Ability Plus Drainage Company

Update 6÷18÷16: I received a sincere email from the company apologizing and asking for a chance to make it right. I’ve upgraded to 3 stars to show my appreciation for their willingness to address the problem and will update my review after we’ve met.
Regret to say I would NOT recommend; if you do use them, don’t give them a check until you’re absolutely satisfied. It’s been a month since I asked politely for resolution, and no response.
1. The agreement was to have a french drain installed 4 – 5 feet from the house & slope the dirt down to it, to take water away from the house. The drain was put right next to the house. When asked, Greg said that was close enough to the original plan.
2. The crew had to install a window well under a brand new porch. The sides were covered with lattice, and they got access by cutting holes with a utility knife. They propped the pieces roughly in place with mounds of dirt. It looks awful.
3. They ran a downspout drain in another window well, which I’ve been told can be a problem if it overflows.
3. They left landscape cloth exposed (it should have been covered with dirt), which also looks bad.
4. Most of the basement is dry (yay!), but there’s one corner that wasn’t covered in the original contract. I asked Greg to come back out to help find a solution, which we know will cost extra, and he hasn’t gotten back to me.

I Used Greg and his company on an art studio project where the foundation walls were leaking. They were awesome, fixed the issues and everything looked awesome when they were done.

Greg Brimhall and his crew helped us get to the bottom of a foundation/​drainage issue that was allowing water to leak into our basement. Greg is a consummate professional who is all about putting the consumer first. He personally made multiple trips to the house to assess the situation, got a crew out quickly to fix the issues, and has remained in contact to ensure that we are fully satisfied.
Just this week, he came out on short notice as we had another issue and helped to get to the bottom of it and provide an easy fix. I would recommend him and his crew to anyone who is dealing with foundation or drainage issues.

Ability came out to look at our property as the first step in preparing an estimate. They never sent the estimate. I called and left several voicemails over the course of a month, and they never returned the calls. Quite unprofessional, in my opinion.

We have recruited Ability Plus Drainage for two separate issues at our house. Not only was the work completed in a timely fashion, the owner was very patient in explaining exactly what was going to be done. He also gave us little pointers on how to do some of the work ourselves to save a little bit of money. My husband and I both felt like he had our best interests in mind, and agree that he is a very reputable contractor. We would both recommend him without reservation.

Excellent work installing french drains and a dry creek bed in front of my house. Work proceeded from start to finish in 4 days and it looks great. Calls are not always returned right away but the people were all pleasant and easy to work with.
