Customer service is below poor. The summer camp has its ups and the director is great but the membership and everything beyond is terrible. They lose your payment and then try to blame it on you and then after you give your 2 week cancellation notice for your membership, they’ll still charge you. Planning on stopping in to sign up or handle something quickly? Think again, it’ll take you at least 45 minutes for someone to start to help you and start for them to figure out what the left hand is doing to the right. I wanted to like them because of their summer camp but I can’t deal with the incompetence with the membership staff any longer.

I have had a membership here for a little over a year so far:) My kids love the childcare and the pool is a great size! I workout early in the morning and leave before the crowds come in and the machines start to fill up. Only complaint is people who don’t get off the machine when it is your time on the sheet and they get mad at you. Great atmosphere other than that and they hardly ever have broken machines, they are great with fixing them quickly:)

The most awesome YMCA outdoor lap pool ever, anywhere is also heated. I hear Ryan Lochte swam here, woo-hoo! I’m nowhere near that league and more than twice his age but I appreciate the«brush with greatness» in any case. The weight lifting area is very well used and very packed on Saturday afternoons. I like that they have two cable machines going. The rest of this Y holds up reasonably well to the(many) other Ys in my travel folder. Steamroom, check. Sauna, check. Swimsuit-drying machine(lol), check. The short Sunday hours are always a disappointment when you’re talking the Y but the 0500 weekday opening time more than makes up for that lack of flexibility. By the way, the whole City Center in Port Orange is pretty awesome, and reminds me of Palo Alto, CA.

We’ve been members for about 4 years and try to get there 3 – 4 times per week. There is an excellent gym with all the usual equipment, basketball court, exercise classes, Olympic size pool(Ryan Lochte trains here), billiards, handball, weights, etc. Definitely worth a look if you’re serching for a complete gym. About $ 52 per month.

Typically I can get what I need to get done any place, any time. This YMCA offers a free weight room, a pool, basketball courts, racketball, a cardio and machine area, various classes and kids programs. I go here because it is convenient and you can usually get the equipment you need. It is typically busy in the morning around 9 but I have no problems maneuvering around the senior citizens, doing my thing and getting out of there. If you are into the gym to get your stuff done effectively and get out, then this might be the place for you.
