Description

Specialties

This old house, converted into a restaurant, has been home to the Cypress Nook for the last 36 years serving customer favorites such as Weiner Schnitzel, Schweinebraten, Schweinehaxen, home-made red cabbage, hearty omelette’s, and many more German-American dishes.

We specialize in home-made authentic German-American breakfast, lunch and dinner fare.

History

Established in 1979.

The Cypress Nook Restaurant has a long history as the oldest German-American restaurant in Pompano Beach and perhaps in Florida, and it all starts back in 1958. Our property sits on one of the oldest pieces of land in Pompano Beach, which once was just an ordinary house with a small cottage in the rear and a dirt road as the entrance.

Today it still stands as it did when it was built and captures the charm and old-time essence of yesteryear. This old house has been home to the Cypress Nook Restaurant for the last 32 years.
