Cooper’s Salvage Yard & Wrecker Service

This is the stereotypical tow yard that’s just white trash running a racket.
My car got towed on a Thursday afternoon. It costs $ 295 for me to pick it up on Monday. I was charged for the Saturday and Sunday that they were closed, and I didn’t even have the option of picking my car up.
In that total price of $ 295, ** $ 161** was charged for the tow. Wtf?! I had my car towed a few times over my years. It’s always cost $ 50-​$ 70. When I asked the gross redneck working the front desk why $ 161, she claimed the state makes them charge that much.
WTF!!! That makes zero sense.
I will never use Coopers when I need a tow. Ill be sticking with Dave’s. He’s one of the nicest, most honest in the business. Dave has even waived my tow charge once. Coopers should go watch Dave’s and take notes. But I doubt their front desk even knows how to write.

Recently, my family was visiting the New Orleans area in our 5^th Wheel.
One night after visiting with some family, we got back to our trailer camp and we unable to get in. Our key just wouldn’t work in the lock. We were LOCKED OUT at midnight — in 100 degree heat !!!
Cooper’s sent out their guy and he was amazing. He tried everything in the book to get into that trailer. He laid on his back for 3 hours !!! It was HOT out !!
He took extreme care not to damage our unit. I’ve never seen somebody so dedicated. Heck, I would’ve given up after 20 minutes. It was hot, the bugs were flying, it was pitch dark and he had minimal tools to work with.
Finally, our hero popped the lock with a screwdriver (after obtaining my permission).
We can’t thank our guy enough for saving us from having to find a hotel at 3am, spending the money it would’ve taken and going thru the hassle of dealing with the same problem the following day !!!
THIS GUY DESERVES A RAISE (unfortunately, we did not get his name) — Cooper’s went way beyond the call of duty on this one !!!
I recommend them to anybody !!! They’re the best.
