His performance as a Chef at the Hotel Jagua in Cienfuegos, Cuba, Las Palmas Restaurant in Colombia, Habanos Restaurant in Key West, Florida, and lately on Talavera Restaurant in Coral Gables Florida attest 15 years experience, in international cuisine and as a sommelier.

Just heard about this place and decided to give it a try, especially after reading the reviews. I have been eating Latino Cuban food at the only other cuban restaurant in town for years. My buddy and I went last night. The food was awesome.
I got the shrimp in salsa verde, and the conch fritters. Lots of conch. Unlike most places where it is lots of dough.
My friend got the steak marinra… It was huge and delicious. He said it was so much better that other place.
The service was super friendly, and we met the owner and his wife.
Fairly extensive menu, and priced reasonably.
Definitely higher up than the other place, which I thought was great.

I likey! I thought this place was a great find with great Cuban food! The Bistek Empanada (Breaded Steak) was monster huge and awesome! Rice, Beans, Yucca, Tostones… Oh and the Bread the put out on the table. YUM! And yes, the menu is very reasonably priced. The staff was great and accommodating.

The best Cuban food in PSL hands down. Excellent service as well. A real family vibe. Pallomilla steak and whole fried snapper for us and at a very reasonable price too. Hidden in a strip mall, but well worth finding. The owner came over and offered me a complimentary drink when our food took a little while to come out. The lost art of great service!

Outstanding! Authentic Cuban food, the breaded steak was nice and thin, tender and flavorful. The fried sweet plantains were crispy on the outside yet tender on the inside. The white rice was soft with a hint of salt. The black beans tender and savory. They have Materva and Iron beer (2 very traditional Cuban sodas) The flan (custard) was like moms. The staff was friendly and helpful. Small hole in the wall type of place, clean restroom. We will definitely be back.

Wow!!! This place is incredible. This was my first time having Cuban food. And I must say what a treat it was. I had the palomilla steak talked with onions and cilantro. My friend the Black bean soup and the Cuban sandwich on midnight bread. The midnight bread is very interesting it is a toasted sweetbread both found it very delicious.

I ordered ropa vieja w plantains and veggies and of course a café con leche. It was fantastic, not expensive compared to similar cuban resturants, and at least double the food I’m used to. For sure going to be back, and soon!

Agree with previous reviewers with the 5 star rating. Giant Cuban sandwich — probably the best in the area. Tostones were great and actually a bit fluffy (for a tostone)!!! Lechones asada was very flavorful and enough to take home for dinner. Black beans were good. Finally — real good Cuban coffee. Great chef and great front of house. Will be back.

Best Cuban food I’ve had outside of Miami and as good as any I’ve had there. Real flavor. Real Cuban sandwiches. Conch fritters loaded with conch. Can’t wait to try the Key West lobster. Couldn’t stop raving about the Iced Cuban Coffee, the perfect amount of sweetness. Was there only for lunch, but definitely will hit it at dinner time.

After one visit, I think I think I may have found the best Cuban food on the Treasure Coast. This is authentic Miami style Cuban food. I had the fried pork chunks with moros rice, and my wife had the grilled chicken breast, also with moros. Both were excellent. Tender, juicy, and flavorful. I’m looking forward to my next visit.

Simple place with great food. The traditional cuban dishes cooked as they should be. Generous portions. Friendly staff. Very reasonable prices.
The churrasco was perfect and the roast pork was delicious. Highly recommended. I will try the sandwiches next time I visit. Finally, an awesome cuban joint in this area!!!

Decent size portion meals! If you’re into salads, their «House Salad» is only $ 4 and it’s pretty decent! Sandwiches are pretty delicious as well; we had a grouper sandwich. We will definitely come back again and try more food on the menu!
