We just left this restaurant. It was the first time I’d been here. The waitress told me they were out of chicken tenders, so we changed our order. When we asked about the salad that is supposed to come with the entrée, we were told they were out of salad/lettuce. Which, I guess means that the sandwiches/burgers come without lettuce. I asked to just get the drinks«to-go» and leave, since they were obviously out of quite a bit of food. Now, normally, most places will comp drinks in similar situations. I waited close to 10 min for the waitress to return, without the«to-go» cups, and discovered that I was charged $ 4.98 for two teas. Very disappointing. Customer service is a little off. Anyway, this was my first and last time there. I most definitely do not recommend.

Nice little breakfast place with good food at decent prices. Friendly staff, they also serve lunch with some good sounding items. I’ll try the chicken fried steak soon. Nice place

Owned and operated by the same people who were behind Nederland’s The Lunch Counter and Primo’s — they know the restaurant business. Lots of parking(they need it as this place is always busy) available, open for the early birds but closes after lunch. Natural light fills the dining areas and its open atmosphere matches the mom and pop ‘at home’ vibe — the rear entrance is even like walking into granny’s. This is the type of place where regulars might get a hug from a waitress and first timers will sure to be openly greeted and maybe called ‘hon’ or ‘sugar’ while taking their order. Large breakfast menu with a couple of ‘specials’ as well. Food is always great, as ordered and delivered rather quickly even when busy. If it is a little slow, don’t fret, the coffee pot is always filling and being brought by. We’ve never ordered from the steam table but the few late breakfasts we’ve had overlapped them stocking it and it always looks good. The lunch menu is written on the chalk board and I know it’ll be just as good as his previous location.

My friend discovered this place after wanting to try a new breakfast place. We didn’t want the typical IHOP, Waffle House, or Cracker Barrel. So after staying over at her place, me, my friend and her sister decided to try it out. It was about 20 minute drive from where we were and we were very skeptical of it because it was in the middle of no where. The inside is nothing fancy but it has a very welcoming vibe. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive and made small talk with us. I got the Chicken Fried Steak breakfast and it was amazing! The portions was ridiculous! I got a huge Chicken Fried Steak smothered in gravy on it’s own plate, 2 over easy eggs, hashbrown, and a biscuit! I’m usually not a breakfast person but it was so good and kept me full past lunch. I could not finish my whole breakfast. I had a lot left over. The same with both my friends. They also had a great dessert menu so we order a carrot cake to go. The carrot cake was a little dry but good. Nothing compared to the breakfast though.

My wife and I started going to the Magnolia Diner recently. We live nearby, and wanted to find a good local breakfast dive. We’ve found it here! The atmosphere would is the typical family restaurant; nothing fancy, but nothing to complain about. Waitresses are very friendly. Always quick to keep the coffee flowing, knowledgeable, and helpful with any questions. On our first visit, we came for breakfast, but it was kind of late in the morning. So we saw that there is a steam table in one of the dining areas that we noticed being stocked with food. After inquiry, we learned that they serve lunch from there daily. It looked delicious so we came back for lunch. There were several entrees to choose from. Among the diners in my party we sampled a few dishes, and all of them were fantastic. Massive portion sizes at less than $ 10? I’m in!
