History

Established in 1949.

In 1949, Hoyt Campbell Murphy began Hoyt C. Murphy REALTORS that grew to include more than 50 Sales Associates and three offices with prime locations in Fort Pierce, South Hutchinson Island, Ocean Village and Port St. Lucie. Their son, Hoyt C. «Pat» Murphy, Jr., and their daughter, Margaret «Peggy» Murphy, joined the business and continued the family heritage. Since 1949, the firm has sold over $ 1.5 Billion of local real estate transactions including groves, hotels, residences, condominiums and commercial properties.

Linda Schlitt Gonzalez and Steven Schlitt presently co-​own the company. They have grown the company into nine offices covering over 100 miles along Florida’s east coast. Now known as Coldwell Banker Paradise, the company has a sales force of 190 sales associates and 30 staff to meet real estate needs for Port St. Lucie, Fort Pierce, South Hutchinson Island, North Hutchinson Island, Vero Beach, Sebastian, and Melbourne, Florida.
