Welcome to a gentle and empowering embodied psychotherapy and mindful movement practice. Tap into the restorative abilities held in the mind and body to change experience in the now. Take in information and direction from sensations, perceptions, and movements inside and around the body with guided evidence-​based knowledge and a compassionate therapist with 30 years experience. Humans are complex, but getting well and staying well doesn’t have to be. I support individuals, couples, families, groups, and entrepreneurs to live symptom-​free, stress-​free, and in loving relationships.

History

Established in 1991.

It began 25 years ago as a marriage and family psychotherapy practice, adding life coaching for entrepreneurs, contemplative and movement practices, and a variety of certifications in emotional intelligence, movement, and expressive therapies along the way. Catherine’s continuous training in relationship health, dance and the sciences of creative arts and movement has been invaluable in the transformation to a motion-​based practice. Einstein said it well: ‘Nothing happens until something moves.’ It is a practice rich in experience and creative approaches that are applicable to relationships, work situations, parenting, and family life at any stage of development. Mind-​Body-​In-​Motion has evolved into a revolution in response to the management of stress and the challenges of daily living.

I felt understood, heard, and seen. It has become a practice in my daily life and with added benefits that go beyond stress-​busting. Your nervous system will thank you for this approach unlike any other, because while it receives instructions to what it needs, it also helps you to do it. It’s a creative process that is both revealing and healing. Talking focuses on the experience in the moment more so than on rehashing the past or some repetitive situation, because you want to move from being stuck. You integrate stress-​busting skills to meet the demands of modern living and for dealing with situations at any level of importance to you.
