Meet the Business Owner

Darren E.

Business Owner

Darren grew up in Port Orchard and graduated from South Kitsap High School. A true local boy, he announced basketball games and honed is voice talent. He went on to become the Production Director for KZOK radio station in Seattle. He held that job for seventeen years and worked with many major talents in the rock music industry. A corporate buyout and restructuring (a.k.a., downsizing, income-​shifting) left him (and many others) out of a job. The creative spirit that he is, Darren took the spark of an idea for a local music retail store that would provide full services to the community, and he segued that into Mainline Music. That was over five years ago. The store has grown to employ music teachers, a certified repair technician, and a crew of dedicated staff. The retail store front found its niche in the downtown corridor in a large old building that hosts lesson rooms and large storefront windows. Come see!
