Some of the best dame tacos around !! Try the tripe and tongue tacos if you’re feeling adventurous and this is as authentic as it gets, everybody here barely speaks English(no point intended) and that’s always a good sign when in search for authentic Mexican food.

Great delicious authentic Mexican food. Best tacos in south FL. Only complaint is that the service is slow even when there are very few tables occupied.

It’s the bomb. Tacos al pastor are simply the best. Shrimp combination platter is fantastic. Just go there as often as you can. Just do it. If I lived in south Florida I would eat there as often as I could.

What a shame! This was our 3rd(and last) visit to eat authentic taqueria style food only to be served drinks, chips and salsa. It was 4 adults and two kids on a very busy Sunday lunch. We waited 45 min for our partial order to be filled, the kids plates and one adult plate. We waited another 20 minutes for the rest before finally telling a random waitress to please check on our food. No one had a clue. Needless to say we were not given an apology nor an explanation. We spoke to an older man, probably the owner but by then they just wanted to clear our table for the next bunch. We left completely disgusted at the lack of service… and hungry… What a complete waste of time!

I went about a month ago, I had the tacos de carne asada. They don’t compare to any other in south Florida. Very authentic, they make their own chips, you can see and taste the flavor. Their Horchata was delicious. The staff was friendly and they were full on a Sunday afternoon.

So much of «Mexican» food in South Florida has other Latin overtones. This IS Mexican. Saturday is the day to come for outstanding pasole and traditional tamales, especially the pork and mole versions. Love the tacos el pastor!

Everything was really good except the coca-cola. Thought it was made on Mexico. But when I drank it I realized it had a different taste, an unpleasant taste! It was from El Salvador! Make sure you don’t drink Coke from ‘El Salvador’! You’re Welcome!

Very authentic Mexican fare. Don’t expect your typical«Mexican» food. It all looks different than what this Gringo is used too. That being said, the food is very good. All is prepared within view & is delicious. If you are a typical Gringo like me, make sure you look at the pictures on the menu next to the food choices-it’s from a different region in Mexico so it’s prepared differently than what we usually see. Everything is home made including their delicious red & green salsas. Also try their freshly squeezed juices, especially the cantaloupe, they are unique & refreshing.

I was in the mood for tacos! Ended up eating 5, they were on the smaller side which was perfect to try the different meats. Examples were chorizo. Barbacoa(lamb). Chicken. Steak. The carnitas(pork) was definitely my favorite. Moist and porky goodness. Make sure to pay attention when you’re headed there, it’s a little tricky to find if you’re going north on Dixie. Very authentic Mexican vibe! Nothing but Spanish everywhere. I will be back! Cheap, delicious authentic Mexican food!

I asked a couple Mexican guys where the best Mexican food around Broward is and they all told me Doña Raquél. So I had to try it and it is as good as they say is it. The place is comfortable and the service was very friendly. The food is fresh, authentic, and very cheap. Definitely the best and most authentic Mexican food I’ve had since living in Texas. I’ll definitely be back to what is now my new favorite Mexican place.

Service was fantastic. Loved all the tacos, including the el pastor and pork shoulder. They also do a grilled quesadilla that was corn based and awesome.

I’ve had this place bookmarked for awhile now, and finally found an opportunity to check it out with Steve D. for lunch one day. Turns out Steve had been here before with another co-worker, but hadn’t really remembered. The way the streets are set up in this area you’ll most likely end up parking on the backside of the building/plaza if you’re coming from the south(if coming from the north you should be able to pull into the actual plaza lot). The plaza itself consists of a few different store fronts, and we accidentally walked into the market next door when we first arrived. And then walked back in again on the way out so that we could grab some Mexican Cokes lol. Once we found the right door, we grabbed two seats and began looking over the menu. This place is pretty spacious and you shouldn’t have an issue getting a table. The menu is large as well, and they brought out some chips and salsa for us to munch on while deciding what to order. I loved that almost everything can come ala carte and you’re not stuck ordering a combo plate of all one thing. This meant I was able to try everything(for Unilocal research of course) and settled on a steak sope, a pork tamale, a tongue taco and a tripe taco, each item being ~$ 2.50 each. I’ll be honest and say the sope wasn’t the best I’ve ever had… but the tamale and the tacos were on point! The menu is fully in Spanish and English, so don’t have any fears of not knowing the language. Our server spoke fluent English too :) This is definitely a good spot to grab some authentic Mexican on the cheap. I can’t wait to go back and get some chilaquiles! YUM!

A friend recommended this Mexican restaurant and I was surprised how good, fresh, and light everything is! Dishes are not heavy and dense like those I’ve had in New York. Décor looks a bit dated but everyone was cherry and friendly.

If you are looking for a real good mexican restaurant, look no further! The tacos are delicious! Tamales are great, and the sopes are on point! I’d skip the fried quesadillas though. It’s a shame the barbacoa tacos are only available on Sundays. … other than that, it was a great experience overall.

Saw this place on So FL dines. Stopped by 3 times on my way back home from the Isle. Everything good to great Fabulous Mole sauce. They said they where out of Green mole and only had the red.(never even heard of green. The Al Pastor is great too. the only reason I give 4 stars and not five is appetizers have always arrived either with or after my main dish! so order them first and when they come order your main meal. This place is as authenic and good as they come and it is dirt cheap!

This taquería is definitely as good as it gets in this area. It’s so good, it could even stay in business in Southern California. Just note the number of actual Mexicans who frequent this restaurant if you need convincing. They do all the tacos, including the ones that make most Americans squeamish: beef tongue, pork skins. They also serve menudo and pozole on weekends. I haven’t had anything I didn’t like. If you’re a beginner, try the the enchiladas.
