An Island restaurant that serves home cooked food at fast food speed. We seat about 40 people and provide catering for any special event. Come in to taste our Caribbean cuisine. Many dishes are cooked with curry, browning, etc and include Chicken, Oxtail, Shrimp, Goat, Fish and so much more served with rice and peas; white rice and vegetables.

Golden Krust was started as a bakery selling patties that are made with ingredients that caused it to appear golden when baked, that’s where the company name came from. But was later expanded to include food. While we offer about 5 main patties we are continuing to grow and have started to add more varieties everyday.

History

Established in 2006.

Golden Krust Port Charlotte was first established in 2006. We have recently moved to our new location in Village Market Place Shopping Center and had our grand opening in November 2015. This is one of many locations.

In 1989, Lowell, President and CEO along with his family, pooled all their resources to open the first Golden Krust Caribbean retail bakery location in Bronx, NY. By 1996 they owned 17 Caribbean Restaurants throughout New York City. The business became so successful that the Hawthorne’s were encouraged to create franchises.

Today, Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery & Grill operates a chain of over 100 Restaurants in nine states (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Florida, Maryland, North Carolina and Massachusetts).

We offer freshly made Caribbean meals, bread, patties, wraps, cakes, buns and juices.
