I was blown away by the great customer service and attention to detail. My iPad cracked screen was fixed quickly and was only $ 100! They treat you like a member of their family. This is my new go to store.

Had I written this review exactly at the time of the disaster, It would have been x rated. My ‘repair” took the better part of a MONTH, and never happened, I finished up the month with the same screen I started with and I had to go to Mc/​Visa initiate a chargeback to get the
prepaid $ 145 back. (I had documented everything and Mc Visa agreed with me). I was misled into thinking this was a great company because of the good reviews I read. I discovered that if you have an I Phone you stand a good chance of being happy. If you have something else? in my case an LG 2, do not trust them. They haven’t a clue.
When I went there, (a good distance from the Bronx area) I told the tech I had an error message saying the screen was damaged, I showed a photo of the error message. He told me I needed to reset the phone. What? And lose data. and how much $ ??? no, I should have left then seeing his misdiagnosis. there was just a blind spot at top of screen
when I balked about resetting the phone he went to speak to someone else. finally decided I only needed a new screen. Duh.
I think that was a thurs, I paid express service upcharge of about $ 25 to get new screen fast, The following week Tues eve they installed ‘new screen’ and closed the shop for the evening, As soon as I got into car I realized it wasn’t working right and left for business trip the following morning for a week with a phone they hadn’t tested. Unbelievable.
FINALLY they decided perhaps the new screen was defective, now reordered it but it took forever to arrive because they said LG wouldn’t express it (although I’d paid for express initially) I was left with a phone that was worse than I started with during this time.
so I waited and waited and returned etc. what happens? I had similiar issues with the Supposedly NEW 2^nd screen!!!
weeks after Beginning this nightmare, Repair NON-​Xpert said my motherboard needed work, and that it was NOT a screen issue, and that they had done their job and they were keeping my $ 145. because they had installed a new screen.(Ha ! the old one only had a blind spot, now my ‘repaired” phone had worsened issues)
Realizing that in life you get further if you don’t lose your temper, I did not. However, this REPAIR NON X PERT was clearly being blasé about this. When I complained about the passing of weeks.
the management was snooty… condescending !.. there was no comprehension of the inconvenience (I use this for work, I don’t play games) I’ve been an owner and sales manager in numerous companies and this place esp manager has NO finesse. no style, no savvy. I have had dozens of employees and no one like him would have been allowed to interact with MY customers.
I’ve lost track of the number of trips from Bronx area to Portchester.

I initiated Mc/​Visa chargeback, got my money back, they re-​installed the original screen that I came to them with, and oh yeah I’m still using this phone, REPAIR X PERT
EVEN I KNEW I did NOT need a new motherboard.

They replaced the screen on my iPhone 5 in August 2015. Right away it was suspicious to me because they want you to pay upfront; so you cannot complain when you see that the screen they use is not even close to the original one. I am not sure if this is legal, usually businesses provide service or show you the product before they take money from you.
They charged me for iPhone 5 screen $ 100 and Apple store charges $ 129, so their price is big rip-​off. They lied that screens they have are as good as the original ones. Not even close. It is much darker, colors are different, white is not white anymore, but greyish.
Moreover, they did not properly installed the screen, it became wobbly, and after only 2 months it cracked by itself (it was not dropped or anything like that).
Shame on you Repair Rip-​off Expert!

I dropped my iPhone 4s, face fast on the sideway and shattered the front screen into a million pieces. I called the apple store and they wanted $ 150 to replace the glass… for a phone that’s 5 years old and old of warranty, that’s crazy.
I walk by the White Plains store everyday, so I decided to call to see if Repair Xpert could help me. Kevin was able to replace the screen in less than 30 minutes! AND the best part, it cost me a third of what apple was asking for the repair.

Brought in my kid’s iPhone5c to fix cracked screen. These guys fixed quickly and the quality is great. Recpmmend it.

(I am reviewing my experience with trying to fix a unique issue, so I am sure that the employees at Repair Xpert will know exactly who provided this review, if they read it)
What could have been a five star review of Repair Xpert turned into a one star condemnation. I took my smartphone into Repair Xpert last week to have the screen and frame repaired/​replaced after they broke due to a drop on the pavement. The employee I spoke with, whom took my phone from me was pleasant and clear about what would be done with the phone. The cost of the service was inexpensive. I left Repair Xpert that day knowing exactly what to expect when I got my phone back. Unfortunately, my good experienced turned into a bad experience.
I returned to Repair Xpert about a week later to pick up my repaired phone. The phone looked like new and was presented to me as such (like new). On the surface, everything was as I expected. When I got home to setup my phone, I noticed a strange issue. I was not able to use the NFC feature of my phone which allowed me to touch my repaired phone to the back of a temporary phone I was using, in order to transfer my account information (to make the phone transition quicker and easier). I used this feature prior to turning in my broken phone for repair in order to easily transition to the temporary phone. Although I knew the feature worked before I turned my phone in, I brushed off the fact that I was not able to use it to transition back as an anomaly. The next day when I was about to use my phone as I have for months at this point, as a source of music in my car, I touched the back of my phone to an NFC tag that I have on my car keys. The NFC tag is programmed to automatically disable the wi-​fi on my phone, enable bluetooth and disable the screen time out. Upon doing this, I was expecting to hear the familiar chime from my phone, which lets me know that the NFC tag was recognized, the connection was made, and the commands were sent to my phone. I did not hear that familiar chime. Sure enough, none of what I had the NFC tag set to do happened on my phone. After trying to get the NFC tag to respond multiple times and verifying that I had NFC enabled on my phone, I came to realize that NFC on my phone was no longer working. This would explain why I was not able to use NFC to transfer my account from my temporary phone to my repaired phone.
I called Repair Xpert to report the problem and ask them what to do. I was told to bring the phone in. I brought the phone in the next day and spoke to the same employee who apparently did the actual repair of my phone. He said that he did not touch anything related to NFC in my phone. He claimed he only moved the motherboard from my phone to a new housing. I believe that he did not purposely do anything to my phone to break the NFC function. However, NFC was working when I brought the phone in (I used it in my car and to transfer my account to the temporary phone on the day I brought the phone in for repair). I asked what could be done to fix the problem. It was at this point that I knew I would never return to Repair Xpert in the future. Repair Xpert would do nothing to fix the problem they definitely caused. The technician who did the repair opened my phone in front of me and proceeded to show me that my phone at some point in its nearly 2 year long life in my possession experienced some water penetration (the tab that indicates water penetration was pink). The technician proceeded to tell me that because there was some water damage that they were not responsible for whatever was now broken with the NFC function. To me this claim of water damage was irrelevant because again, NFC was working just fine when I brought the phone in for repair. On top of this irrelevant claim of water damage absolving Repair Xpert from taking responsibility for a partially malfunctioning phone that was in their possession, water damage was not mentioned to me once when I originally went to pick up what I thought was a repaired phone. The technician claimed that he did not mention it on the work order because then I would have been charged for it. I find this type of behavior to be indicative of a cheat. Why would I not be told of water damage when I went to pick of the phone? The water damage that the technician showed me proof of became a most convenient and timely excuse for why I would not be able to hold Repair Xpert responsible for breaking the NFC function on my phone. I left Repair Xpert disappointed and angry about my experience.
Had Repair Xpert did the right thing and fixed the NFC function on my phone, free of charge, I would have written a five star review. Clearly, customer service is not important to Repair Xpert. Due to my poor experience with Repair Xpert I will never use their service again. If I am ever asked about who can repair phones and tablets in my local area, Repair Xpert will not get a recommendation from me.

I bought my new iPhone 6 right now and the guys in the store did the activation in 5 minutes, I’m in love with my new phone!!! t

Although my home button seems to be a little loose, this place was great for my phone. The man repaired it in 30 minutes just as he said he would. I also got a free screen protector with my repair. So happy to have no more cracks on my phone!

Once again these guys bailed me out. 7:30 at night, broken iPhone 5 screen and display. They fixed it in 20 minutes! Can’t say enough good things about them!

I brought my phone (iPhone 4s) to them and it was fixed in under an hour.

It started out with smashed display on my Galaxy S3. After a couple of hours the screen was fixed. The repair guy was helpful and informative. I liked the price and the convenient location.
After a couple of days the phone stopped working and I was beside myself. After returning to the store I had them evaluate the repair job. I came back and they said that it needs to be repaired and would cost about another $ 20 or so but the owner said he would make it right, needing to order a part for the second repair. I was skeptical since if it had been done right the first time I wouldn’t have needed to come back.
After taking a step back on this situation– that he is a sole proprietor and not a chain — that he has to keep his business running. I got that after I left the shop. So I waited a few days and dropped off the phone. Well the phone was repaired and the additional cost was minimal compared to buying a new phone at retail price. The repair guy said that the repair was not done right the first time. Now he’s human and that admission goes a long way to his (and the store’s) credibility and my return business. Happy ending to a situation that lasted over a week to get my phone repaired.
The repair price I felt was fair and I could have gone to Manhattan to get it repaired. Figuring in the convenient location and quickness of service I think this store is a great value. Add in the fact that they are able to serve the high Latino population in the area gives them major pluses.
(Note: I generally do not give out five stars unless I get lots of extras and they really exceed my expectations. They would get 4+ in my book.)

I had to fix my cracked iPhone screen.
Service was quick, convenient and most importantly trustworthy. They knew exactly what to do and my phone was fixed in no time.
Overall, the service was exceptional and I would recommend them to my friends and family.
Oh yeah, they have nice music while you wait as well. ;)

Excellent repair work is tainted by cheesy sale tactics and multiple reminders to leave a 5-​star Unilocal review. As you can tell, I don’t write too many reviews, but since they insisted, I felt it’d be proper to oblige.
I smashed the glass on my iphone 5 nearly beyond recognition. I was in and out in under 25 minutes with my phone looking brand new for $ 100, which could have been done for $ 90 if I wasn’t too lazy to print the promotional Unilocal coupon. 5-​stars for the repair! Incredibly fast and convenient for less money than my Asurrion (spelling?) insurance plan co-​pay would cost ($ 150)
During my wait, the two sales people working the counter tried to sell me headphones (good luck selling an audiophile some sparkly garbage), a portable micro ghetto blaster (again, good luck with that), and a myriad of phone cases. It just made the experience uncomfortable. I don’t like telling somebody «no» that many times. Also, it’s annoying answering questions about my tattoos and plugs, not endearing. Get over it, they’re not that cool and not that unique.
The amount of information they needed to take down to write me up a receipt seemed wildly unnecessary. Why do you need my address, email, service provider and phone number if I’m paying for a one-​time, non-​refundable repair in cash? The clerk did apologize for the long questionnaire, though.

These guys did a fantastic job fixing my phone. Good customer service, affordable rates and everything was done quickly. I definitely recommend them.

This place is fantastic! My sons phone was in another store for 5 wks. That store had no idea what was wrong with it. Took it here to Repair Xpert and it was fixed within 10 minutes, yes 10 minutes! They also took the time to answer some of my sons questions he had. Very nice people. I would recommend this store hands down.

The long term experience of the owners comes through clearly. They know how to fix a phone. They know what to expect when they take a phone apart. They also will do the little things like clean up the interior and exterior of the phone before returning it to you.
I admit to being hesitant to have my cracked Samsung Nexus Galaxy repaired. I thought what if these guys cannot put my phone back together. My nervousness was clearly misplaced.
As an aside they are also very pleasant people. I found myself staying and talking with them even after my phone was fixed and paid for.

Repair Xpert is a great place. For quick turnaround on repairs and excellent work on top of that, this is the place to go.

Two for effort. Originally I gave 5 stars, but after my screen repair, my phone was inaudible. I took it back and a genuine effort was made to correct the problem, but no solution could be found. I was offered a free Bluetooth headset for compensation, but I don’t use them and I wasn’t interested in free stuff, just a phone I could talk on.
After all attempts failed the manager (I assume) tried to suggest that the case I’ve had for the last 8 months was the problem, even though the only thing that had changed was the screen. He suggested maybe glass had somehow gotten lodged in there and was blocking the sound. I didn’t get it either. He told me it couldn’t possibly be the replacement part as only one company manufactures all the iphone 5 screens. As it turns out, there are 3 companies (Japan Display, Sharp, and LG) and defects have been documented from time to time (see google). He didn’t want to try a different screen as they are too expensive, and he couldn’t afford to take the hit. I guess I can sympathize as I paid over $ 130 for a replacement screen that can’t emit sound through my case.
After I was left with a phone that I couldn’t use, I asked for a refund and my broken screen back. The manager said no to both and said it was my case ($ 100 otter box) that was the problem, even though it was the same case I had coming into the store. He did offer me some suggestions; he said I could try to buy another otter box and bring it in to see if the problem persist or take it another place, pay more money and see what they had to say.
I give one star for the business practice. I’m sure they’re technically skilled, but essentially I went in with a broken screen and left with a phone I can’t hear, and management said that the cost was on me, the customer. So, if all goes well, you’ll probably be ok bringing your phone here; however, if there’s an issue, management says it’s your risk. Wish I knew ahead of time. Beware. There is a warrantee, but warrantees are only as good as the people honoring them (or not).
I gave the second star because the person I worked with initially tried to do the right thing, but clearly wasn’t running the show, so he was limited as to what help he could give.

iPhone repairs were very quick and effective. I brought my phone in and they were able to turn it around in 30 minutes. I was from out of town and they were a huge help.
Would definitely recommend!

I promised these guys I’d write a review and I am thrilled to do so. I mutilated my S3 and actually started the process of comparing prices on buying a new phone outright or cancelling with Sprint and moving to another provider to get a new S3 (or S4).
As a last ditch effort, I called three places in the area who claim to fix phones. One was a frigging barbershop in New Rochelle, another was in Elmsford but the dude who answered the phone spoke barely any English, and then there was Repairxpert. They won the sweepstakes.
My phone was fixed in four days (Which is fine since I thought it was totalled) at a fair price. $ 200 is a lot to spend on a repair but look up the repair kit; it cost only a little bit less and the repair is not as easy as the YouTube videos make it seem.
All in all, a true joy to deal with them and I hope that if I ever see them again, it is because I am buying something new, not because I am a moron who drops my phone once a day.
