They have the best wings in town! Staff is postive, quick and fun! Layed back chill atmosphere.

Bathrooms were disgusting and barely functional. Do not ever ever ever order the wings fried. All I could taste was old stale cooking oil which the bland wings were swimming in. Couldn’t find the chicken under the breading. There was a centimeter of grease at the bottom of the basket. First and last time there.

What’s not to like about Karaōke, $.50 Wings and«Bottom Feeders» on a Thursday night? We recently tried Gatorz in Punta Gorda. It’s a great hangout to catch a game, a bite and a beer. They had a wide variety of items to choose from on their menu from including a number of salads, wraps, sandwiches and burgers. We tried the wings which we had naked(no breading) and they were cooked slightly crispy and tossed in a buffalo sauce. The burgers were hand packed and freshly ground and you could taste it. We found the wait staff to be friendly and attentive. All the food was was freshly prepared. One funny item to share. Someone in our party ordered the grilled fish sandwich, which by-the-way he thoroughly enjoyed. After we were done eating, we asked what kind of fish it was on the sandwich. We were told it was Swai. Personally, I would have asked what kind of fish it was prior to ordering it. The waitress told us it was a bottom feeder like a catfish but did not know exactly where it was from, only that is was not a local Florida catch. I’m not sure that«bottom feeder» would be my choice of words to describe a fish that someone just ate, but I appreciated her honesty and we all got a good laugh. We had to Google it when we got home to learn that’s a fish from Asia similar to a catfish. It seems to be popular lately with many restaurants. It would be nice to see a fresh local Florida catch on the menu instead but I’m sure it more than double the cost of the fish sandwich. Anyhow, we enjoyed Gatorz and the food was good, go check it out.

stop. beware. service was absolutely horrific. granted the waitress told us it was her second day but she should have been on the floor alone. out of oinion rings and would not substitute french fries. later asked for jalapeño poppers. of course out. normally wouldn’t complained about a strong drink but ordered a long island ice tea and it was straight alcohol. gagged it down and some how the hole experience seemed better. just a tourist dive. could be alot better. live music. wings were good. great environment.

Cold beer that is all I can say. Dirty, and low grade food.

Drinks were good. The fried apps are good but they don’t know how to make a good burger or sliders though. Definitely prepackaged meat. The server was always around to get us what ever we needed.

This is the place for wings in SW Florida. I was craving wings and they did not disappoint! A ton of different types and can get them naked which is the only way a good wing should be served. Sat inside and had great service. Go if your looking for good wings and drinks!

Horrible service told manager that wings were cold when we got them and he refused to do anything. Wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy.

Ummm, Awesome! Experience was great, live music, great service and read reviews of the«best paddy melt ever». My dad had it and definitely agreed it was awesome. While reading the menu of fantastic food I couldn’t decide. I came across a Fish Ruben. Ummm not sure about that… Asked the waitress about it and she stated no one has ever complained. It was definitely AWESOME! I had lithe fish blackened. Definitely recommend it! The fries were decent but the drinks were cold! If it wasn’t raining it would have been perfect!

Cool open air bar. It’s a dive but fun people and the best patty melt I have ever had! I just stopped here randomly… but from the outside it looks like a beachside bar. Where are the gators though!?!

After reading the negative reviews on here I decided to ignore them and give Gatorz a shot. Came down to Port Charlotte on vacation and heard Gatorz was the place to go when it came to wings. Marissa was our server and she was amazing, fast drinks and kept up on us the entire visit. The wings are awesome naked with crispy skins and even though hot wasn’t as hot as some would like, I loved them. The side salads were great and the beer was cold. I didn’t mind the plastic cup with it being a bar and all, I am sure if I asked for a glass they would have given me one. I would be back in a heartbeat, I also heard they are under new ownership.

Marissa was our waitress. We are from out of town and came on a wing night when wings were ½ price so it was packed. She was phenomenal! Service was quick and the food was amazing. Cold beer, great wings, great service. Can not wait to come back!

I’ve lived in Port Charlotte 4 years. This is the first time I have visited Gatorz. This place is always packed and now I know why. The atmosphere is great. It is very laid back. There is live music on a Tuesday. Tuesday is also 40 cent wing night. We had a pitcher of Stella, potato skins, wings and, our waitress, Caitlyn, recommended the shrimp tacos. We came rather late, so it wasn’t too busy, but still very busy for 8:45 on a Tuesday. The food came out hot, and under 20 minutes. It was delicious and her recommendation was spot on. We were very pleased with the food and the service. We will definitely be back soon!

Horrible service with attitude, the wings are bland nothing special. We had ordered wings to go yesterday and I had accidentally hung up, I called back she hung up, I call again and I could hear the other waitresses behind her and it sounded like she hung up on purpose and sounded really snide. When my husband went in to get the order a different girl gave him an attitude and sent him off. The wings were not very good the«hot» wings weren’t hot at all. The flavors are very bland for the garlic and teriyaki wings. They were way better before like 3 years ago.

We thought we would try this out as we were shopping in the area. We will not go back. The service was poor and the food was not good. The waitress never came back to refill drinks or see if we needed anything else. I actually had to go find someone so we could get the bill as we wanted to leave. When I walked up to the hostess desk to find someone, she was texting on her cell… not professional. There were little bugs buzzing around the plate as I was trying to eat which just finished it for me. The food was extremely salty. Just not our kind of place at all.

We have passed Gatorz several times saying we need to drop in the next time. Well, this was the next time. We were in the mood for a dive bar, tiki style, and from the road, Gatorz appeared to fit the bill. We were not disappointed. The parking lot was full of Harleys sporting flags of Norway. Our Mazda 6 looked perfectly out of place as we carefully pulled into one of the few available parking spaces! The live music at the outdoor bar was a bit too loud for our taste so we grabbed a table inside. Our waitress, Tamara, was very pleasant, quickly bringing our drinks and filling us in on the menu. Great prices as well… $ 2.60 for a 16-ounce draft beer and $ 3.35 bloody marys. We chose a Patty Melt and Gator Bites(grilled option) and a couple of side salads. At first we thought the salads were overpriced, but when Tamara delivered them we could see why the $ 4 price tag. Huge plates with plenty of olives, cheese and so much more! The Patty Melt was definitely one of the best we have had. Ooey-Gooey and the bread was grilled to perfection — just enough crunch and not burnt. The Gator Bites were plentiful and the sauce had a little kick to it. Very good, but not great. About 80% of the bites were of the proper tenderness. A couple of them were chewy and had to be cut into very small pieces. Definitely on our comeback list.
