OK maybe it was a bad day and one of the coolers was out, but the reeking stench emanating from that store in late August was almost unbearable. On the plus side they do make great pizza’s. I’ve had them in the winter. The cheeseburger pie is excellent.

Not a lot to review from a liquor store, but I visited them a few times over our week in the thumb. Obviously the location right down the road from our cottage was a key reason to visit. Overall they had a good selection of beer and lots of little amenities available for whatever you might need, even for nearly Labor Day they were pretty well stocked. For me the thing that stuck out was the clerk. She was incredibly friendly talkative and just in general a nice person. I personally don’t frequent a lot of liquor stores, but I’d expect the clerks to not be of the friendliest type, however the one at Oak Beach Pantry was incredibly friendly and made it a pleasure to stop and get a couple of items.

I was staying nearby and had read the overwhelmingly positive reviews about this place’s pizza and really wanted to give it a try. My first attempt I think I came in at 130 on a Friday and they didn’t have any dough ready and I was told to come back in 2 hours. The crew and I were pretty hungry so that wasn’t going to work so I came back the next day and ordered a large pepperoni and a large bread. Unfortunately they didn’t have their ovens on so they told me it would be about an hour if I wanted to come back. No problem… waiting for good pizza is good by me. I came back and picked up the pie and the bread and took it back to headquarters and snapped a few pics before the natives got into it. You probably can’t tell but the bread was bigger than the pizza and it was awesome. Lotsa cheese and a cup of sauce to go with it. The pizza was great too but could’ve used a lot more cheese. They skimped a lot! Their sauce is a more watery sauce so if the pizza is still really hot you might lose all your toppings but it tasted fresh and I liked it. The service here was a little, well I’ll just say odd, as if I was an outsider or something. I didn’t really get the warm and fuzzies either time I was here except when my pizza finally came up and the dude working came and let me know while I was sitting in my ride. I also get the sense that they don’t do a lot of pizza business earlier in the day since both times they weren’t ready to take orders. It’s probably a good idea to call ahead if you have service to do so but the pie is worth a try for sure.

Definitely the best kept secret! We were camping at Sleeper State Park and had a pizza craving. We pulled up Unilocal and searched for close pizza. We came across Oak Beach Pantry and Pizza. We have driven by loads of times and just thought it was another party store. We were wrong!!! The pizza was fabulous! We followed the recommendation of another Unilocal review and ordered the Cheeseburger pizza and a Cheesebread! The pizza was amazing– so unique and tasty. The crust was perfectly chewy and cooked to perfection! The Cheesebread was delicious as well with the perfect amount of cheese and garlic! We ordered a large bread and barely put a dent in it– hello midnight snack!

I must say I have been going here for years and I don’t often write updates to my reviews but when I do this is why… I went in here last week to get some Ice cream with the kiddos and I was a dollar short, The guy tells me don’t worry about it! I told him I promise I will be there in the AM to give him his dollar. He just smiled, Thinking i am some young city girl who doesn’t understand the good honest up north values. I was there with my dollar and a Thank you. more people need to be like this man was. Yes it was just a dollar but now in days no one gives you a break and he did. Thank you man behind the counter. and your ice cream was yummy too!

The rudest clerk I’ve ever encountered. I picked up a Free Press and she screamed at me «that’s reserved». Keep your paper lady.

friendly service. Have not tried their pizza yet, but will order next time. The owner said call ahead when I’m in town and he’ll order any type of liquor or beer I need for entertaining. This is a liquor/beer store with a few other items for campers and locals. They do however have pizza and sandwiches made to order.
