i used to eat here regularly but drifted away in favor of other places. I recently came back and was pretty disappointed. The food was very ordinary and portions small while the prices have gone up up up. I had the chicken fajitas and the chicken had a lot of grizzle. The husband had bistec ranchero and thought that the flavor was very good but that the meat was a little tough. In addition, our food was just lukewarm. After having such good experiences here years ago, I’ll give it another try and hopefully can increase my stars but for now, step it up Coyote Flaco. You can do better.

Absolutely horrible. Horrible service. Horrible food. Our meals took FOREVER. Finally after 30 minutes they delivered only the meals for my husband and I. They forgot ALLTHREE of our kids’ meals. No apologies. Nobody even looked like they cared. We felt like we were held hostage! I had veggie enchiladas suizas. They were filled with birds eye frozen vegetables. The rest of the meals were just OK. it was a beautiful evening, which was the only highlight. We sat outside. When I was half way through my meal, a bird pooped on my plate! That pretty much says it all. Our advice: stay the Flaco away! PS I have to give it one star or Unilocal won’t let me post this. Otherwise it would get ZERO.

Highly recommend! My husband and I went to Coyote Flaco for dinner last night and it just turned into one of our favorite restaurants! I wasn’t sure when I first arrived but from the moment our drinks came out we were at ease. Honestly, I have gone to restaurants that screw up drinks and it sets a bad precedent for the rest of the meal. The sangria was great and half of the glass got me tipsy… That’s some good sangria! My husband loves iced tea and they made there’s fresh and perfect. We split chicken fajitas and the appetizer nacho deluxe… DELICIOUS! We will be back again and again! Next time we will sit outside on there patio. Perfect for a nice summer night!

It was Cinco De Mayo and more importantly to us than drinking ourselves under the table at a Mexican bar, we wanted good Tex-Mex food, and we found it! All I can say is YUMMY! We ordered simple foods like chicken nachos and fajitas. It was simply delicious! The best nachos I’ve ever had, seasoned refried pinto beans, well seasoned chicken over round locally made tortilla disks topped with wonderfully melted cheese served with traditional cream and banging(yes, I said banging) guacamole. The fajitas?! De’friggin’licious forget about it!(Hey I’m a New Yorker). We ordered the trio; chicken, shrimp and steak. Listen to me folks… the steak, oh boy! tender, juicy, well seasoned and the other selections followed suit. …ohhhhh wait a minute did I mention the Margaritas??? Va-va-va-voom! Passion fruit Margarita on the rocks no salt. I ordered 3 –_– #noregrets. All I can say is… I went back the next day… I know, I’m headed to the gym… give this place a try, grab a car, an Über, a zip, a rail ride… what ever but trust me you will not be disappointed. This family owned mama is still in the kitchen Cali style Tex-Mex restaurant, you will not forget or regret. Sorry no pics? I was busy eating. ;)

Been eating here for last decade and always awesome. They seem to be cutting corners lately. Chicken was was disgusting. It’s a shame. They took a great pace to a mediocre place

I had to ask for salsa 4 times before I got it, the food was passable at best and compared to the rest of the Mexican & southwestern restaurants in the area I consider it very poor… don’t waste your money.

Used Unilocal to find this while en route to the airport. The drinks were good and strong, and the enchilladas were very tasty and nicely presented. My wife ordered the steak, which she said was good, but the quality of beef could have been better for the money. This place is NOT fancy, but has an outdoor patio, which was why we chose it. Stick to the Mexican Combos and drinks.

Not as good as expected. Cute outside cantina dining. We had tacos(nice sized) chick fajitas and the garlic shrimp. Wait staff attentive. Will try again but definitely had better. Bar taco while not really tex mex is much fresher

I always hear people saying this place isn’t as good as it used to be… I disagree. I got take out twice last month for the first time in years and it was delicious. The chips/salsa, enchilada, and burrito were all excellent. Quality ingredients throughout.

I absolutely love this place. It is quaint with outdoor seating and a very home like feeling. Food is absolutely delicious and so are the margaritas! My husband and I make an annual Cinco de Mayo trip, and I look forward to it every year. Anytime were nearby, I make the effort to stop in. If you haven’t tried it, go and try it! I am super excited to go tonight!

A-mazing food, great price, nice service and never crowded. It is tucked away on a busy street but if you find it or someone makes the recommendation, go, it is worth it.

First of all, we haven’t been here in a few months, so the bf and I were hyped up for some yummy mexican food for dinner. It’s not the same experience as before– our margaritas were watered down, the entrees were definitely smaller and not as good as before and they got my order wrong! I hate sending food back because I’m too paranoid– I never order chimichangas since they’re deep fried. They gave me one anyway, which was definitely a mistake because I ordered a burrito. $ 54 dollars later, not including tip, we both left feeling underwhelmed and disappointed.

I love Flaco. I have been eating there for years(10+ at this point) and it’s always good. It’s authentic, delicious and simple. The nachos are some of my favorites — they aren’t a pile of food with melted cheese, like most American Mexican places serve. They are individual;y built and so good! A must try in Po Cho.

The chips are stale. They don’t have empanadas or taquitos. We sent back the frozen margaritas that tasted like neither lime or tequilla. So far, regretting this lunch choice. End up getting enchiladas. Run of the mill standard — nothing exciting. The guacamole was passable and the dude liked the refried beans. The margarita on the rocks was just okay.

Nice little cantina style restaurant with a take-out window. Chile Relleno is a dish that I used to benchmark Mexican eating establishments. They do a good job here. The nachos are served in a very good but different way. Flaco nachos are served on a small tortilla and is similar to a tostada. — different and good. Have had good experience with their tacos too. Flaco is on the edge of Port Chester so easier to reach and it has its own parking lot.

If you are not looking for this place it can be easily rolled by. I will consider it a treasure of Port Chester. With so many Mexican options Coyote Flaco offers a no frill, great food experience. The service is always quick and great. The waiters seems like there are family and can offer suggestions if nothing pops at you. The drinks are big and strong. I would suggest getting the pitcher of Margaritas, they come in your choice of tequila: well, house, top-shelf. The prices are right as you can have a drink two entrees and at around $ 35 bucks. Great place to go on a date or with a group.

This place has quickly become my favorite Mexican place. My girlfriend and I eat in or take out at least once a week, and they never disappoint. Granted, we stick to our favorites(enchilada suizas — beef for me, cheese and/or veggie for her), but a lot of their other food is great too. Great entrée-style burritos, solid quesadillas, and an interesting tortilla soup. Great margaritas. Awesome salsa. To be fair, as others have said, some nights the chips are fresher than others. They are very inexpensive, and if you do takeout, it’s even cheaper. We do takeout for two regularly and it is just over $ 20. Their food tastes authentic. I have eaten at many other Mexican places in and around Port Chester. One may have tasted more authentic, one may have been from locally sourced ingredients, but all of them make me miss Flaco. For reference, I have eaten Mexican food in many places, including several regions of Mexico, NYC, and California. Many of them very good, but I’m happy to have such a great and reliable local joint.

Went here because we saw it was the highest rated Mexican food in Westchester County. Being in Portchester, I figured it would be an authentic hole in the wall place(does this sound prejudice? oops). It was in fact a tiny hole in the wall place. It had great salsa and chips though and our meals were really good as well. I could see an outdoor patio, so I’m betting this is a good summer place to have drinks and hang out. Overall this place was good. Inexpensive and decent food. Just don’t go expecting décor and ambiance.

Better than the average Mexican spot. The service was friendly, though it helped that we went with someone who spoke Spanish fluently. Margaritas were great, food was good, and the outside space was a great spot for all 7 of us. I had the chimichanga/enchilada suizas combo and my dish was clean by the end of the meal. I typically prefer a fancier suiza(if that make sense to say)…A thicker, creamier verde sauce, but this was still tasty. We frequent shows at the Capital theater and will come back here for a Mexican fix.

I honestly don’t want to give them 1 star! I love Mexican food it’s actually my favorite food & I must say this gets 5 thumbs down! Eww! I had the enchiladas verdes(green enchiladas) & I primarily eat the same thing at every Mexican restaurant I go to and this had to b the worse! I got 1 chicken 1 beef and the sauce they use taste like something out of a can. Marinara maybe? Eww! Come on now they really tried it with this one! Eww again! Lol. I will not be returning!
