Established in 1999.

Our NJ location opened in December of 1999 and is now the largest Precision Door Franchise in the country. We are a recipient of the Franchise of the Year Award, a member of the International Door Association, A+ BBB rating, SuperService Award winner on Angie’s List and a LiftMaster Provantage Dealer.

Not only did he show up early but he was kind polite and got the work done in ½ the time I thought it would take. He was excellent the company should be complemented they sure know how to hire great workers that explain everything to you before they start the job and give you the best advise for your situation. My tech Lou was professional on time and knowledgeable. The company is definitely one to recommend, from the time I made the appointment the customer service was impeccable and the follow up is on point.

Wonderful service — from my initial call setting up my appointment to the outstanding service from Rick C. who walked us through the problems with our garage door. He was friendly and communicated everything very clearly. After evaluating our garage and finding some major issues, he was able to resolve them very quickly — everything is working perfectly now. I had a tech by the name of Guy come to my home because my newly installed garage door opener wasn’t working and the original installer was unable to send anyone within a appropriate time and I needed it taken care of. Guy informed me based on his inspection that the opener was not appropriate for the size and weight of the door but that they didn’t replace certain parts that should of been but left the old and included them in my bill. Guy from Precision was honest, gave me very fair solutions and even said I should call Rissland and get my money back .
Guy left me feeling better because he was just as upset with how I got taken advantage of for just about $ 700.00 an old model opener with poor installation. Guy is getting a call back for a new garage door.

Garage door motor was dead. Called friday and they were able to see me on Friday (yay). Customer service said the tech would call me before coming (yay). This way I didn’t have to wait in my house all afternoon. His name was james M. He was very professional. Gave me great pricing since I was a repeat customer. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 was after he left there was a discrepancy regarding a coupon. Some my fault some his. I called customer service and the mgr basically said they can’t do anything about it in a snooty voice. I asked for someone hire up to call me. Got call next business day and he was so sweet Getting extra remote which I could use to compensate. (Yay!) I would use them again but read the coupon from top to bottom.

Paid $ 69 to have a service rep come to my home and give me a quote of $ 600+ to replace two torsion springs.
After picking my jaw up off the floor, I told him that it was considerably more than I anticipated, and that I would have to get back to him.
It’s unfortunate that I had to pay for the visit, but in the long run, that $ 69 ended up saving me over $ 400.
After researching the actual price of coated torsion springs, I decided to get another quote.
Interestingly, I just had another company, a reputable one at that, do the job for $ 255 + tax!
Hard to believe that companies as brazenly thieving as Precision, manage to stay in business.
These guys make discount Persian rug stores look honest and ethical.
I don’t know why anyone would consider using them, but if you do, you better do your homework.

My mother was having trouble with her garage door not opening. I found precision with a google search and scheduled an appointment for the very next day. I was surprised to find an email in my inbox a few minutes later not only confirming my appointment, but also providing a name, picture and little bio about the technician who will be showing up. I confirmed with my mother — and sure enough, it was the guy pictured. This definitely made me feel better about the whole experience. Apart from that — the technician showed up and without wasting any time, had the garage door working flawlessly within half an hour of his arrival. Professional and knowledgeable staff, reasonable prices and good service — that’s a 5 star experience in my book!

When I posted my original review of this company months ago I received a phone call from the owner telling me he wasn’t happy with the service we were provided by his employee. The owner was a working professional who cared about his business and reviews like mine and others don’t help him. I received a message today from the owner advising me that the employee who had been to our house was released from his employment with their company. I applaud the company for letting this employee go as well as following up with me to tell me that they took my complaint and others about him seriously. Customer Service is what it’s all about!
