front. The quality of food is good, not the best Thai food I have had, but I must say for $ 6 it is well worth it. I stopped by at noon on a Saturday and was surprised how quickly they were able to get me my food(well under 5 minutes).
