If you are on a 2200 mile road trip, you want a cheap place to camp out and relax, preferably with hot shower. For 10 bucks, you get that at the fairgrounds. Its not fancy, but it was quiet, and had clean restrooms/​showers with HOT water. As a bonus we found a section that was perfect to take our bikes down and practice jumps and manuals to burn off the excess energy that accumulates sitting on your ass eating junk food for 12 hours.
If you are on the cheap. Go to Safeway, grab a quart of Clam Chowder (its so foggy there you will think its New England) and a hot drink, come back to the camp, set up you laptop through the car stereo system and enjoy a movie under the stars.
