First and foremost I’d like to say that she doesn’t have set prices. She’ll tell you one price then tell the next person a different price for the same style. i let her do medium box braids at bra strap length about 1 yr ago. She told me $ 125 the previous day then when i got there told me $ 130. I didn’t trip about the extra $ 5 i gave it to her. Went back for ghana braids that she swore she knew how to do. They turned out nothing like the picture and i would have liked them done over BUT i still paid her because they were neat. I go to her again for a press and curl. She dug into my scalp soo hard with her nails during a wash that when i got home i had a big scab just behind my edges. Didn’t complain or call her about that. On Saturday i call to schedule an appointment for boxbraids. She has me send her a picture. She claims the picture didn’t come up so asks me what did i charge you last time? I told her $ 125 and brought $ 125. When i get there she gets smart and says why you bring $ 125 if the price is $ 130. How about as a stylist you should be able to give me a set price on something so basic. She tried to tell me my box braids were $ 170 job ha. I told her do whatever you can for $ 125. I get home and didn’t notice til 2 days later that she missed a braid.. I had to put it in myself. She was rushing to do my hair because she had a party to go to which has nothing to do with me. I text to tell her she missed a braid and what do you know, NO response. Smh never going back there. Gave her WAY too many chances and money!

Evelyn, the owner, has been doing my hair for seven years… press and curls, flat irons and braids. She’s the best braider I’ve ever had… She’s fast, neat, doesn’t cause breakage from tension, is reasonably priced and definitely has the right hands to encourage hair growth. She comes in early and will work late… She is always catering to her clients. I couldn’t say enough about her work.

My beautician was a no show for my weekend appointment. After looking around, I found a licensed beautician to assist me with an emergency hair appointment. She was going to do my hair at 9:30 a.m. on Monday morning. Because she was running behind, she referred me to her friend Evelyn who had a shop right next door to hers. I went to Evelyn at 9:30 and I was seated around 10. Evelyn did a really good job on my hair. She’s a really nice lady and she has a small quaint shop.
