This is a Sunday staple for my fiancé and I. Salt bagel with tofu vegetable cream cheese is simply delicious.

Best bagels anywhere in Long Island. When traveling often asked if I can pick up some bagels on my way out of Port Washington. Attentive staff and even with the line out the door — they get to you promptly.

Swung by when hitting my grandfather’s house, knew it was an old family fave. Can totally understand why. Got there about 10:40am on a Saturday morning — big line but everyone was patient and pleasant. Breakfast sandwich — bacon, egg and cheese on sesame, not toasted — could not have been better. Perfect and delicious. Lunch bagel was strong — the chicken salad was maybe a little bland but otherwise it was good. Parents both enjoyed their sandwiches — Dad was particularly enthralled with the egg salad. All the pastries and cookies we got were great. The black and white cookie was fantastic. Rainbow cookies were okay. Rugelach couldn’t have been better. Almond horn with chocolate on each end kicked butt. Coffee was great. Service was quick and friendly despite the crowd and got the order perfect. Bagels themselves couldn’t have been better. Price was fine. Can’t wait to go back. Thanks!

I don’t really agree with the top notch best bagel on long island comments. The bagels were ok, but pricey. It only gets the 3rd star because of its convenience and proximity to work. The line is extremely disorderly to place an order, and if your not a favorite or every day customer they will skip right over you. It also shouldn’t take 15 minutes to get a toasted and buttered plain bagel.

This place seems to be the spot for bagels in the Port Washington/Roslyn area. Packed with a line out the door on a Sunday, I had fairly high expectations. There is a large selection of bagels and spreads(think standard bagel shop), salads and other baked goods. The verdict? Fresh, tasty and very reasonably priced. Service was good and I can see why this place is a local favorite. Thumbs up.

They are the most over priced bagel place I have EVER been to. I was so disgusted with my service and food quality this morning I had to write a review. I literally was eating raw bacon… thanks a lot. Also, the counter help is very rude and couldn’t care less about helping their customers. Would never go back here.

This is the place for bagels! I grew up in port and every time our family had an event these bagels were included. Expect a line out the door on weekend mornings. They have a text to order number in case your in a hurry. I stop by every time I’m home for these fresh bagels.

This is one of my favorite places. Last time I was here was like 10 years ago and it was the best back then. Went again today and the bagels are still spectacular. Nova and cream cheese on an everything bagel with capers and onions. The best. Highly recommended. Don’t be slow about ordering and it’s a little chaotic, but they will make whatever you want. This is truly what a New York bagel tastes like.

This is a really great bagel store. It’s hard to compare places on Long Island for bagels. I would say most places are ok but then you come by one store that you go to repeatedly. This is my spot– and I live walking distance to another shop! But really, the bagel and cream cheese options are delicious. These bagels are well made with a good bite and good seasoning. They are well-priced for most their items too. The bonus I guess to some other shops is that the inside of the store is pristine. I know some bagel shops just look like complete dumps but this one is quite the opposite. I’d say if you’re in the area and looking for breakfast or lunch this should be your spot! You can even text your orders for quick pickup!

First time visiting after passing by many times. $ 4.50 for an everything lagel with special lox spread, though that simply means $.50 for scallion in your spread. A very good bagel, but lacking crunch on the crust, but a good amount of chew for the body of the bagel.

I have been working in Port Washington for the last year I go to this place all the time, finally I am going to review. The food is really good the bagels are always fresh the cream cheese always on point place is always clean. But I give three stars(***) cause some of the younger people working at this place sometimes make me feel as if they the ones paying me to come and get food there. Good food and some crappy costomer service keeps me coming back lol

I gotta be honest. This places seems to market it self as a top notch bagel place. I can’t totally agree. While they do have some interesting cream cheese options(for example«everything» creamcheese). the bagels just don’t have that magic you find in a bagel from my absolute most favorite bagel shop«Hand Rolled Bagels» in New Hyde Park. They’re a bit too tough, and considering they should’ve been made in the morning, I find that unacceptable(unless of course they’ve been out since the day before!). They do have a smoothie bar — wasn’t impressed with the smoothie. It was a bit too tart for my taste and not enough milk added. It’s a bit too pricey IMO, but that’s also due to the fact that it’s in Port Washington.

Decent bagel place. Clean. Delicious bagels. Fresh ingredients. They also will toast your bagel for you. :) You can sit down and dine too.

This is by far the worst bagel and black and white cookie I have had on Long Island. I was really disappointed when the went here because it had a lot of hype and let me down hard. The bagel was hard and not soft on the inside and was very small for the price. In addition the black and white cookie and bagel both lacked flavor. On top of the bad food the person who helped was the worst. I told her all at once what I wanted and repeated myself but she forgot which bagel I asked for, then forgot if I wanted cream cheese or butter, then forgot I wanted a cookie, then forgot I wanted coffee. Maybe she was having a bad day or was really forgetful but overall this bagel place was a bad experience and I would suggest people to go elsewhere. Also the setup of this bagel place from ordering to receiving the food is very unorganized poor design you’ll see if you ever go here.

I never knew this place existed and now I’m bitter I didn’t know sooner. I’m often up in Port Washington visiting family, but I’ve never been able to find a good bagel nearby. After seeing many positive Unilocal reviews on Let There Be Bagels, I decided it was worth a try on a Wednesday morning. The place was pretty busy for a weekday at 11, but I was promptly helped by a nice enough woman. I got a eighteen bagels(there was a special – 18 for the price of 12) and 2 huge rainbow cookies. The bagels are very good. I’m going to reserve saying they were excellent as I still want to try them again, but they’re definitely very good. Slightly crispy outside, doughy inside(in a good way), but maybe a bit too chewy, although now I’m nitpicking. The rainbow cookies were awesome, some of the best I’ve had from around New York. I’ll definitely be back – very good bagels and excellent cookies, what’s not to like?

Family favorite in port. Love the diet bagels and really love the everything. Especially when it’s warm. Make sure to count for the long line, but it does move quickly. Also you are able to order on line for pickup.

This place has its act together. Great choice of genuine bagels & cream cheese, and the bagels are dense, chewy and delicious. I ordered an everything-egg bagel with scallion cream cheese, nova & tomato. What came out was perfection, accompanied by a small side salad(some places do this, others don’t, though it doesn’t affect my review either way), and a cookie. But let’s go back to that bagel: enough to feed a very hungry reviewer & generously adorned with salmon(photo included). There is ample seating, though the cashier’s line can get a bit clustered when crowded. So be it — just elbow your way through, grab your food and get eating!
