Hertz Rent A Car

This location is in the Autometrics body shop. I picked up my repaired car 5÷12÷15. Very happy with the auto repair. Hertz however is a different story. Filled the car with gas ($ 24.27) less than 7 miles form Hertz and I get a call that evening saying the car was on ⁷⁄₈ and they charged my account for what appears to be over 2 gallons or another $ 23.62. I rent cars on business at least once per month. This has never happened to me before.
Do not drop car and expect a fair deal.

So if I could give a negative rating, I would!!!
Flying a red-​eye from San Diego to Detroit so I was exhausted — they knew what time I would be arriving and I requested a car be ready for me since I was on a tight time schedule. Got to the desk — NO CAR AVAILABLE. Waited for 45 min and they had a car for me. Walked me out to the car and it was COVERED with DEEP DENTS like it was sitting out in a golf range! Utah plates half-​peeled off. Key broke off from the fob the first time I tried to get it out of the ignition!
AND — on the tag, IN BIG RED LETTERS IT SAYS: DNR. What does that mean??? DO NOT RENT!!! What a bunch of friggin idiots!
Called the cust service line and spent probably 5 hours being transferred, being hung up on, disconnected, etc. Finally they found a car for me in Pontiac — I drove to this location and OMAR the incompetent manager, REFUSED to swap out the shitty car and said that he couldn’t help me. He would only give me another car if I paid the higher prices on them!!! I asked him for the cust service number — for HIS direct line so I didn’t have to sit on hold forever and he said he didn’t have one. So I sat in his office on hold while he sat there and stared at me. HE WAS AN ABSOLUTELY USELESS DOUCHE BAG. He offered me no viable solutions or options EVEN THOUGH THIS IS A HERTZ location!!! He refused to exchange the car. I got back in the piece of shit rented to me. Spent another 2 hours on the phone with Karen in cust service & they finally hooked me up with a nice car at the Flint airport.
What a nightmare. After my trip, I called cust service to file a complaint and demand a refund for the 2 days I had to drive that piece of junk. NOPE — they said it’s not their responsibility!!!
I WILL NEVER RENT WITH HERTZ AGAIN! No WONDER their stock fell 13% the following week with this poor service and substandard equipment!!!
