I used to be Annastasia’s customer through and through until my stylist left and I had to go elsewhere. I have always really loved this place and their stylist, it was just on the more expensive side and hadn’t been there in a while. They have this deal on Mondays all day and Fridays from 3−6pm for $ 50 cut and color and I jumped in on it. Its their happy hour pricing and only select stylists do it, but absolutely worth it. I believe the person that did my hair was Katrina and I really liked my cut and color, I will definitely go back when I need an update.

The salon is responsive and everyone is courteous. My stylist is AMAZING, sweet and fun. Very talented and had a good sense for color. She gives a damn good shampoo too. Last time I was there I was very tense and she definitely went above and beyond to help me relax.
The place is clean and professional looking. It’s not quaint and homey which is the type of salon I normally go for. Great location also.
I deducted two stars because for one it’s pricy. More than I have paid in Chicago or NY. Reason number two for a star deduction is that I have been three times now and I am always waiting at least 15 – 20 minutes to start my appointment. In my world that’s a large amount of time. 5 minutes no biggy, 20 minutes or more not cool, each min that ticks by after about 13 minutes, sucks the joy from my experience, I know, I am very A type personality. I mentioned this to my stylist last appointment so if it’s better I will update because there is so much I do love about this place!
Do it! Book them!

My first tip would be; don’t buy any of the products in the salon. Yes, they carry great stuff but with a 45% mark up. You can buy it cheaper on the products actual website or even Amazon. Secondly, probably why I am so bitter towards the place, is, I spent $ 80 on highlights only to have zero difference in my hair. The stylist said that my hair didn’t take to it. Ummmm ok? so don’t charge me! or offer to redo it! Seriously though, what kind of dye are you using that it doesn’t take to my hair???

I came to Annastasia Salon for my wedding makeup and hair, and my bridesmaids all had their makeup done here as well. I was with April, and they split 2 of my 4 bridesmaids out with someone else who could also do airbrush makeup.
The results were fantastic. All of my bridesmaids looked great by the end of it, and even when one of my bridesmaids was about 30 minutes late to her hours long appointment, April made it work, and my girlfriend ended up looking just as polished and put together as the rest of us.
As I mentioned above, in addition to the makeup, I had my hair done. A few weeks prior I had gone in for a preview appointment to make sure that April and I were on the same page for everything we would do the day of the wedding. During that appointment, we talked about adding some extensions to my (very) short hair, and curling them. The discussion required a bit of imagination as she needed to get the correct color of extensions in, and she hadn’t done the entire hairstyle during the preview, and just pinned in the extensions to give me an idea of what we would be doing.
The day of my wedding, the extensions were a perfect match (people could not tell the hair was not mine except for the fact that my natural hair is obviously shorter), the hairstyle was exactly as I had imagined, and I looked exactly how I had hoped!
Everything lasted from my 11 AM appointment until the 11 PM end of my reception, and I could not have been happier.
April was great to work with, and I’m planning on also going to her for my regular haircuts for a while to see how it works out.
If you are thinking about doing airbrush makeup for your wedding, I highly recommend this salon (specifically, April).

They gave me a full refund and a free appointment to fix my hair. Which is amazing, thank you. I give 5 stars to customer service. Hair got fixed to the way it was before and came out beautifully thanks to Gina. My goal was to get pink hair and they told me I’d have to bleach it two more times to a white blonde to ever get close to pink. Well I’m impatient, so I went to a Rite Aid, bought a box of Splat hair dye and now my hair is pink, exactly the way I wanted in the first place. My hair was a dark blonde/​light brown… If I could do it myself perfectly from a box dye, I don’t see why it wasn’t possible to do in a salon. Maybe they just want more money? Lol. I feel like I’ve been lied to and ripped off so I don’t plan on returning. Still would recommend this salon to friends despite my experience though!

The quality of the hair color is great, but I have been trying to grow out my hair for over a year (particularly for my wedding that was last summer) and despite reminding my stylist not to cut too much, my hair was always cut as short or shorter as it had been 8 weeks prior. It had no chance to look like it was gaining length unless I stopped getting it cut; I was even on hair, skin and nail vitamins for almost 9 months. And, my hair isn’t slow to grow, either.
I had a trial run for hair and makeup prior to my wedding, which seemed like it would work beautifully as long as the makeup was toned down a bit On the day of, it looked pretty bad. My hair wasn’t even done exactly how it was before, so it looked sloppy. I should have gone with my instinct and done my own makeup, particularly because I kept being told that I needed to wear more for the photography, which meant much more was layered on my face than necessary. My pictures looked better as the night wore on and I had to redo what was smudging with my own clinique makeup.
They use Youngblood, which only had 2 lip shades (only 2?!), this awful 90s Brown and a bright orange red, and eventually I had to wipe half of it off with a tissue before applying my own powder and lip product. The lipstick smeared anyway because it wasn’t set properly. Unfortunately most of my posed pictures with family had been taken by then, so I look like I have black circles around my eyes and my chin is so shiny; the highlighter, which I was told was what I needed more of when it really made my eyes look dead, did nothing for my fair skin. I’m going to ha e to Photoshop all my family photos, the only thing decent about them is that they were not all up close.
Edited 10.29.15: Immediately after my post, I reached out to the owner’s reply who listened to my concerns and helped to remedy my customer service issue with a refund and assurance that my experience will be discussed amongst staff. Not only does Annastasia’s provide great customer service (from the top down, the receptionists are wonderful also), but they really do take concerns to heart and hope to improve upon any rare instances in which a mistake has been made. Although I’ve moved out of the area and don’t feel like my relationship with Annastasia’s can be sustained, I would still recommend the salon to friends and family. Additionally, I’m reminded that my job as a customer is just important as their job as a service provider.

Eh, I wanted to like it here. But it just wasn’t great.
I used the new client special for a cheaper haircut/​color. They charge extra for additional dye, whatever, no biggie. But I had a grown out A line, and got my hair trimmed to long layers and the dye was put in before the cut. Which took several inches off my hair, and thus several inches of dye off. (And I was getting balayage done, so most of the color was going onto the ends) The stylist didn’t even ask about the haircut while she did the dye, which when you’re doing an ombré type look is, you know, kinda important. And despite showing a picture (that was of a coloring job the stylist I used had done) my hair color was barely changed at all-​I have two weird blonde streaks in my bangs, and one weird yellow piece in the very back on the bottom of my head. When she looked at my hair post blow dry the stylist kinda made a face and said «well, it’s really subtle»… I wanted fairly natural, but I didnt spent $ 80 for my hair to look almost unchanged. I think a combo of cutting off most of the dyed hair and rinsing it too soon were to blame, but I’m not sure.
She also tried to sell me a $ 40 bottle of heat protectant when I was done… if she had asked anything about my hair care routine she would’ve known I use heat on my hair maybe once a month (I shower at night, my hair is super straight where it doesn’t need anything, and I have a newborn grabbing my hair all the time so it’s usually pulled back anyways). That felt money grabby and also sealed off a few hours of feeling like the stylist wasn’t bothering to figure out what I needed.

Have been getting my hair cut here for about 5 years. Great service and a fun place to be. I prefer Caitlin, but all the customers I see seem very happy.

The one star is for the ladies up front. They were great and attentive. I came in with a picture of my friends daughter who had just had her hail colored bright pink. My daughter had picked out her color the week before when we made the appointment in office with Marisa. I scheduled with Marisa who ended up cancelling due to sickness. When we arrived three days later for a new appointment we had been rescheduled with someone else. This was not explained to us and was not ideal. I explained to the new stylist Charrise that we wanted the bottom inch done blue. We gave her the hair swatch that they had up front that my daughter had chosen. She came back and told us they dont carry that line and gave us another blue. She suggested that instead of the even line we wanted to do a pattern that was more forgiving and not so blunt so it would hide any imperfections. We agreed. Since there was no where to sit I took my little one and we went next door to Starbucks. Big mistake. We came back ½ hour later as instructed and her hair was done in blue, not 1 inch up, but half way up her head. More like 4″ plus. She had the dye sit for 20 minutes then washed it out. It went from cobalt blue to a very light bluish green. She told me that there was a chance that her hair wouldnt take as well cause she was young but it was crazy how much it had faded and how light it was.
We went home and I called my friend who’s daughter had it done there. I showed her the pictures and she told me that I needed to call back and it was totally unacceptable. She told me that when they did her daughter they left the dye on for 4 hours and let her go home with it on. the color turned out fabulous.
When I called and talked with the woman on the phone she apologized over and over, and assured me they would make it right and offered that we come back in and have it redone at no charge. They said they would have Charrise call us back and schedule it.
Charisse called us back, was completely snotty and explained that she could do it over for an additional $ 51. She said that she had warned us. I asked then why would she invite us back to redo it for another $ 50 if it would not take? That was her only option. I asked about redoing it and leaving it in for 4 hours and going home and she explained that was toatally against their policy, and their salon would never leat a client leave with product still in their hair. In other words I was lying.
After another wash two days later her hair looked chlorine stained with green and she was in tears. This will be the way she looks on her first day of school tomorrow.
As a business you should have made things right. You should have shown SOME sort of remorse and offered some sort of compromise. Shame on you.
I wish I could post the pictures of the before and after, then two days after.
So disappointed. I wouldnt come back again if they had offerend to do it over for free.

That’s what I originally wanted, an Erin did a phenomenal job! I’ve had compliments every where I go. My look changed, and that is what I wanted.

I went in to get an updo for prom recently, and it was just a horrible experience. The woman doing my hair looked bored the entire time and didn’t really speak to me, except to frown and look frustrated when I told her what I was looking for. Her hands were shaky, she took my hair out multiple times because she «wasn’t digging it», and she criticized the amount of conditioner I had used, of all things. The bun she did on me wasn’t well done at all and fell out 10 minutes after I left, and I had to go to prom with my hair curled in random spots. It cost me $ 50 for this disaster and I’ll never ever go back. I was really disappointed. Getting your hair done should be stress free and this was obviously the opposite.

Gina Dutt. Is. Amazing. You know how you always go to a hairstylist and you have a picture of what you want but you’re not sure how to explain it? Gina always does exactly what you want. Previously I’ve had hair stylists try to tell me what I «really wanted» and I walked away unsatisfied… not true with Gina! Wahoooooo :) Seriously. I’m so impressed by her and I’ve definitely been telling my friends!

I love going to Anastasia, particularly because the environment is calming and enjoyable, but especially because of my hairstylist, Helena. Helena does excellent work and is exceptionally professional. She is current in her fashion and style, which is important to me when I want a current look done on myself. She started doing my hair 4 years ago and now does both of my cousin’s hair and my mom’s hair (who lives out of state by the way and loves Helena’s hair-​cutting technique). She does exactly what I want whenever I show her a picture of the look I’m going for. I moved here 5 years ago and have not seen anyone but Helena because she is so dependable and a pleasure to know. I highly, highly recommend Helena and Anastasia salon.

My husband has gone many times and I finally went myself. Helena has always done his hair and done a great job, so I gave her a try as well. She did a great job getting my roots fixed and boosting my color before our upcoming vacation. She is professional and also a lot of fun to talk to while she works her magic on your hair. I would highly recommend her for you or your spouse!

The people at Anastasia are miracle workers! My hair was a hot hot mess and they transformed it for a pretty great price! They worked with me through the whole process of my light brown, red, dark brown hair and helping me get very blond (an impossible task!). I also got a great conditioning massage, a lesson on how to blow dry and style my hair better and some upkeep advice since I’m moving. I was with Sharice. And she was very helpful with a difficult do’!

After 3 different stylist at 3 different salons in the last 2 years, I think I have finally found my go to place and my go to girl.
This was my first experience at Annastasia Salon! Autumn was my stylist. She was warm and friendly, professional and she really LISTENED to what I wanted and provided.
The thing I liked most about my experience was the over-​all professionalism and knowledge the staff carried. I felt comfortable trying something new and different!

I am a youthful, 50-​something woman. Anastasia is a very convenient salon for me. I had a good stylist at this salon who I really liked. But she refused to help me figure out home solutions for gray roots between salon visits. She insisted that I come in to get my roots done.
More importantly, I wanted to grow my gray hair out. My stylist said, «It will take two years, you will hate your hair the whole time, and in the end you’ll look 10 years older.» Two years later? I love my gray streaked natural hair!
Ladies who are considering growing out your natural color: GO FOR IT! It is so freeing and great not to slather your head with chemicals every 6 weeks. Also, you will have more money to spend on cool clothes and accessories that compliment your age rather than trying to hide it.

I love getting my hair done at Annastasia Salon– it always difficult to find a new hair salon after moving to a new town– I had a few ‘misses’ before finding Adam at Annastasia salon.
I always see Adam because he does an incredible job with both my cut and blonde color. He’s taken me from my boring natural brown to the ashy platinum blonde that I’ve wanted for years. He’s sweet and easy to talk to– and he’s great at what he does!
The salon is clean, always busy, and friendly. I’ve always left happy.

I ended up at Annastasia’s on the referral of a friend who sees Irene, naturally I requested Irene since I have very curly hair and look at that she does too! It may be totally bias, but I always trust a stylist with naturally curly hair over one without. Not only will she understands that my hair has a mind of it’s own and will not necessarily behave the same way as a lady who probably has the same argument with her hair in the morning!
The salon staff was friendly and warm! Irene was great and really took the time to listen to what I want and made sure to execute it. She was also great about recommending products without being a pushy sales type. I was thrilled with the way my haircut turned out, not only keeping my curls in line but also allowing them to spring and bounce without creating a frizzy mess! I’ll definitely be back!
