I called to get an estimate on my cars transmission. The gentleman who answered the phone was rude and did not want to help me. Maybe he is sexist because I’m female? I found that odd considering I was calling around to several different transmission shops for estimates and everyone was helpful in answering my questions except this shop. It’s probably a good thing he was rude and short with me because after reading the reviews on this shop on Google I’m so happy I didn’t consider taking my car here. Terrible reviews. Look it up. Do not go here very rude and horrible reviews. I hope they go out of business.

This place screwed me over big time and kept wanting to charge me more. Their initial verbal quote went up by approximately $ 400 and it didn’t fix the problem. It started overheating as soon as I drove it away so I took it back and they were like, «We don’t test drive our cars when finished or we would never get work done.» They then determined that the problem was my radiator (but I knew it wasn’t) and got angry with me when I told them not to work on it. I took the car to another shop and they immediately ran some simple tests and determined I had a bad head gasket or head causing excess pressure in the coolant system. Why Puget Sound Auto Repair which is also A-​1 Radiator couldn’t correctly figure out or test a simple coolant system problem is beyond my understanding. After spending $ 1000 they never fixed the issue.
I also wrote them an email expressing my concerns they never responded and completely ignored it and I would have thought they never got it but they made a small comment about something when I was paying them that showed they did read the message.
I would highly recommend you avoid this place.
