Laguna Technical College

The current owner of the school, Cynthia, does not want to help me at all. I requested an old transcript and she sent it back with the WRONG grades. I worked so terribly hard to get straight A’s and am still paying back government student loans. When I called to ask her to fix them because I was able to find an original with my correct grades, she stated that my transcripts were too old and that «There is nothing I can do for you, you will have to take the classes again.» WHAT!!! Why were you able to do it a month ago with the wrong grades? I’m totally disgusted by her lack of compassion! I need this transcript to get into a BA program and having the best grades possible is crucial.
Take the time to go to a real college, even a junior college because when it really matters they won’t be able to help you attain higher education.

A great school for taking quick course and learning valuable information. Done in one weekend for 15 hours, definitely worth the time and money :)

This school is the best school ever! This facility has the best staff. Everyone is so friendly and encouraging it’s like a breath of fresh air. I highly recommend this school for anyone who is interested in becoming a teacher. I love love loveeeeeeee it here!

Laguna Tech has been a life changing experience for me. After being a stay at home mother for almost a decade I decided it was time to find a career that would allow me to grow as an independent woman. I wanted to be able to find a balance of being a mother and becoming a working student all at once. Laguna Tech offered me the ideal scenario. The classes were convenient and informative. Mr. Jimenez along with Mrs. Brown truly helped me feel confident and empowered in my venture as an early child care provider. They were both, along with a the professors on campus readily available to assist me, guide me, council me, and offer all the moral support I could ever hope for. I would strongly recommend Laguna Technical College for anyone looking to completely your early childhood education in a convenient, fun, and proactive way.

After working in the school/​childcare setting for most of my adult life, after retiring, I suddenly became a widow at the age of 58 and was forced to return to the workforce to support me and my son. I was hired at preschools and childcare centers but was limited to duties and pay because I did not have my ECE units required to teach. I was made aware of Laguna Tech through a wonderful friend. After a meeting with the owner and director, I knew this was the place for me to further my career. They were kind, understanding and knowledgeable regarding my career and financial needs. Throughout the four months I was in school and earning my credits, I truly began to appreciate these wonderful teachers. They were precise, creative in their teaching methods and truly fun to be with. They made the long classes enjoyable. They made a major change in my life and now I have a good job at a well known preschool. I cannot say thank you enough to these generous people who took the time to make my life important and rewarding. I would certainly recommend Laguna Technical to anyone interested in going to school to enter into a rewarding lifetime career. I try not to give negative reviews but I am so frustrated with this «School»
I took a Child Development class from Laguna Tech in 2012 which I paid twice what I would’ve paid at a traditional college so that I could quickly have certification for employment. The class was sub-​par and the teacher was disorganized but the requirement was met.
Now, I am applying for other jobs to further my career and need an original copy of my transcripts, which is a completely normal request. Mira Costa College was able to make a copy of «unofficial transcripts» available the same day and send me an official copy within 5 days. Laguna Tech has made it nearly impossible for me. I have reached out to them via phone and internet repeatedly over the past 3 weeks. The third time I called they claim they are emailing me, but I am not receiving said emails, this is very important to me so I am being vigilant about checking my inbox, spam, and voice mail regularly. When I do get in touch with someone, they are incredibly defensive and rude. I have expressed every time that I just want access to my transcripts. I am so disappointed in this school and their staff. I will likely be re-​taking this class in the fall at a real college so that I won’t have to endure this when I need my transcripts in the future. As I said, needing a copy of ones transcripts is a normal occurance.

Been trying to contact the school with the phone number provided on their website and here on Unilocal for a few days now, and each time the person on the other end of the call answers with a very rude and unprofessional tone. I have called about 8 times to inquire about one of their programs, and each time she answers, she would dismiss me by saying she was busy and would return my call at a later time (which she has not done), or would not even ask what my call was about. For a school that relies on prospective students to survive, whoever is answering your phones is definitely killing your business and reputation. May I suggest hiring someone to specifically answer phones and direct them to the right person that will address all inquiries immediately, instead of giving callers the runaround. First impressions always matter… and for most businesses, it all begins and ends with the first phone call.
