The team at BHS is the best company that I’ve ever worked with. Very professional and great customer service. Craig and the team were very responsive via emails and phone. The workers are also very dedicated, thorough, and friendly.
I wish I had found them much earlier.

I’ve used BHS a few times for painting and cosmetic repairs. They do a great job — friendly, professional, and responsive. What’s best is they maintain that throughout and even after the project. I asked for a couple minor touch-​ups after they finished a recent project, and they came out immediately /​next day and fixed things up. I’d definitely recommend them.

Spent a lot of time searching for a contractor, getting quotes, etc and glad to have found these guys. My project was probably a smaller one by most standards, but it never felt like they treated it any differently than they would a major project, which I appreciated. They were responsive with communication, outlined in good detail all the work and pricing, and were very professional throughout the whole process.
The work performed was exceptional and beyond expectation. I am already planning to hire these guys again to perform future (larger) projects I have planned. As one reviewer mentioned, it was like having your buddies over to help you out. Start to finish, this was probably the best experience I’ve ever had dealing with a contracting company. I am one of those individuals who over researches «everything»… I settled on BHS after talking to Andrew on two separate occasions. I interviewed 4 other contractors and BHS was by far the easiest to deal with. I am very pleased with their work, they came back a couple times to fix small problems and were always pleasant to work with. They tackled a massive drywall job on tall vaulted ceilings without hesitation.
As with all projects there are always some hiccups, but any issues were dealt with in a professional manner and Andrew, Craig and their support personnel were quick to respond.
I am now in the process of taking on a larger project with BHS and can only hope it goes as well. I don’t bother to post positive reviews that often but this one is well deserved.

Amazing job! Beautiful Home Services made my garage look PRETTY. I first met with Andrew and signed the contract. They replaced some drywall and a few pieces of insulation due to one of my copper water pipes breaking – a water pipe that leads to one of my outside hose bibbs. I completed all the right steps on the other hose bibb (no leaks there), but I never opened the vacuum breaker on one of the hose bibbs; the end result was the pipe freezing. Maybe it was meant to be because I ended up doing a project that I’ve wanted to do for years – to make my garage look less depressing and to install attic stairs; it looked terrible before Beautiful Home Services came to the rescue.
The BHS team did a SUPER JOB! I realize that it’s just a garage, but it’s MY garage. I told Andrew that I wanted it to look pretty. He said that on a scale of 1 to 10, it would be an 8. Keep in mind that we’re talking about my garage, not the interior of my home; I would hope that 10 would be the result for a home’s interior.
Jose #l helped me select the paint. Antonio, Jose #2 and Osmin did the work, securing drywall, re-​taping the seams, lots of spackling, painting and installing attic stairs. I believe Antonio was the leader of the work team, but all of them did a superb job. There were some difficult seams to work with, and the end result was way above my expectations.
Andrew was WRONG; the job rating isn’t 8; the rating is ABOVE 10. I couldn’t be more pleased with this job. Through the years, I have hired various contractors; some of them, I had to spend the entire time supervising those other contractors to make sure they did what they were supposed to do. With BHS, I never felt the need to do that; I stayed out of their way.
With the amount of spackling they did, I knew there would be a lot of dust because spackling has to get sanded. However, Andrew told me that there would be dust. Don’t be alarmed if your asphalt driveway is covered in white footprints as mine was; rain easily washed away the spackling. When I visited the garage each evening during this 3-​day job, I put food storage bags over my shoes so I wouldn’t track dust into my house.
The team left my garage cleaner than it was before they started this project. There was no dust left anywhere in my garage; They were very careful with the painting and covered the concrete slab and also covered the items that I had to leave in the garage; I did remove as much stuff as I could.
Frankly, from my past experiences with some contractors, I felt like I might as well tape the Yellow Pages to a dart board and where the dart landed, I would hire that company because I felt like superior work didn’t exist. I’m thankful that I didn’t play the dart game.
This time, I searched extensively for the right contractor. I was all over the internet and read an enormous amount of great reviews on BHS; I have memberships in four different sites where I read most of the reviews on BHS.
My choice: BEAUTIFUL HOME SERVICES!!! I will be hiring them again.

We were thrilled by the work Beautiful Home Services did on our home. They repaired and painted our dining room, installed crown molding in our dining room and living room as well as some other painting. From start to finish the communication was excellent and Andrew provided great advice and guidance along the way. We felt very comfortable with the team who came to do the work — they were professional, courteous, very attentive to detail and went the extra mile in cleaning up and making sure we were completely satisfied. The work that BHS did was top notch, but the price was significantly less than other quotes we received. We’re so happy we went with Beautiful Home Services and suggest that you do the same.

Finally, a contracting company that isn’t totally shady! Working with Andrew and Craig is pretty much like hiring your buddies from high school to come help you out with a few projects (as long as your high school friends turned out honest and successful). They’re versatile but won’t do just any job, knowing that it’s better to specialize and do things exceptionally well versus pretending they can handle anything. Ask them to do something that’s not in their usual repertoire and Andrew will truthfully say that his price will be higher than a company that typically specializes in that job and that he can offer you a referral instead.
Andrew is communicative throughout the sales process, following up on his promised estimates and other deliverables; Craig is candid and helpful with specific recommendations. The crew is so incredibly efficient that I marveled they were able to finish a project that I assumed would take 5 days in just 2. They stuck it out as long as it took on the second day, making sure the details were completed to my satisfaction. They were also extremely appreciative when I gave them cold drinks and lunch (consider doing it for them, and all your contractors, too — they work insanely hard). I now have an additional list of projects for Andrew to send me estimates for and, for the first time, I feel thoroughly confident I can work with a contractor twice in a row and not be swindled or otherwise taken advantage of. You will love doing business with BHS.

These guys are top notch! After another contractor completely messed up our kitchen renovation, BHS came to the rescue to fix all the issues the old contractor left behind. This included resizing and reframing a door inconveniently located in the kitchen in manner that wouldn’t allow our new appliances (which the old contractor said would fit «no problem»). If you want you job done right, fast, economically and with the best customer service I have ever received from a contractor– this is your business to use! I cannot say enough to about BHS– thank you Craig and Andrew!

This was our second experience with BHS. We will continue to use them because it is SO hard to find a company with fair prices that you can trust. I can honestly say I have no concerns or complaints with any of the work done and don’t feel anyone could have done better for a better price. We have referred them to others and will continue to. Hope to use them again in the future. As someone who spent months getting estimates for fair prices and dealing with my husband’s very picky attention to detail, I can save you a lot of time by trusting you’re making the right decision with BHS. Just top notch, all around!

Overall, I am satisfied with the job that BHS did to our home. We had hired them for a paint job (pretty much in the whole house), electrical work (to install recess lights), and some other minor things. The colors came out beautiful and the recess lights came out wonderfully. They were able to complete the job quicker than we expected — all within 2 weeks.
We only had a couple of minor problems –We had a recess light that wasn’t fixed the day they expected full payment from us. Jose from BHS came out to do a walkthrough with us, but there was still a light bulb that wasn’t fixed in our dining room. We had raised the concern earlier, hoping that Jose could fix it the same day. But all he came for was the payment and we had to schedule another day for them to come back to fix the light. Another issue was we provided the house pretty much near empty to BHS. There was one figurine that we still kept in the house and it wasn’t on the edge of any counters. When we came back to the house to check on occasion, we didn’t see it and had to ask BHS. They then notified us that it probably fell during their preparation and that someone saw it broken on the ground and trashed it. It would have been great if they had came forward with that information first.
However, I think we will be using them again if there are any future needs. I must say, Craig and his counterpart, Andrew, did a good job with making us feel comfortable and in good hands. They did respond fairly quickly to emails/​calls. They were also flexible with us when we wanted to add more things to their project.

These guys are great. Andrew and Craig were excellent at communicating during the project and his team did a great job painting my garage and door and hanging new shutters. I am very pleased with the results and the cost. It was refreshing to deal with an honest company that wants to make sure you are satisfied. I will definitely use them again for future needs.

After my «regular» painter became less «regular» after 10 years, I went in search of a painting service who would be interested in small, medium and large size residential work as we usually do «some painting» every year. I got a few quotes and selected Beautiful Home Services. Andrew was on time and professional in reviewing the work and giving me a timely quote. He also helped me make an adjustment to keep the work within budget. The work was done on time by a fairly large crew and the follow up work to make a couple of things perfect was done and handled with no complaints to beautiful results. Andrew’s partner, Craig, does the on-​site visits to be sure the crew is doing a top job. I recommend Beautiful Home Services without reservation!

I had used Beautiful Home Services in the past to replace rotten wood on the exterior of my home and to paint the exterior trim, and was very satisfied with their work. That was the reason that I decided to use them to repair sheetrock and paint several areas inside my home. The painting work was okay but the sheetrock repair was very poor. After four attempts to correct their work, the last time being today, there are still areas that are noticeably poorly done. The crew also does not clean up well after themselves. I am tried of cleaning up after them and having my house in disarray, so I will pay them and move on. I will not use them again and will not recommend them to my friends and neighbors. You have lost a repeat customer Beautiful Home Services.

BHS were extremely friendly and great to
work with! They got the job and quick which was huge for us. We needed to widen a door frame– they expanded, painted and made it look good as new. The only reason for not rating 5 stars is that we may have to do a touch up on the flooring as they didn’t have the materials on hand. They were prompt
on calling to check our status and make sure we were happy! We will be using again for future projects.

Andrew and Craig have done serious remodeling and painting inside and major exterior repairs outside for us. The work is always first-​class and on time. Highly recommended!

I hired BHS to turn a large storage closet in my master bedroom into two separate closets. They created an amazing walk-​in and a smaller storage closet. Andrew and Craig were able to take my original idea and give me suggestions to give me the best possible space.
The crew was professional and hardworking! They finished the job in less than a week even with the cold temperatures. I highly recommend working with Beautiful Home Services!

Before I get into the review, here is my rating system: 1 star = poor, 2 = adequate, 3 = average, 4 = very good, 5 = excellent. I wouldn’t consider returning to 1 or 2 star places and I would only return to a 3 star place if there wasn’t a better option.
And also, let me say that finding a good, reliable, and courteous contractor is really difficult! Some places have not even bothered to return a phone call — I know that the DC metro area businesses are in demand, but I would at least appreciate a call back. Or when a business agrees to provide me with a written estimate, to actually follow through and provide me with that estimate instead of phasing out communications because the job is «too small» or some other reason. I’m keenly aware of the importance of customer service — I’m always amazed at the contrast in customer service between Japan and the US. Yes, different culture, norms, and expectations, yet the gap seems so big — I don’t always feel respected as a customer when dealing with businesses in the US.
Beautiful Home Services (BHS) is a company I will be returning to down the road because of their great work, as well as exceptional customer service. None of the negative stuff that I was ranting about in the previous paragraph apply to them. In fact, I’ve been in touch with them for a potential second job. Andrew and Craig are friendly, knowledgeable, and reliable people to work with. They understand the importance of proper customer service, have treated me respectfully, and have listened to my concerns without being dismissive, judgmental, or rude. Also, another word that applies to BHS that doesn’t apply to many other contractors, conscientiousness. I think their customer service is great because they are conscientious in what they do.
Now with respect to their work. A few months ago, I hired BHS to paint my recently purchased two floor condo in the City of Fairfax (they’re in MD but I’m very glad they came out to Fairfax!). The paint work was for all the walls (1^st and 2^nd floor), crown molding (1^st floor), and the ceiling (1^st floor). I also requested removal of wallpaper from 1^st floor powder room — I’m sure it was not an easy job since the previous owner painted over the wallpaper, so the wallpaper was likely caked to the drywall quite a bit. Lastly, I requested some drywall repair (smooth out rough looking portion of a ceiling, fix drywall tape that was sort of popping out and resulting in the paint peeling, and patching up a hole in the ceiling after the sprinkler company cut some of the drywall near a sprinkler head to raise the sprinkler head).
Andrew came for the estimate and we talked for a good while about the job and what to expect. Being a first time homeowner, it was helpful to hear Andrew’s recommendations, observations, and description of what the job entailed. For the walkthrough, I met up with Craig and reviewed their work. While they did return for a bit of touch up work after they completed the initial job, I think the work they did was great overall. My place looks so much better! The paint job was very good and the drywall areas look like there were no issues to begin with!
As long as BHS continues this type of great work, not only will they continue to get my business but I will have no hesitation referring them to friends, family, colleagues, and neighbors. Their great customer service has been evident from the get-​go, and they back it up with great work. Thank you Andrew and Craig — please continue to keep up the great work!
