This place is closing. Last day is June 30^th, 2016. Very sad because they are the classiest place in town!

Love the relaxed atmosphere, comfy couches and live music. The food is excellent too. This is our first choice when wanting to unwind on a Friday night. They also have other choices besides wine. This is a gem that I hope we can keep in Portage.

Loved this place. Great ambiance, and the food was a level above what you’d expect in Portage. The fish tacos were outstanding.

Whoa Portage, since when do you have swag?! I came here after work with other work friends and it blew me away! A great hang out place with lots of room, couches, comfortable seating. They also had boardgames people could play!
They have a great menu that varies in price. Their food is well thought out and of high quality. We had their quesadillas and they did not disappoint.
It looks like they are a great addition to the Portage community. They put on events such as painting night where people can come in and be taught how to paint… while drinking! Bonus, right?!

Easily the best place in portage. The wines are fun, always changing, that suit just about everyone’s taste’s. The staff is friendly and always have good recommendations. The cocktails are modern and fair priced. They have a tapa’s/appetizer style menu that is amazing!
This place is so good, you’ll find yourself saying «I can’t belive this place is in portage!» Over and over again.
Wensday night is open mic night.
There is a trivia, a painting nights and lots of other fun stuff.
Every so often they have a wine and food pairing.
NOTE: guys if you looking for a place to meet higher class lady. Go on the cupcake pairing night! If you can’t meet someone that night. Just give up.

I love this place! Its the perfect place to go for a nice glass of wine and good conversation. My husband and I went here for date night a few months and ago and we were not disappointed. They have plenty of seating areas so you can carry on a conversation without having to scream at each other.

A 5 star rating because of the most welcoming, kindest and attentive staff and the awesome vibe that this place has. As an out-​of-​towner, I was just telling my date about how I love finding new unique places in small towns that are cozy, comforting and «homey» (I’m from Chicago). This place is exactly that and better.
We arrived a few minutes after the kitchen closed (9pm), but the bartender said that since the kitchen was slightly behind, they could serve us. AMAZING after a long day of skiing. He had recommendations from the menu for food, then he had recommendations for drinks, beers, wines, cocktails, specials, and also recommendations for skiing. He did not skip any corners, and I loved that. When we sat down in the lounge area way from the bar, our new server was always checking up on us when our beers were low, and she was magnificent as well. So kind.
Food and drinks reasonably priced, food was reasonable, we only ordered a cheese quesadilla and a pizza bread, but it hit the spot.
The vibe is like something out of a 60s lounge from Mad Men. It was amazing. Quiet, cozy, candles at tables, a fireplace, everybody in the place was just enjoying their time.
Bottom line, ⁵⁄₅ because of the friendly staff. ⁵⁄₅ would stop in again if in town.

Having recently found myself in Portage after living in Chicago I had accepted the fact that there weren’t going to be many (err any) classier bars that I could go with the girls or on a nice date but 205 Vino has filled that void! If you’re looking for a place to come and enjoy a drink and an appetizer by the fireplace this is it! Vino has done an amazing job at getting involved in the community, hosting events and activities (open mic, comedy, painting classes, etc) which makes them more than just a wine bar. In conclusion, I LOVE Vino, getcher butts here!
