Best donuts ever! Be sure to try the apple fritter and the coconut cream pie donut! So yummy!

These are the best donuts and apple fritters I’ve ever had. Actually if you have any issues with weight gain… stay away because you will dream about these apple fritters.

The apple fritters are mind blowing good and worth every last calorie. I don’t even care that I need to work out for 15 hours just to make up for half of one of these. One of the best pastries I have ever had!

Best apple fritters 2 locations I live near the Port Charlotte one and prefer this location over Northport because the wait is not as long but still a wait. I go up at 5 am sometimes to surprise my hubby with a apple fritter and people are waiting. All the doughnuts are fresh and warm. The only thing I can say I don’t care for is cash only but I get why they do it. If they start using credit prices will be passed on to the customers. So I’m willing to stop at the bank and get cash let’s support our small local business people. Id hate for this one to close

Great donuts, good sized, fair prices, will customize a donut for you. Cash only. Always busy anytime I’ve stopped in. Can’t find good donuts everywhere, and often not a chocolate cream — especially one that tastes so good! Get there early to get your favorites. I am not an apple fritter eater but they seem to be known for them, they are huge and actually look delicious.

Unilocalers need to be aware that this is a cash only location. Get there early is there is always a line out the door for people in the area grabbing breakfast for their families. Cool location with a variety of donuts and even offer a daily special which this time was a peanut butter and jelly donut. Definitely will stop back again. But again remember cash only!

Read about this donut shop in the paper so decided to check it out one Saturday. Helpful staff, cash only and delicious donuts – over the weekend I tried 3 flavors: lemon, cruller and cake – all were equally delicious. Tables available for you to sit and have coffee, tea and donuts but the area was crowded not with people sitting and eating but in line for take out. Will visit again.

Amazing donuts. Had a jelly filled that actually had more than a dollop. Very fresh. Hubby had orange flavored cake. Delish.

Wow! Clearly not a place that’s looking for new customers. RUDE would be an understatement. Your donuts aren’t labeled, so don’t be put off when a new customer asks what the favors are. So sorry to annoy you with questions and a purchase. I’ll be sure to never do that again.

First… this is a cash only business, so do not come with only plastic in your wallet. Thankfully I had a few bucks because I would have missed out on this deliciousness! Kids had chocolate glazed with sprinkles and loved them. I had 1 apple fritter and that was all I could take. It was so good! Very dense, a bit oily, yummy glaze and actual slices of apple. Had the heft of a boat anchor :) So, brave the construction and find Abbé’s on the south end of the plaza. So only four stars because I wish they took debit, but bring cash and you will not leave disappointed.

Love love love their donuts. I get a fresh mixed dozen for the girls at wok and they are gone in no time. Also the cinnamon rolls and apple pastries are big enough for two people to split, if you’ll let them ;) people are always so friendly. I really can’t recommend enough. Go, it’s worth carrying cash for change.

There are very few times in a life when you can say that was the best I ever had. Today I had the best apple fritter ever at Abbé’s Donut Nook. If you are nearby, do yourself a favor and stop in.

Yes!!! This was real deal, high-quality, no frills donut shop. Totally set back in a shopping center you’d zoom past if you weren’t looking for it. The girl at the counter(possibly an owner) was just as friendly as can be and even offered to fill custom donuts(despite the growing line behind us!). An employee(presumably the owner?) offered cut up pieces of a cake donut fresh out of the fryer to those waiting in line and it was divine. We heard the apple fritters are amazing, so we’ll have to go back when we’re in the area.

Looking at ABBE’s sight on Unilocal it appears it has been hacked! Someone has removed the more than forty reviews that were posted!!! Unilocal in the responsibility of how they manage their site needs to correct this. Cork snowbird from Michigan

Great! Parents have a house in North Port ad every time we escape the North and come to Florida we make stops here. What can I say, always beyond friendly staff, informative– and the donuts… let’s just say, nothing short of an addiction. The Apple Fritter is literally to-die-for, and the specialty donut this time(carrot cake) was simply a delight. They are all fantastic. Keep it up!

Definitely a nice little donut shop! We bought a half dozen. The Bavarian/Boston cream filled donut was amazing. The angel cream filled donut was really sweet, almost too sweet. The crueller was perfect as were the traditional frosted donuts. The coffee was good as well. We ordered a small, and I was a bit surprised that it was served in a little Styrofoam cup(think of the little flimsy cups you’d get in a church fellowship hall). There’s a nice seating area inside, and you might have a snowbird or two strike a conversation up with you while you’re there! Definitely glad I stopped by.
