Hi, I’m Greg Steele and I’ve proudly served the Kitsap area for over 5 years with computer repair through my business Apex PC & MAC Repair. I offer an experience few others can compete with, not only do I have competitive prices, I also strive to make sure all your questions are answered and your needs are met. I give a one-​on-​one personal experience to each and every individual. How it all started

I started working on computers at a the very young age of 7. My parents bought a brand new Dell desktop PC for me and my siblings for school. It was not long before I got curious and started fixing it up (as I called it) and my parents came home to their new PC in pieces on the dining room floor. Needless to say, I had no idea what I was doing at the time. But I remember how mad my father was and how he pretty much scared me into a computer genius over night by saying «If you don’t fix this computer, you’re grounded for life «Actually, it was a little worse than that, but I am trying to keep it PG for you. With the help of an old neighbor who knew his way around computers, I had everything put back together and completed my very first format on a hard drive with a fresh install of windows 95. I had my iPad Air screen/​digitizer replaced at a shop in Bremerton and worked fine for 40 days but then went nuts ghosting touches and doing everything except what I wanted it to do. I looked this up and said it was common on replacement screens but the shop had only a 30 day warranty, so he said too bad.
I spent $ 150 dollars on that. Online fixes said I could open it up and tape it to stop the ghosting touches.
Well went in to Apex… they have a life time warranty but was going to cost $ 149 plus tax. Well life time warranty is lifetime warranty so I let him fix it and it was done in 2 hours or so. I am typing this review now ON MY PAD!
Was going to go to Apex first but they were closed Monday and I got impatient. Cost me $ 150.00 extra

Didn’t know too much about the place or pricing, not to mention I was a little skeptical to find that it was a out of home business. Boy was I worried for nothing. Greg, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. I explained to him the problems I was having and he took my laptop saying he will call me within the next 2 hours with a price estimate. He called up just like he said and I was amazed at his price, it was. And he said he would have it done within a day. Overall great experience here at affordable prices.

I discovered Apex after my 3-​year-​old MacBook (which supports my small business) died mid-​sentence; Apple provided only inconclusive diagnostics by phone plus a prescription for a 2-​hour drive one-​way to their nearest authorized facility without a ballpark for cost or time of repairs.
One short message to Greg and he called back within minutes. He suggested possible issues based on my description plus possible associated repair time and costs. No pressure. He even suggested I double check with Apple to confirm warranty coverage, in case I could get a better deal. To me, his human, prompt, concise response already looked like the better deal.
Once I brought my machine to Greg he quickly confirmed the issue and offered options with clear prices for parts and labor. I chose to have him ship my part for repair, and he warned me to expect a long turnaround time. He was responsive throughout the repair process, quick with his end of the work, and his prices are totally fair. His shop looked busy both times I visited but he is still prompt and attentive with each customer.
I am so pleased to have found such a helpful (and friendly) pro in my neighborhood. Thanks again Greg.

Greg is awesome! Super helpful, professional, did exactly what he promised to do. My 2009 MAC died on the last apple update. My husband was worried about our personal information etc. But after dropping off my computer and looking at the work stations, I was totally impressed. Super clean, super professional. Am so glad I found him!
I was worried about the bill to get it fixed. Not only was it super reasonable (and I am super cheap), but it was repaired with in 1 business day and Greg answered some questions I had regarding Microsoft Office and Outlook. I am so pleased with his work, and his friendly demeanor. I would recommend this company to everyone with a computer issue!

Brought my laptop in with a number of ‘bugs’, missing files and malware issues. I had it back within 24 hours.
I’ve used the Geek Squad over the years, and other more known computer tech businesses, but I can’t say enough about the great service and reasonable rates I received from these guys. Greg and his partner spent time answering my questions about other tech issues, offered solid recommendations and showed a high degree of patience and knowledge. If your not familiar with, nor knowledgeable about what causes the sporadic computer issues we all face, not to mention how to fix them, I’d go here as I will in the future.

I dropped it off Wednesday evening and it was ready Thursday before lunch. Very convenient and super friendly. Way cheaper than taking it to the Apple store. Greg is a gem. He is a true professional: knowledgeable, helpful, and honest. He took the time to call & explain the issue with my daughter’s broken iPad display in detail, and ensured I was comfortable with the repair and cost before he began work on it. I cannot say enough about Apex repair.
My 2009 iMac had died and it was fixed in one night for a lot cheaper than I had anticipated.
Not only did they do what I had asked, they updated my OS for free and attempted to retrieve my existing information from old hard drive.
Greg did an amazing job and I will bring him any issues that I have in the future.

After reading so many mixed reviews of various computer shops in Tacoma, and the sheer amount of time it could take, I decided to give Apex a call. Greg was able to give me an estimate on both of my laptops over the phone, and he stuck with it.
He repaired the cracked screen on one computer in ten minutes, as I had supplied the screen. It was absolutely beautiful, and no sign it wasn’t original.
He also repaired my other laptop which had a burnt out charging plug (I am clearly not a tech person). When it turned out both the component and my charger were dead, he sent me a link to a replacement charger, saving me a ton of money on the one I bought at RadioShack.
Great service, clearly knowledgable on his craft, and well-​worth the drive from Gig Harbor.

Greg at Apex PC & Mac Repair is great! He diagnosed my macbook’s issue in under 3 minutes and had the parts the next morning. My computer was fixed in under 24 hours. The Apple store can’t schedule a diagnostics appointment at the ‘genius bar’ in under that time frame. Bottom line– Greg is a computer genius with an excellent price tag. Thanks Greg for your help, your military discount, & all of the extra advice. I will be recommending you for sure!

Greg came out today to work on our computer. He was only scheduled to come for 2 hours at the most, but ended up staying 3+ hours trying to get everything fixed. Really nice, helpful guy. Even offered to do more for free, if I needed it. Thanks, Greg! My kids loved you, too!
