Just ate here today. I wish I could’ve been here sooner! The menu looks incredible. We ended up getting the Sweet and Spicy chicken and Sweet and Spicy Meatball pizza(½ and ½). The best was the Sweet and Spicy chicken but the meatball wasn’t bad either. The guys in there, I think father and son, are super nice and helpful. Can’t wait to be back to try their Chicken club pizza!

Pizza is better than average but better options exist, Can’t speak to their Mexican food.

Good flat New York Style pizza. They also offer Mexican food. I’m not a fan of ethnic combo restaurants. I can’t speak for the Mexican, but the pizza I would recommend. A reasonably ine, pensive lunch stop. Great character of antique décor. Almost man cave style.

Van goes does have really good pizza, but its been about 2 years since I had really good pizza from there. and that was at the very first Wicked Racing event. Since then I stopped in to buy some pizza slices for lunch on the go and one time i got put off so the girl at the counter could finish straightening her hair… I was furious. One time they sold me cold pizza and it was NASTY not to mention it had potentially hazardous foods on it(Sausage and meatballs) which can give people e coli and other food borne illnesses. They need a good… attitude…adjustment…

Van Goes is one of those little jewels you find that is out of the way but by far exceeds your expectations. I live and work in PA and have been bitterly disappointed with the other pizza places in town. I remember the first impression I had was how«cool» this place was. From the wild artwork to the alternative magazines inside, I checked the door to make sure I wasn’t whisked away through some space/time portal to some urban college campus. The owner is very cool and I picked out a slice for lunch that he recommended because of the linguica(the better pepperoni). I dare you to find another pizza place on the peninsula that has linguica! The pizzas are amazing, the tomales are amazing … this is just a very cool place. Also by serving take and bake he also takes EBT cards which I think is an awesome benefit for some. And this gets me to my last comment on the fact that the owner cares about the community. I have heard stories where he has helped out other pizza stores by loaning«skins» because they were out before a big weekend. The other day he also cut me a deal on 6 pizzas because I was holding a non-profit event for kids. He gets it … and that’s why I want to support him back. You won’t be disappointed!

It’s been a long, hard, search. But I believe I’ve found the best pizza in Port Angeles. I have yet to order a specialty or custom pizza that wasn’t delicious. The restaurant portion is small but is decorated with a fun, eclectic theme. Sadly, they don’t offer delivery, but this pizza is worth getting up off your butt for.

We are staying at a vacation rental and the owners suggested Van Goes as a great pizza place. We should have taken a hint from the menu. They have lots of «specialty» pizzas. It was hard even to find a plain ol pizza… like a pepperoni or sausage. So their main pizzas may be totally amazing. But I was raised on New York and Chicago style pizza where the main ingredients were sausage, pepperoni, onions, green pepper, mushrooms with cheese and tomato sauce. So we ordered a «make your own» pizza with most of those ingredients. It was ok… barely good. It tasted a lot like tomato paste, so I think it was short some spices. The crust was ok and kind of a cross between thin pan crust and spongy thick crust… again just ok. They also use cheddar cheese in many of their pizzas. Noooooooooooo! So if we get another pizza out here we will probably try another place. BUT if you like your pizza’s with shrimp, BBQ chicken, crab, artichoke hearts, garlic chicken, sweet curry sauce, etc… they may be great?

This pizza was surprisingly good. Surprisingly because I’m from Chicago and didn’t expect to find any good pizza here! Have only done takeout, but both bake-your-own and baked were more than satisfactory.

Try the Greek Pizza with chicken. One of my favorites! They will cook the pizza for you. A little more expensive than other take and bakes, but the pizza’s are big, and it’s worth the few extra you will spend. The pan of beef enchalada’s and tamales are good, especially with the green sauce.
