Fix Plus

So I’m thinking something is weird/​wrong with my iPhone, because the home button seems tilted and not as responsive as usual. I took my iPhone out of the otterbox case and I realize the left side/​edge of the glass top screen has separated from the side case, revealing a 1/​16″ gap where I can see inside my iPhone.
I call AT&T, they tell me to go to the Apple Store, my phone is no longer under warranty, and it might cost me $ 129 to get repaired.
I remembered a store in Pompano that someone told me about that fixed iPhones, and went to Unilocal and Google to find out more about it. And I found Tech Service Pros.
I called them at 3, told them what was going on, they said they’re open till 7, come on in they’ll try to fix my phone.
I showed up at 4 at the 623 North Federal Highway store (just north of the post office on the west side of Federal) and waited like 5? Minutes as previous customers were just paying for their phone repair and leaving. Rick, their technician, took my phone, checked the serial number, and told me there are two known recalls on my iPhone 5, one for the battery and one for the button. Funny though, after checking my serial number on the recall list, my phone is not covered under the Apple recall, it’s suffering from a «bulging battery», whereby through the course of use, the battery in the phone gets hot and expands kinda like a bubble, pushing my screen away from my phone case.
Then I get the bad news: I need a battery, and the bad news is it isn’t under warranty. The good news is it can be fixed in 30 minutes, and it will be less than $ 50.
I’m kinda in shock, was expecting a price higher than the Apple store, and told Rick to proceed. 25 minutes later, my phone is like new, with a new battery, button perfectly centered, screen sealed along the left edge where the gap was before. I couldn’t ask for more, in less time. I put the phone through its paces in the past two days, and everything’s running like new.
Can’t thank Rick and the crew at Tech Service Pros enough for the excellent service, and it taught me something as well about my phone and me. The 25 minutes without my phone seemed like days, and I realized how much I depended upon it throughout the day, which can be both good and bad. Like all of us, at times we need to take a break from technology, and not be so entirely dependent upon it that the lack of it for 25 minutes (or longer) causes discomfort or minor anxiety.

Excellent service. They replaced my iPad2 glass quicker than promised. Both people I dealt with were very pleasant and I was pleased with price of the repair. I don’t plan on breaking anything in the near future, but with a 4 and 13 year old, I’m sure I’ll see you again. Soon!

Brought in my father’s dead old PC to retrieve the data from the hard drive. No appointment was necessary, they served me right away, and the job was done quickly and completely. Both techs that I spoke to were friendly and professional, and the place was clean and well-​organized. The job was done to my complete satisfaction and the price was excellent. Highly recommended.

I have been here 3x since March. 1^st and 2^nd time was to fix my cracked iPhone screen. I was charged a fair price both times as well as given the Verizon discount for the replacement screens and the protective screen (I should have listened and purchased it the 1^st time. The owner also spent time with me (he didn’t have to) to explain my storage and how to free up space, etc… Then I went a 3^rd time just last week because I lost my phone and the ringer was on silent and I needed help locating it. The owner came with me to my house (true story) lol to help me find the phone by sending a sound signal to it. I tried to buy him lunch, but he wouldn’t take my $$$. They have my business for as long as they are there… I wont ever go anywhere else

Love this store! Best place I’ve taken my phone to for a repair. They charged me $ 155 to fix my iPhone 6 screen, which isn’t much cheaper than other stores but it’s in the right price range. They quoted me an hour and a half for the service to be done, but they finished in half an hour! Always great to get something sooner than expected.
After a few weeks, I noticed that the screen was peeling off my phone. I took it back into the store and spoke to Rick. In the past, I’ve heard every excuse to avoid fixing something under the warranty, but Rick explained that the issue was with the adhesive used to make the glass, and that they would replace it for me right away. He even gave me a discount on a tempered glass!
When I shop at a business, I appreciate fast service and quality customer service. I’d rather pay a few extra bucks to get something taken care of the right way. Rick has my business for life, I just hope I don’t have to come in too often!

Did not expect to have to return here so soon, having upgraded to an iPhone 6 in November. Unfortunately I dropped my new phone this afternoon and shattered the screen. I immediately called Tech Service Pros and rushed over to have a new one installed. Once again, they provided very professional, timely service. I actually had insurance for this but did not have the time to make an appointment or drive out to an Apple Store. I love that this place is close and the people are always friendly. They understand how much we depend on our gadgets and show compassion and respect to everyone I’ve seen them deal with.

These guys were great! Professional, courteous, and friendly. I went in when my smashed iPhone finally started to loose the glass. They fixed it at a discount because I found them on Unilocal.It was done in about an hour. The convenience was worth paying a little bit more than the Apple Store. Love this place and will for sure return.

These guys are great. Very helpful and also very pleasant to work with. I went in with my daughters iPhone, that had a broken screen and they fixed it perfectly. I should mention that we showed up very near closing and they actually stayed late to get it done. The place was busy which always tells me that they are doing something right. I’m from Canada so it was great to find someplace out of the blue that treated my wife and I so well.

My mom had wanted a laptop for a long time. Even though she had a perfectly good desktop, my dad bought her a Lenovo touch-​screen laptop for her birthday last year. As suspected, she hardly ever used it, opting to stick to the more familiar desktop. I can count on one hand the amount of times over the past year I’ve seen her use the laptop.
So imagine my surprise when she calls me to tell me that it was broken.
«Mom, I’m going to need you to be more specific.»
«I don’t know, I tried to plug the thing in, and the other thing broke.»
My mom overuses the word thing. It’s the antithesis of helpful when it comes to being descriptive. So I went to my parents’ house to see for myself what was wrong, thinking I could fix it. Turned out that when she tried to plug the laptop in to charge it, the port in the computer broke from the frame and fell inside. This, despite the fact that she’s never moved the computer from the desk, so it’s not like she dropped it and the part came loose. Seemed simple, but I wasn’t about to take apart a whole computer. Besides, it was still under warranty, and the Lenovo rep I spoke to on the phone confirmed it would be covered. So off it went to the repair facility to be fixed… or so I thought.
Got a call a few days later from someone from India who claimed her name was Michelle, telling me that it was «normal wear and tear» and that it was not covered under the warranty, despite being told otherwise when I described what exactly was wrong. Then she tells me they are going to charge us $ 279 to fix it. Um, hell no. I let «Michelle» have it, telling her that the computer had maybe been used five times and if that was considered normal wear and tear, then Lenovo should be ashamed of themselves and their so-​called quality. I told them it was clearly a poor design and that they were sadly mistaken if they thought I’d pay that outrageous amount just because they already had my computer in hand. «Michelle,» either not understanding English very well or just reading from a script (or both), just said they would send the computer back to me.
I knew if I took it locally to be repaired, I wouldn’t have to pay anywhere near $ 279 for such a simple fix. My co-​worker recommended Tech Service Pros, who had fixed her daughter’s computer several times. I brought the POS Lenovo to Rick, who was very surprised that it was not covered under the warranty. He was very busy, but said they would call me later that afternoon or the next day.
Rick called me the next afternoon, and asked, «Who worked on this computer before you brought it in?» I told him it was Lenovo. He didn’t elaborate as to why he asked, but agreed with my assessment that this was a very poorly-​designed computer. He said that just gluing it back together would all but guarantee that the part would break again, so he used some material to wedge it in more tightly. He said I could come pick it up the next day, so when I got there, I found out why he had asked who else had opened the computer. Turns out the jerks at Lenovo had opened it, could have fixed it very easily, but didn’t when I refused to pay… then closed the computer and left out SEVEN screws (there are only NINE in total!). He was flabbergasted that a computer company would return a laptop this way. But thankfully it was now fixed and working once more, and Rick charged $ 74.20 for the repair. That was a far more reasonable price than what Lenovo was trying to con me into paying.
I hope I don’t have to come back here, but these guys were honest and fair when it came to fixing the computer. They also fix phones, and they were clearly very busy since I think others also know how reasonable they are here.

I cannot say enough about Rick and the crew at Tech Service Pros. I brought in my PC that wouldn’t boot. In my bones I dreaded the verdict I knew was coming… hard drive DOA! It had been awhile since my last backup so I was worried about what I was going to lose. Anyone else would have just slapped in a new drive and said sorry, but not Rick. He really wanted to make it work out. He worked overtime for a few days, tried a few new tricks, and, RECOVERED EVERYTHING ON THE DRIVE. New HD, clean reinstall of Windows, and a few extras all for an incredibly reasonable price. DO NOT go anywhere else for your computer issues, Tech Service Pros is the BEST!

Life savers!!! Had a broken external hard drive, took it to Best Buy and they said they couldn’t help me. I’d have to send it off for 2 – 4 weeks and maybe they could fix it and the pricing would start at $ 249. Found this place based on Unilocal reviews and I’m so happy I did! Walked in with no appt and they got me up and running in 15 minutes for a very reasonable price. Super friendly and helpful! Thank you so much!

I needed files retrieved from a hard drive from a computer that went down. In only a matter of minutes, Henrique recovered all of my files and his fee was so reasonable I could not believe it. Fantastic service! Exceptionally reasonable pricing! You can’t go wrong.

These guys are phenomenal to say the least. I originally came in for an iPhone 5c screen replacement. It was fixed very promptly and worked great. After a few days I noticed some issues so I brought it in. They were very very understanding and replaced the screen again at no charge!!! Ever since then it’s been perfect. I then came in later for an iPhone 4 screen replacement which has also been perfect since the day I got it back. Extremely friendly staff and amazing customer service!!!

Great service! So glad I decided to take my dead iPhone 5 there. I dropped it off Friday at lunch… and it was repaired by 6pm! Would definitely use them again. Highly recommend!

Great Service! Took my phone in this morning after taking it to another tech who was unable to fix it, and actually made the problem much worse! The Tech Service Pros, were patient, and helpful to me, as I was so frustrated by the previous techs who had tried to repair it. I love this place and have recommended it to all that need repairs on anything Tech. Thank you guys for helping me.

I took my iphone in with water damage, I has no idea how bad it was. I kept thinking they weren’t able to fix it because I called them to see when my phone would be ready they told me to wait exactly 24 hrs and I did I came back and my phone was brand new! I loved it! These people will fix anything and it’s very affordable

Ridiculous is what they are! If I could I would give them NEGATIVE stars!
I’m sure they have the technical expertise to fix your phone or your computer but they DEFINITELY lack in customer service and are very slick. You cannot trust them with chargin you the right amount for your problem. I found them on craigslist and the ad said $ 50 for iphone 4 screen repair and once i got there and asked them how much it is to confirm the receptionist said $ 75. So i told her bout the ad and she said now that you mentioned the ad it will be $ 50. They took around 4 hrs to fix the phone instead of the 30 mins they promised. I came back 4 times and still got asked to wait. Along with the screen, i asked to fix the home button as well but when i came to pick up the phone they told me everything was fixed however, the home button was the same. So upon inquiry the receptionist told me that she accidentally asked the tech to fix the power button, which was working just fine, instead of the home button. These guys are so slick that they were charging me an extra $ 40 to fix something which wasn’t even broken. Any how, so she went back to get that fixed and once again I had to wait half an hour to have that fixed. When i got my phone back upon inspection i found out that the proximity sensor wasn’t working and so i asked to them to see if they didn’t assemble the phone right due to which the sensor wasn’t working. Once again, she took the phone back to get it fixed while I waited. However, before she took the phone back in she tried to be clever and tell me that the proximity sensor wasn’t working when i came in with the phone, which was a whole lot of crap.
I’m thoroughly disappointed in their service and WILL NOT entrust them with my gadgets ever again. I will not be going back to these guys for anything and hope nobody falls into their trap either!

I took Two Galaxy phones into them. One had fallen onto the pool, and one had a cracked screen. They were able in just a few hours build me a complete working phone for only 45 $!
Totally amazng service, friendly and from what I saw and experienced very open and honest about what can be done. Thanks so much!
