Arwo Learning Center aims to create a community of children, parents and educators working together to support and encourage children’s growth and enthusiasm for learning. We strive to create a developmentally appropriate classroom environment that not only reflects each child’s unique abilities but also encompasses their home culture and experiences as well.

History

Established in 2014.

New facility licensed in April 2015 by the State of Maine department of Health and Human Services.

Meet the Manager

Lara M.

Manager

I attended St. Joseph’s College in Standish, Maine where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. My experience working with children began in 1993 as a Pre kindergarten teacher in Portland and from there as a Special Education Teacher and Literacy Teacher. My most recent experience was as a director for seven years at another child care center. I am very excited about the future here at Arwo Learning Center. I look forward to this new adventure in my life!
