Meet the Business Owner

Joseph K.

Business Owner

Joe has been in practice since receiving his Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from Hahnemann University in 1994. Joe’s work has focused on motor learning and motor development in children. He has published articles in the Pediatric Physical Therapy Journal regarding fetal alcohol syndrome and cerebral palsy. Joe did his Internship at Georgetown University Child Development Center and was a senior pediatric therapist at United Cerebral Palsy before starting his own practice in Westchester. His drive behind opening a pediatric center is how motivated the kids were when receiving «therapy» in places other than their homes which they looked at as fun places. Developmental Steps is that «Fun» Place. Joe loves helping kids find a way to «Do» something through a strategy, practice, or making it plain old fun. Joe enjoys playing with his kids, going on bike rides, or hikes, skiing/​snowboarding and going to Montauk. Joe currently lives in Katonah with his wife and 2 children.
