Coastal Comfort Air Conditioning

A/​C went out at our 1700 sf East Fort Lauderdale home mid-​July! Coastal Comfort had our unit fixed and back in action in less than 24 Hours. Customer service was great, response time wonderful and price was very reasonable. Great job!

Coastal was recommended by my boss, because I need a new AC unit. I called for an appointment. It was scheduled for last Thursday until i told her my house was in Miami. I was told somebody to get back with me. I called on Thursday and was told someone would get back to me on Friday. Guess they don’t need the business. Unfortunately I am without AC.

if you want comfort, do not use coastal comfort. the phone receptionist is terrible, no customer service skills whatsoever.
furthermore, they came out to do maintenance on my air conditioning units today, and now one is not working.
this is the second time this happened. 6 months ago they came out for maintenance, and the next day the ac did not work!!!
i guess they’re getting better, tho. last time the ac lasted for one day. this time the ac was not functional within 5 hours after they left!!!
i will never use this company again.

I can not recommend Coastal Comfort. Customer service does not exist. The people that answer the phone are dis-​interested. One young woman was short in tone to me and rude. I spent money on a repair, and the repair technician recommended that though the unit was working, that I should consider getting the unit replaced. He said I would get a credit toward a new unit for the work he had done. He said someone would call me to get an estimate. A day passed and no one called. I called the next day twice, was told someone would call, no one did. I called the technician back, and he said he would have someone call me, and no one did. It became obvious they were not interested in my business.
I had another company come by to give me an estimate, and that company said there was no reason I needed a new unit. I showed them the invoice from Coastal Comfort and the other company technician (the company’s owner) said the invoice I paid was twice what his company would have paid for the same work. I feel doomed by Coastal Comfort. I will not be using them again; and do not recommend you use them.

We have been using CC for 2 years for regular scheduled AC maintenance. When we experienced a problem, Tony, the owner addressed it personally, much to our mutual satisfaction. I would highly recommend this company and expect to work with them for years to come.

Wow describes the service we received. This company did all it contracted for and more. The service people were so polite it was a pleasure having them in our place. They were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We had a new 4 ton a/​c unit installed and they handled everything from drawings, permits and final inspection.
